ಯೋಬನು 21

1 ೧ ಆಗ ಯೋಬನು ಇಂತೆಂದನು,

BUT Job answered and said,

2 ೨ “ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ನನಗಾಗಬೇಕಾದ ಆದರಣೆಯು ಇಷ್ಟೇ.

Hear diligently my speech, and let this be your consolations.

3 ೩ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯಿಂದಿರಿ, ನಾನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುವೆನು, ಆಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.

Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.

4 ೪ ನಾನೇನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿರುವೆನೆ? ನಾನೇಕೆ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು?

As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?

5 ೫ ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟು ಬೆರಗಾಗಿ,

Mark me, and be astonished, and lay your hand upon your mouth.

6 ೬ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗೆಲ್ಲಾ, ನಡುಕವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ.

Even when I remember I am afraid, and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.

7 ೭ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಬಾಳಿ ವೃದ್ಧರಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಬಲಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಕಾರಣವೇನು?

Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?

8 ೮ ಅವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಅವರೊಂದಿಗಿರುತ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವರು, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಚಲವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು.

Their seed is established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes.

9 ೯ ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಭಯದಿಂದ ಇರುವವು; ದೇವರ ದಂಡವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳದು.

Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.

10 ೧೦ ಅವರ ಗೂಳಿಯು ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವರ ಹಸುವು ಕಂದುಹಾಕದೆ ಈಯುವುದು.

Their bull gendereth, and faileth not; their cow calveth, and casteth not her calf.

11 ೧೧ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮಂದೆಮಂದೆಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸುವರು, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕುಣಿದಾಡುವರು.

They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance.

12 ೧೨ ಅವರು ದಮ್ಮಡಿ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಗಳೊಡನೆ ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ, ಕೊಳಲಿನ ಧ್ವನಿಗೆ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಪಡುವರು.

They take the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the organ.

13 ೧೩ ಹೀಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ಕಳೆದು, ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವರು. (Sheol h7585)

They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. (Sheol h7585)

14 ೧೪ ಆದರೆ ಇವರೇ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, ‘ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿ ಹೋಗು, ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯೇ ನಮಗೆ ಬೇಡ ಎಂದೂ

Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

15 ೧೫ ಆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಎಷ್ಟರವನು, ಆತನನ್ನು ನಾವು ಏಕೆ ಸೇವಿಸಬೇಕು? ಆತನಿಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವೇನು?’ ಎಂದೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?

16 ೧೬ ಆಹಾ, ಅವರ ಸುಖವು ಅವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲಸಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ನನಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ!

Lo, their good is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

17 ೧೭ ದುಷ್ಟರ ದೀಪವು ಆರಿಹೋದದ್ದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ? ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ ಉಪದ್ರವವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ? ದೇವರು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಸಂಕಟಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ?

How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger.

18 ೧೮ ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆ ಆದದ್ದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ? ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾರಿ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಂತಿದ್ದರು?

They are as stubble before the wind, and as chaff that the storm carrieth away.

19 ೧೯ ‘ದೇವರು ದುಷ್ಟನ ಪಾಪ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ’ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತೀರೋ, ಆ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಲಿ.

God layeth up his iniquity for his children: he rewardeth him, and he shall know it.

20 ೨೦ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ನಾಶವನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಾಣಲಿ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರ ರೌದ್ರರಸವನ್ನು ಪಾನಮಾಡಲಿ.

His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

21 ೨೧ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕವಾದ ದಿನಗಳು ಮುಗಿದುಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವ ಸಂತತಿಯವರ ಚಿಂತೆ ಏನು?

For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off in the midst?

22 ೨೨ ಮೇಲಣ ಲೋಕದವರಿಗೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವ ದೇವರಿಗೂ ಜ್ಞಾನಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಹುದೇ?

Shall any teach God knowledge? seeing he judgeth those that are high.

23 ೨೩ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿ, ತುಂಬಾ ಸುಖದಿಂದಲೂ, ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಇರುವಾಗ ಸಾಯುವನು.

One dieth in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.

24 ೨೪ ಅವನ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಲು ತುಂಬಿರುವುದು, ಅವನ ಎಲಬುಗಳು ಮಜ್ಜೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.

His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow.

25 ೨೫ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೂ ಸುಖಾನುಭವವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಸಾಯುವನು.

And another dieth in the bitterness of his soul, and never eateth with pleasure.

26 ೨೬ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗುವರು, ಹುಳುಗಳು ಅವರನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು.

They shall lie down alike in the dust, and the worms shall cover them.

27 ೨೭ ಆಹಾ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

Behold, I know your thoughts, and the devices which ye wrongfully imagine against me.

28 ೨೮ ‘ಪ್ರಧಾನನ ಮನೆ ಏನಾಯಿತು? ದುಷ್ಟರು ವಾಸಿಸಿದ ಗುಡಾರವೆಲ್ಲಿ?’ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತೀರಷ್ಟೆ.

For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? and where are the dwelling places of the wicked?

29 ೨೯ ನೀವು ಮಾರ್ಗಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಅವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದೃಷ್ಟಾಂತಗಳಿಂದ,

Have ye not asked them that go by the way? and do ye not know their tokens,

30 ೩೦ ಆಪತ್ತಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಉಳಿದು, ಕೋಪವು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು ಎಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

31 ೩೧ ನೀನು ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಿ ಎಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ ಯಾರು ತಾನೇ ಹೇಳುವರು? ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು?

Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?

32 ೩೨ ಅವನನ್ನು ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವರು; ಅವನ ಗೋರಿಗೆ ಕಾವಲಿಡುವರು.

Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.

33 ೩೩ ಆ ಕಣಿವೆಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಹೆಂಟೆಗಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿತವಾಗಿರುವವು. ಅವನಿಗಿಂತ ಹಿಂದೆ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದರು, ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಸಮಸ್ತರೂ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವರು.

The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.

34 ೩೪ ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಆದರಣೆಯು ಎಷ್ಟು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿದೆ! ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉತ್ತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿರುವುದು ಮಿತ್ರ ದ್ರೋಹವೇ.”

How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?
