ಪ್ರಲಾಪಗಳು 1
1 ೧ ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಜನಭರಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದ ನಗರಿಯು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಬಿಟ್ಟಳಲ್ಲಾ! ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರತ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದವಳು ವಿಧವೆಯಾದಳು, ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿರೋಮಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವಳು ಗುಲಾಮಳಾದಳು.
How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! How is she become as a widow! She that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, How is she become tributary!
2 ೨ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿಕ್ಕಿ ಅಳುತ್ತಾ ಗೋಳಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಕೆನ್ನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತೇ ಇದೆ; ಆಕೆಯ ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಸಂತೈಸರು; ಆಕೆಯ ಮಿತ್ರರೆಲ್ಲಾ ದ್ರೋಹಮಾಡಿ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
She weepeth bitterly in the night; tears are upon her cheeks; Among all her lovers she hath no comforter; All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; they have become her enemies.
3 ೩ ಯೆಹೂದವೆಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಘೋರವಾದ ಸೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರಮೆಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಲಸೆಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಮ್ಲೇಚ್ಛರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಆಕೆಯು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಆಕೆಯ ಹಿಂಸಕರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಹಿಡಿದರು.
Judah goeth into exile, because of affliction and because of great servitude; She dwelleth among the nations, she findeth no rest; All her pursuers overtake her in the straits.
4 ೪ ಯಾರೂ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಚೀಯೋನಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿಗಳು ಬಿಕೋ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿವೆ; ಅದರ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳು ಬಿದ್ದಿವೆ, ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಯಾಜಕರು ನರಳಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರು ವ್ಯಥೆಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ನಗರಿಗೆ ನಗರಿಯೇ ಶೋಕದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದೆ.
The ways to Zion mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts; All her gates are desolate, her priests sigh, Her virgins wail, and she is in bitterness.
5 ೫ ಅದರ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅದನ್ನು ವ್ಯಥೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅದರ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅದರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಅದರ ಎಳೆಕೂಸುಗಳು ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆರೆಹೋಗಿವೆ.
Her adversaries have become the head; her enemies prosper; For Jehovah hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions; Her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.
6 ೬ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ನಗರಿಯ ವೈಭವವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಳೆದುಹೋಗಿದೆ; ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರು ಮೇವಿಲ್ಲದ ಜಿಂಕೆಗಳಂತೆ ಬಲಗುಂದಿ ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಬೆನ್ನತ್ತಿದವರಿಗೆ ಬೆನ್ನುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
From the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed; Her princes are become like harts, that find no pasture; Without strength, they flee before the pursuer.
7 ೭ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪುರಿಯು ದಿಕ್ಕಾಪಾಲಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವಾಗ ಪುರಾತನಕಾಲದಿಂದ ತನಗಿದ್ದ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಗೆ ಯಾರ ಸಹಾಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಜನರು ವಿರೋಧಿಯ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದಾಗ ಹಾಳುಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ವೈರಿಗಳು ನೋಡಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿದರು.
Jerusalem remembereth, in the days of her affliction and of her oppression, All her pleasant things, which she had in the days of old, When her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and she had no helper; Her adversaries saw her, and mocked at her destruction.
8 ೮ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ಅಶುದ್ಧಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ; ಮೊದಲು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ಈಗ ಆಕೆಯ ಮಾನಭಂಗವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹೀನೈಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆಕೆಯು ಮುಖಮುಚ್ಚಿ ದುಃಖಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore is she become vile; All that honored her despise her, because they have seen her shame; She sigheth, and turneth backward.
9 ೯ ಆಕೆಯ ನೆರಿಗೆಯು ಹೊಲಸಾಗಿತ್ತು, ಮುಂದಿನ ಗತಿಯೇನೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದಕಾರಣ ವಿಪರೀತ ಹೀನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಬಿಟ್ಟಳು; ಸಂತೈಸುವವರೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. “ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸು; ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
Her filthiness is upon her skirts; She thought not of her end, therefore is she brought down wonderfully; she hath no comforter. “Behold, O Jehovah, my affliction, for the enemy doth triumph!”
10 ೧೦ ವಿರೋಧಿಯು ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಅವಳ ಭೋಗ್ಯವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು; “ಮ್ಲೇಚ್ಛರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಸೇರಬಾರದು” ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರೂ ಅಂಥವರೇ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರುವುದನ್ನು ಆಕೆಯು ಕಾಣಬೇಕಾಯಿತು.
The adversary spreadeth his hands over all her pleasant things; Yea, she seeth the nations enter into her sanctuary, Concerning whom thou didst command that they should not enter into her congregation.
11 ೧೧ ಆಕೆಯ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲಾ ನರಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಅವರು ಅನ್ನವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಗತಿ ಬಂತು, ಪ್ರಾಣಾಧಾರವಾದ ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೋಡು, ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸು, ನಾನು ತುಚ್ಛಳಾದೆನಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
All her people sigh; they seek bread; They give their precious things for bread to sustain life. “Behold, O Jehovah, and consider, how I am become vile!”
12 ೧೨ ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಚಿಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ? ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅತಿ ರೋಷಗೊಂಡು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿ ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ವ್ಯಥೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ನೋಡಿ ಇಂಥಾ ವ್ಯಥೆಯು ಇನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಉಂಟೋ ಯೋಚಿಸಿರಿ.
“Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Behold, and see, if there be any sorrow like to my sorrow, which is brought upon me, With which Jehovah hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger!
13 ೧೩ ಆತನು ಮೇಲಣ ಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನೆಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲೆಯೊಡ್ಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ನಾನು ಹಾಳುಬಿದ್ದು ಸದಾ ಬಳಲುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
“From on high hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevailed against them: He hath spread a net for my feet; he hath turned me back; He hath made me desolate, faint all the day long.
14 ೧೪ ಆತನ ಕೈ, ನನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೊಗವು ಇರುವಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿದಿದೆ. ಆ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳು ಹುರಿಗೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ; ನನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಕುಂದಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಎದುರಿಸಲಾರದವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
“The yoke of my transgressions is fastened in his hand; they are twisted together; They are laid upon my neck; he hath made my strength to fall; The Lord hath delivered me into their hands, against whom I cannot stand.
15 ೧೫ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಶೂರರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಹೊರಳಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನನ್ನ ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಸದೆಬಡಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಕೇಡಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕರ್ತನು ಯೆಹೂದವೆಂಬ ಕನ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಹಾಗೆ ತುಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
“The Lord hath trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me; He hath called an assembly against me to crush my young men; The Lord hath trodden down the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a wine-vat.
16 ೧೬ ಈ ವಿಪತ್ತುಗಳಿಂದ ಗೋಳಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಿ ದಣಿವಾರಿಸತಕ್ಕವನು ದೂರವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಧಾರೆಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಸುರಿಯುವುದು. ಶತ್ರುವು ಗೆದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಾಳಾದರು.
“For these things do I weep; mine eye runneth down with water; For far from me are they that should comfort me, that should restore my strength; My children have perished, because the enemy prevailed.”
17 ೧೭ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ನಗರಿಯು ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಅಂಗಲಾಚಿದರೂ ಯಾರೂ ಸಂತೈಸರು; ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಅವರ ನಡುವೆ ಹೊಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ.
Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her; Jehovah hath given command against Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him; Jerusalem is become an abhorrence among them.
18 ೧೮ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೀತಿಸ್ವರೂಪನು, ನಾನಾದರೋ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದ ದ್ರೋಹಿ; ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೇ, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ, ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಥೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಯುವಕರು ಸೆರೆಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರಲ್ಲಾ!
“Righteous is Jehovah, for I have disobeyed his commandment; Hear, I pray you, all ye nations, and behold my sorrow! My virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.
19 ೧೯ ನಾನು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ನನ್ನ ನಲ್ಲರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಮೋಸವಾಯಿತು, ನನ್ನ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರೂ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವುದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
“I called upon my lovers, but they have proved false to me; My priests and my elders have expired in the city, While they sought for food to sustain their lives.
20 ೨೦ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸು; ನಾನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ಕರುಳು ಕುದಿಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನಾನು ಕೇವಲ ದ್ರೋಹಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗಿದೆ; ಮನೆಯ ಹೊರಗೆ ಸಂಹಾರ, ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಸಂಕಟ.
“Behold, O Jehovah, how I am distressed! my bowels boil, My heart turneth itself within me; for I have grievously rebelled. Abroad the sword bereaveth; at home, Death.
21 ೨೧ ಯಾರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸರು; ನನ್ನ ನರಳಾಟದ ಸುದ್ದಿಯು ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನಗಾದ ಕೇಡಿನ ಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದವನು ನೀನೇ ಎಂದು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನೀನು ಮುಂತಿಳಿಸಿದ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವಾಗ ನನಗಾದ ಗತಿಯು ಅವರಿಗೂ ಆಗಲಿ!
“They hear how I sigh, yet none comforteth me; mine enemies have heard of my calamity; they rejoice that thou hast done it. O bring the day which thou hast appointed, that they shall be like me!
22 ೨೨ ಅವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಕೆಡುಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಲಿ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಮಾಡು; ನನ್ನ ನರಳಾಟವು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಎದೆಯು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗಿದೆ.
“Let all their wickedness come before thee, deal thou with them as thou hast dealt with me for all my transgressions! For my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.”
