ನೆಹೆಮೀಯನು 7
1 ೧ ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ನಾನು ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದೆನು; ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರನ್ನೂ, ಗಾಯಕರನ್ನೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನೂ ನೇಮಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
Now it happened, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 ೨ ಆನಂತರ ನನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಹನಾನಿಗೂ, ಬಹಳ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನೂ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನೂ, ಕೋಟೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೂ ಆದ ಹನನ್ಯನಿಗೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು.
that I put my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the commander of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem; for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3 ೩ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಬಿಸಿಲೇರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಬಾರದು; ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿ ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾವಲಿನ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮನೆಯ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾವಲಿರುವಂತೆ ನೇಮಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದೆನು.
I said to them, "Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand guard, let them shut the doors, and you bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, with everyone near his house."
Now the city was wide and large; but the people were few in it, and the houses were not built.
5 ೫ ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಗಣ್ಯರನ್ನು, ಶ್ರೀಮಂತರನ್ನೂ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಜನಗಣತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಭೆಸೇರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದವರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯು ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
My God put into my heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found written in it:
6 ೬ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವದೇಶವಾದ ಯೆಹೂದ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಸ್ವಂತ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು.
These are the people of the province, who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and who returned to Jerusalem and to Judah, everyone to his city;
7 ೭ ಅವರು ಜೆರುಬ್ಬಾಬೆಲ್, ಯೇಷೂವ, ನೆಹೆಮೀಯ. ಅಜರ್ಯ, ರಗಮ್ಯ, ನಹಮಾನೀ, ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈ, ಬಿಲ್ಷಾನ್, ಮಿಸ್ಪೆರೆತ್, ಬಿಗ್ವೈ, ನೆಹೂಮ್, ಬಾಣ ಎಂಬ ನಾಯಕರೊಡನೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ:
who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel:
The descendants of Parosh, two thousand one hundred seventy-two.
The descendants of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy-two.
The descendants of Arah, six hundred fifty-two.
The descendants of Pahath-Moab, of the descendants of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred eighteen.
The descendants of Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
The descendants of Zattu, eight hundred forty-five.
The descendants of Zaccai, seven hundred sixty.
The descendants of Bani, six hundred forty-eight.
The descendants of Bebai, six hundred twenty-eight.
The descendants of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty-two.
The descendants of Adonikam, six hundred sixty-seven.
The descendants of Bigvai, two thousand sixty-seven.
The descendants of Adin, six hundred fifty-five.
The descendants of Ater, of Hezekiah, ninety-eight.
The descendants of Hashum, three hundred Twenty-eight.
The descendants of Bezai, three hundred twenty-four.
The descendants of Jorah, one hundred twelve.
The descendants of Gibbar, ninety-five.
The men of Bethlehem and Netophah, one hundred eighty-eight.
The men of Anathoth, one hundred twenty-eight.
The men of Beth Azmaveth, forty-two.
The men of Kiriath Jearim, Kephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty-three.
The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty-one.
The men of Michmas, one hundred and twenty-two.
The men of Bethel and Ai, a hundred twenty-three.
The men of the other Nebo, fifty-two.
The descendants of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred fifty-four.
The descendants of Harim, three hundred twenty.
The descendants of Jericho, three hundred forty-five.
The descendants of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty-one.
The descendants of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred thirty.
The cohanim: The descendants of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three.
The descendants of Immer, one thousand fifty-two.
The descendants of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven.
The descendants of Harim, one thousand seventeen.
The Levites: the descendants of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, of the descendants of Hodaviah, seventy-four.
The singers: the descendants of Asaph, one hundred forty-eight.
The gatekeepers: the descendants of Shallum, the descendants of Ater, the descendants of Talmon, the descendants of Akkub, the descendants of Hatita, the descendants of Shobai, one hundred thirty-eight.
The Nethinim: the descendants of Ziha, the descendants of Hasupha, the descendants of Tabbaoth,
the descendants of Keros, the descendants of Siaha, the descendants of Padon,
the descendants of Lebana, the descendants of Hagaba, the descendants of Salmai,
the descendants of Hanan, the descendants of Giddel, the descendants of Gahar,
the descendants of Reaiah, the descendants of Rezin, the descendants of Nekoda,
the descendants of Gazzam, the descendants of Uzza, the descendants of Paseah.
The descendants of Besai, the descendants of Meunim, the descendants of Nephusim,
the descendants of Bakbuk, the descendants of Hakupha, the descendants of Harhur,
the descendants of Bazluth, the descendants of Mehida, the descendants of Harsha,
the descendants of Barkos, the descendants of Sisera, the descendants of Temah,
the descendants of Neziah, the descendants of Hatipha.
The descendants of Solomon's servants: the descendants of Sotai, the descendants of Hassophereth, the descendants of Peruda,
the descendants of Jaalah, the descendants of Darkon, the descendants of Giddel,
the descendants of Shephatiah, the descendants of Hattil, the descendants of Pokereth Hazzebaim, the descendants of Amon.
All the Nethinim, and the descendants of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.
61 ೬೧ ತೇಲ್ಮೆಲಹ, ತೇಲ್ಹರ್ಷ, ಕೆರೂಬ್, ಆದ್ದೋನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇಮ್ಮೇರ್, ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಂದವರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ ತಾವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾರದವರಾದ,
These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not prove their ancestral houses, nor their descent, whether they were of Israel:
The descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, the descendants of Nekoda, six hundred forty-two.
63 ೬೩ ಯಾಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ: ಹೋಬಾಯ, ಹಕ್ಕೋಚ್, ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಇವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯ ದಾಖಲೆ ತೋರಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಹೋದರು. ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈ ಎಂಬುವನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ಯನಾದ ಬರ್ಜಿಲ್ಲೈಯ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬಾಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು.
Of the cohanim: the descendants of Hobaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, the descendants of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
64 ೬೪ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಂಶಾವಳಿ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಅವು ಸಿಕ್ಕದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧರೆಂದು ಯಾಜಕೋದ್ಯೋಗದಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು.
These searched for their genealogical records, but couldn't find them. Therefore they were deemed defiled and not allowed as cohanim.
65 ೬೫ ಊರೀಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ತುಮ್ಮೀಮುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ದೈವನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲವನಾದ ಯಾಜಕನು ಬರುವ ತನಕ ಇವರು ಮಹಾಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
The governor said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a cohen with Urim and Thummim.
The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
67 ೬೭ ಈ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಲ್ಪಡದ ಅವರ ಸೇವಕ ಸೇವಕಿಯರು ಏಳು ಸಾವಿರದ ಮುನ್ನೂರ ಮೂವತ್ತೇಳು ಮಂದಿ. ಅವರ ಗಾಯಕರೂ ಗಾಯಕಿಯರೂ ಇನ್ನೂರ ನಲ್ವತ್ತೈದು ಮಂದಿ.
besides their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and they had two hundred forty-five singing men and singing women.
Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five;
their camels, four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred twenty.
70 ೭೦ ಗೋತ್ರಪ್ರಧಾನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಕೆಲಸಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಧನ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ತಿರ್ಷಾತಾ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಯು ಭಂಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಸಾವಿರ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳು, ಐವತ್ತು ಬೋಗುಣಿಗಳು, ಐನೂರಮೂವತ್ತು ಯಾಜಕವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು.
Some from among the heads of fathers' households gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury one thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, and five hundred thirty cohanim' garments.
71 ೭೧ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಗೋತ್ರಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಭಂಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು - ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳು, ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷದ ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ತೊಲಾ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ;
Some of the heads of fathers' households gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand two hundred minas of silver.
72 ೭೨ ಉಳಿದ ಜನರು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಬಂಗಾರದ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳು, ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷ ತೊಲಾ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ಅರುವತ್ತೇಳು ಯಾಜಕವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.
That which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven cohanim' garments.
73 ೭೩ ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾಜಕರು, ಲೇವಿಯರು, ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರು, ಗಾಯಕರು, ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜನರು ಸೇರಿದವರು, ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಸೇವಕರು ಅಂತೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡತೊಡಗಿದರು.
So the cohanim, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel, lived in their cities. When the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their cities.
