ಯೋಬನು 29

1 ೧ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೋಬನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಇಂತೆಂದನು,

And Job adds to lift up his allegory and says:

2 ೨ “ಅಯ್ಯೋ ನಾನು ಹಿಂದಿನ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಂತೆ ಈಗಲೂ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿತ್ತು! ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನಲ್ಲಾ!

“Who makes me as [in] months past, As [in] the days of God’s preserving me?

3 ೩ ಆತನ ದೀಪವು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು, ಆತನ ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.

In His causing His lamp to shine on my head, By His light I walk [through] darkness.

4 ೪ ಆ ದಿನಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದ ಸುಗ್ಗೀಕಾಲವು, ದೇವರ ಸ್ನೇಹವು ನನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು.

As I have been in days of my maturity, And the counsel of God on my tent.

5 ೫ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದನು, ನನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದರು.

When yet the Mighty One [is] with me. Around me—my young ones,

6 ೬ ಹಾಲು ತುಪ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ, ಬಂಡೆಯು ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಎಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾಹವಾಗಿ ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

When washing my goings with butter, And the firm rock [is] with me—streams of oil.

7 ೭ ಊರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಚಾವಡಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗಲೂ, ಚೌಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸನವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗಲೂ

When I go out to the gate by the city, In a broad place I prepare my seat.

8 ೮ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿದು ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು, ವೃದ್ಧರು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತರು.

Youths have seen me, and they have been hidden, And the aged have risen—they stood up.

9 ೯ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳು ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ಬಾಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರು.

Princes have kept in words, And they place a hand on their mouth.

10 ೧೦ ಮುಖಂಡರ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಸೇದಿಹೋಗಿ ಧ್ವನಿಯಡಗಿತು.

The voice of leaders has been hidden, And their tongue has cleaved to the palate.

11 ೧೧ ಕೇಳಿದ ಕಿವಿಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹರಸಿತು, ನೋಡಿದ ಕಣ್ಣು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.

For the ear heard, and declares me blessed, And the eye has seen, and testifies [to] me.

12 ೧೨ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅಂಗಲಾಚುವ ಬಡವನನ್ನೂ, ಸಹಾಯಕನಿಲ್ಲದ ಅನಾಥನನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು.

For I deliver the afflicted who is crying, And the fatherless who has no helper.

13 ೧೩ ಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹರಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು, ವಿಧವೆಯ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.

The blessing of the perishing comes on me, And I cause the heart of the widow to sing.

14 ೧೪ ನಾನು ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು, ಧರ್ಮವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿತು. ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವೇ ನನಗೆ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯೂ, ಕಿರೀಟವೂ ಆಗಿತ್ತು.

I have put on righteousness, and it clothes me, My justice as a robe and a crown.

15 ೧೫ ನಾನು ಕುರುಡನಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕುಂಟನಿಗೆ ಕಾಲಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದೆನು.

I have been eyes to the blind, And I [am] feet to the lame.

16 ೧೬ ದರಿದ್ರರಿಗೆ ತಂದೆಯಾಗಿ, ಪರಿಚಯವಿಲ್ಲದವನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.

I [am] a father to the needy, And the cause I have not known I search out.

17 ೧೭ ಅನ್ಯಾಯಗಾರನ ಕೋರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು, ಅವನ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಬೇಟೆಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತು ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.

And I break the jaw-teeth of the perverse, And from his teeth I cast away prey.

18 ೧೮ ಆಗ ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನನ್ನ ಗೂಡಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾನು ಸಾಯುವೆನು, ನನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳು ಮರಳಿನಂತೆ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವವು.

And I say, I expire with my nest, And I multiply days as the sand.

19 ೧೯ ನನ್ನ ಬೇರುಗಳು ನೀರಿನವರೆಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವು, ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯು ನನ್ನ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದು.

My root is open to the waters, And dew lodges on my branch.

20 ೨೦ ನನ್ನ ಮಾನವು ಹೊಸದಾಗುತ್ತಲೂ, ನನ್ನ ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಲೂ ಇರುವವು’ ಎಂಬುದೇ.

My glory [is] fresh with me, And my bow is renewed in my hand.

21 ೨೧ ಜನರು ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

They have listened to me, Indeed, they wait, and are silent for my counsel.

22 ೨೨ ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ವಚನವೃಷ್ಟಿಯು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು,

After my word they do not change, And my speech drops on them,

23 ೨೩ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ, ಮುಂಗಾರಿಗೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಬಾಯ್ದೆರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

And they wait for me as [for] rain, And they have opened wide their mouth [As] for the spring rain.

24 ೨೪ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನಗಲು ಅವರು ಧೈರ್ಯಗೆಟ್ಟರು, ನನ್ನ ಮುಖಕಾಂತಿಯನ್ನೋ ಅವರು ಎಂದೂ ಕುಂದಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

I laugh at them—they give no credence, And do not cause the light of my face to fall.

25 ೨೫ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟು, ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವ ರಾಜನಂತೆಯೂ, ದುಃಖಿತರನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವ ಮುಖಂಡನಾಗಿ ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು.”

I choose their way, and sit [as] head, And I dwell as a king in a troop, When he comforts mourners.”
