ಯೋಬನು 18

1 ೧ ಆಗ ಶೂಹ್ಯನಾದ ಬಿಲ್ದದನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2 ೨ “ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುವೆ? ಮೊದಲು ನೀನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸು, ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾತನಾಡೋಣ.

How long [will it be ere] ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

3 ೩ ಏಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೃಗಗಳೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿದ್ದೀ? ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ದಡ್ಡರೋ?

Why are we counted as beasts, [and] reputed vile in your sight?

4 ೪ ಸಿಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೇ, ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಲೋಕವೇ ಹಾಳಾಗಬೇಕೋ, ಬಂಡೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಜರುಗಬೇಕೋ?

He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?

5 ೫ ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ದುಷ್ಟನ ದೀಪವು ಆರುವುದು, ಅವನ ಒಲೆಯು ಉರಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

6 ೬ ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವುದು, ಅವನ ಮೇಲಣ ತೂಗು ದೀವಿಗೆಯು ನಂದಿಹೋಗುವುದು.

The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.

7 ೭ ಅವನ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾಗುವುದು, ಅವನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕುವುದು.

The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

8 ೮ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಬಲೆಗೆ ಬೀಳುವನು, ಹಾಳು ಗುಂಡಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುವನು.

For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

9 ೯ ಬಲೆ ಅವನ ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಕಚ್ಚುವುದು, ಉರುಲು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು.

The gin shall take [him] by the heel, [and] the robber shall prevail against him.

10 ೧೦ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಶವೂ, ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಲವೂ ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವು.

The snare [is] laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

11 ೧೧ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಪಾಯಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೆದರಿಸಿ; ಅವನ ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿ ತುಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಬೆನ್ನು ಹತ್ತುವವು.

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

12 ೧೨ ಅವನ ಬಲವು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗುವುದು. ಅವನು ಎಡವಿ ಬಿದ್ದಾನೇ ಎಂದು ವಿಪತ್ತು ಕಾದಿರುವುದು.

His strength shall be hunger-bitten, and destruction [shall be] ready at his side.

13 ೧೩ ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗನು ಅವನ ಚರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ತಿಂದು, ಅವನ ಅಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವನು.

It shall devour the strength of his skin: [even] the first-born of death shall devour his strength.

14 ೧೪ ಅವನ ನಿರ್ಭಯದ ಗುಡಾರದಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಳೆದು, ಮಹಾಭೀತಿಗಳ ರಾಜನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು.

His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

15 ೧೫ ಅವನ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರಲ್ಲದವರು ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವರು, ಅವನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಧಕವು ಎರಚಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.

It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because [it is] none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

16 ೧೬ ಅವನ ವಂಶವೃಕ್ಷದ ಬೇರುಗಳು ಒಣಗುವುದು, ಅದರ ರೆಂಬೆಯು ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಡುವುದು.

His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

17 ೧೭ ಅವನ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವುದು, ಅವನ ಹೆಸರು ಹೊರಗಣ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

18 ೧೮ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ನೂಕಿ, ಲೋಕದಿಂದಲೇ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಡುವರು.

He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

19 ೧೯ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗನಾಗಲಿ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನಾಗಲಿ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

20 ೨೦ ಪಡುವಣದವರು ಅವನ ನಾಶದ ದಿನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹೆದರುವರು, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೂಡಣದವರು ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತರಾಗುವರು.

They that come after [him] shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.

21 ೨೧ ಕೆಡುಕರ ನಿವಾಸಗಳ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಇಂಥದೇ. ದೇವರನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸದವನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.”

Surely such [are] the dwellings of the wicked, and this [is] the place [of him that] knoweth not God.
