ಮೀಕನು 6

1 ೧ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, “ನೀನೆದ್ದು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಮಾಡು. ನಿನ್ನ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿಸಲಿ

Listen now to what the LORD says: "Arise, plead your case before the mountains, and let the hills hear what you have to say.

2 ೨ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳೇ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳೇ, ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಆತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.”

Hear, you mountains, the LORD's controversy, and you enduring foundations of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with his people, and he will contend with Israel.

3 ೩ “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೇನು ಮಾಡಿದೆನು? ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾವ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆನು? ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಹೇಳು.

My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me.

4 ೪ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಪಾರುಮಾಡಿ ದಾಸತ್ವದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದೆನು. ಮೋಶೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಆರೋನನನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿರ್ಯಾಮಳನ್ನೂ ನಿನಗೆ ನಾಯಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದೆನು.

For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage. I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

5 ೫ ನನ್ನ ಜನರೇ, ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಲಹೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಯೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಧರ್ಮಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀವು ಶಿಟ್ಟೀಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಂದಿನಿಂದ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲನ್ನು ಸೇರುವ ತನಕ ನಡೆದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.

My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the LORD."

6 ೬ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯೊಡನೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ? ಯಾವುದನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಮಹೋನ್ನತ ದೇವರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳಲಿ? ಹೋಮದ ಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಥವಾ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಕರುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೋ?

How shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

7 ೭ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಟಗರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಲಕ್ಷೋಪಲಕ್ಷ ತೈಲ ಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾನೆಯೇ? ನನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನನ್ನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲೋ? ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮದ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲೋ?

Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams? With tens of thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my disobedience? The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

8 ೮ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೇ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಇಂಥದ್ದೇ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲವೇ. ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವುದು, ಕರುಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸಕ್ತನಾಗಿರುವುದು, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಮ್ರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇಷ್ಟನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೇನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು?

He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does the LORD require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

9 ೯ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಡುವುದು ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವೇ, ಎಂದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ. ಬೀಸಿ ಬರುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ದಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಿ. ಅದನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದವನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.

The LORD's voice calls to the city, and wisdom sees your name: "Listen to the rod, and he who appointed it.

10 ೧೦ ದುಷ್ಟನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ಗಳಿಸಿದ ನಿಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಹ್ಯಕರವಾದ ಕಿರಿಯಳತೆ ಇವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕುತ್ತವೆಯೋ?

Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a short ephah that is accursed?

11 ೧೧ ಕಳ್ಳ ತಕ್ಕಡಿಯೂ ಹಾಗು ಮೋಸದ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಚೀಲವೂ ಒಬ್ಬನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಲೋ?

Shall I be pure with dishonest scales, and with a bag of deceitful weights?

12 ೧೨ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಧನಿಕರು ತುಂಬಾ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಗಳು. ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರರು. ಅವರ ಬಾಯನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಮೋಸಕರ.

Her rich men are full of violence, her inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their speech.

13 ೧೩ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಕ್ರೂರವಾದ ಪೆಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕುವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವೆನು.

Therefore I also have struck you with a grievous wound. I have made you desolate because of your sins.

14 ೧೪ ನೀನು ತಿಂದರೂ ನಿನಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗದು. ಹಸಿವೆಯು ನಿನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುವುದು. ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪಾರುಮಾಡಲಾರಿ. ಪಾರುಮಾಡಿದವರನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.

You shall eat, but not be satisfied. Your humiliation will be in your midst. You will store up, but not save; and that which you save I will give up to the sword.

15 ೧೫ ನೀನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದರೂ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಣ್ಣೆಯ ಕಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜಿದರೂ ಮೈಗೆ ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತುಳಿದರೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

You will sow, but won't reap. You will tread the olives, but won't anoint yourself with oil; and crush grapes, but won't drink the wine.

16 ೧೬ ಒಮ್ರಿ ರಾಜನ ನಿಯಮಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆತನದ ಸಕಲ ಆಚಾರಗಳೂ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿವೆ. ನಿನ್ನವರು ಅವರ ದುರ್ನೀತಿಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆರಗಿಗೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಿರಿ.”

For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab; and you walk in their counsels. Therefore I will make you a desolation, and her inhabitants an object of contempt; and you will bear the scorn of the nations."
