ಯೋಬನು 12

1 ೧ ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೋಬನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು,

And Job answered and said,

2 ೨ “ಹೌದು, ನೀವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು; ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆಯೇ ಸಾಯುವುದು, ನಿಜ.

Truly ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you!

3 ೩ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಂಟು, ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ನಾನು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲ. ಇಂಥವು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.

I also have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you; and who knoweth not such things as these?

4 ೪ ನಾನು ಗೆಳೆಯನ ಗೇಲಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ! ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ಆತನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿದನಲ್ಲಾ, ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ, ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೂ ಆದವನು ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಪದನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

I am to be one that is a derision to his friend, I who call upon God, and whom he will answer: a derision is the just upright [man].

5 ೫ ಆಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರು ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂಬುದು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದಿರುವವನ ಯೋಚನೆ; ಜಾರಿ ಬಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಅಪಮಾನವು ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

He that is ready to stumble with the foot is a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.

6 ೬ ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಾದರೋ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವವು, ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೇ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವವರು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವರು.

The tents of desolators are in peace, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth.

7 ೭ ಆದರೆ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸು, ನಿನಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುವವು; ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವವು;

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowl of the heavens, and they shall tell thee;

8 ೮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸು, ನಿನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದು; ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೀನುಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವವು.

Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.

9 ೯ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯೇ ಸಕಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ?

Who knoweth not in all these, that the hand of Jehovah hath wrought this?

10 ೧೦ ಪ್ರತಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಣವು, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಆತ್ಮಗಳೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವು.

In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all flesh of man.

11 ೧೧ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ರುಚಿ ನೋಡುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕಿವಿಯು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ.

Doth not the ear try words, as the palate tasteth food?

12 ೧೨ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ವೃದ್ಧರಲ್ಲೇ ಅಡಗಿದೆಯೋ? ದಿರ್ಘಾಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕವಿದೆ.

With the aged is wisdom, and in length of days understanding.

13 ೧೩ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಉಂಟು, ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೂ, ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಆತನವೇ.

With him is wisdom and might; he hath counsel and understanding.

14 ೧೪ ಇಗೋ, ಯಾರೂ ಕಟ್ಟದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವನು, ಯಾರೂ ಬಿಡಿಸದಂತೆ ಸೆರೆಹಾಕುವನು.

Behold, he breaketh down, and it is not built again; he shutteth up a man, and there is no opening.

15 ೧೫ ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಆತನು ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆದರೆ ಅವು ಬತ್ತಿಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ; ಆತನು ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ, ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.

Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; and he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.

16 ೧೬ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವೂ, ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವೂ ಉಂಟು; ತಪ್ಪಿದವನೂ, ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದವನೂ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿರುವರು.

With him is strength and effectual knowledge; the deceived and the deceiver are his.

17 ೧೭ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಲಿಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವನು.

He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and judges maketh he fools;

18 ೧೮ ಅರಸರು ಹಾಕಿದ ಬಂಧನವನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಸೊಂಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯುವನು.

He weakeneth the government of kings, and bindeth their loins with a fetter;

19 ೧೯ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಸುಲಿಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು, ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನು ದೊಬ್ಬಿಬಿಡುವನು.

He leadeth priests away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty;

20 ೨೦ ಆಲೋಚನಾಕರ್ತರ ವಾಕ್ಚಾತುರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಹಿರಿಯರ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವನು.

He depriveth of speech the trusty, and taketh away the judgment of the elders;

21 ೨೧ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಸಡಿಲಿಸುವನು.

He poureth contempt upon nobles, and slackeneth the girdle of the mighty;

22 ೨೨ ಅಗಾಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.

He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out into light the shadow of death;

23 ೨೩ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವನು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ ಗಡೀಪಾರುಮಾಡುವನು.

He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them; he spreadeth out the nations, and bringeth them in;

24 ೨೪ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿಸುವನು.

He taketh away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste.

25 ೨೫ ಅವರು ಬೆಳಕಿಲ್ಲದ ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ತಡಕಾಡುವರು; ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಮಲೇರಿದವರಂತೆ ಓಲಾಡಿಸಿ ತಡವರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು.”

They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunkard.
