ಯೋಬನು 20

1 ೧ ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಮಾಥ್ಯನಾದ ಚೋಫರನು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 ೨ “ನನ್ನ ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಯು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಆತುರವು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿದೆ.

Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for [this] I make haste.

3 ೩ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಅಪಮಾನಕರವಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಖಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಕಲಿತ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.

4 ೪ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ ಪುರಾತನಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ,

Knowest thou [not] this of old, since man was placed upon earth,

5 ೫ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಅಲ್ಪಕಾಲದ್ದು, ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸವು ಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾದದ್ದು ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

That the triumphing of the wicked [is] short, and the joy of the hypocrite [but] for a moment?

6 ೬ ಅವನ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಯು ಆಕಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿದರೂ, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯು ಮೋಡಗಳಿಗೆ ತಗುಲಿದರೂ,

Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;

7 ೭ ತನ್ನ ಮಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿತ್ಯನಾಶನವನ್ನೂ ಹೊಂದುವನು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡವರು ಕೂಡ ‘ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?’ ಎನ್ನುವರು.

[Yet] he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where [is] he?

8 ೮ ಅವನು ಸ್ವಪ್ನದಂತೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಕನಸಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವನು.

He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

9 ೯ ಕಂಡವನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕಾಣಿಸನು, ಅವನ ನಿವಾಸವು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ನೋಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

The eye also [which] saw him shall [see him] no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

10 ೧೦ ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದರಿದ್ರರ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬೇಡುವರು. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೇ ತನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.

His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.

11 ೧೧ ಯೌವನವು ಅವನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವಾಗಲೇ, ಅದು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗುವುದು.

His bones are full [of the sin] of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

12 ೧೨ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ಅವನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿಯಾಗಿರಲು, ಅವನು ನಾಲಿಗೆಯ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿ,

Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, [though] he hide it under his tongue;

13 ೧೩ ನುಂಗದೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ

[Though] he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

14 ೧೪ ತಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಪದಾರ್ಥವು ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಅವನೊಳಗೆ ಹಾವಿನ ವಿಷವಾಗುವುದು.

[Yet] his meat in his bowels is turned, [it is] the gall of asps within him.

15 ೧೫ ನುಂಗಿದ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನು ಕಾರುವನು, ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಕಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವನು.

He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

16 ೧೬ ಅವನು ಚೀಪುವುದು ಹಾವಿನ ವಿಷವೇ, ಸರ್ಪದ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದು.

He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.

17 ೧೭ ಜೇನೂ, ಮೊಸರೂ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುವ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ನೋಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

18 ೧೮ ಅವನು ದುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸದೆ ಪರರ ಪಾಲು ಮಾಡುವನು, ಅವನ ಲಾಭದಿಂದಾಗತಕ್ಕ ಆನಂದವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow [it] down: according to [his] substance [shall] the restitution [be], and he shall not rejoice [therein].

19 ೧೯ ಅವನು ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಜಜ್ಜಿ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ; ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು.

Because he hath oppressed [and] hath forsaken the poor; [because] he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;

20 ೨೦ ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಿಲ್ಲವಾದ ಕಾರಣ, ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟ ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.

21 ೨೧ ಏನೂ ಉಳಿಯದಂತೆ ಅವನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದರಿಂದ; ಅವನ ಸುಖವು ಅಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.

There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.

22 ೨೨ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯು ತುಂಬಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾಗುವುದು. ಶ್ರಮೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಕೈ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವುದು.

In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.

23 ೨೩ ಅವನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬುವುದು, ಹೌದು, ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪಾಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ; ಅದನ್ನೇ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿಸುವನು.

[When] he is about to fill his belly, [God] shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain [it] upon him while he is eating.

24 ೨೪ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಆಯುಧದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವನು, ತಾಮ್ರದ ಬಿಲ್ಲು ಅವನನ್ನು ಇರಿಯುವುದು.

He shall flee from the iron weapon, [and] the bow of steel shall strike him through.

25 ೨೫ ಅವನು ಬಾಣವನ್ನು ಕೀಳಲು ಅದು ಬೆನ್ನಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಬರುವುದು, ಥಳಥಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವನ ಪಿತ್ತಕೋಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು, ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತಿಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವು.

It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors [are] upon him.

26 ೨೬ ಅವನ ನಿಧಿನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಾಂಧಕಾರವು ಕಾದಿರುವುದು, ಯಾರೂ ಹೊತ್ತಿಸದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಹಾಕಿ, ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ಮೇದು ಬಿಡುವುದು.

All darkness [shall be] hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.

27 ೨೭ ಆಕಾಶವು ಅವನ ಪಾಪವನ್ನು ಬಯಲುಪಡಿಸುವುದು. ಭೂಮಿಯು ಅವನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಏಳುವುದು.

The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.

28 ೨೮ ದೇವರ ಸಿಟ್ಟಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯ ಧನಧಾನ್ಯಗಳು, ಪ್ರವಾಹದಿಂದ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗುವವು.

The increase of his house shall depart, [and his goods] shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

29 ೨೯ ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ದೇವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆಯುವ ಪಾಲೂ, ದೇವರು ನೇಮಿಸಿರುವ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವೂ ಇವೇ.”

This [is] the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
