ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 1
The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin.
2 ೨ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ, ಆಮೋನನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ಈ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದನು.
The LORD’s word came to him in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
3 ೩ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ, ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ, ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹನ್ನೊಂದನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದ ಐದನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರು ಸೆರೆಹೋಗುವ ತನಕ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು.
It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
Now the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
5 ೫ “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೆನು; ನೀನು ಉದರದಿಂದ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿದ್ದೆನು. ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂಬ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು.
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I don’t know how to speak; for I am a child.”
7 ೭ ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ, “ಬಾಲಕನು ಎನ್ನಬೇಡ; ನಾನು ಯಾರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೋ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವಿ; ನಾನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ನುಡಿಯುವಿ.
But the LORD said to me, “Don’t say, ‘I am a child;’ for you must go to whomever I send you, and you must say whatever I command you.
8 ೮ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಂಜಬೇಡ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸಲು ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವೆನು, ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Don’t be afraid because of them, for I am with you to rescue you,” says the LORD.
Then the LORD stretched out his hand and touched my mouth. Then the LORD said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
10 ೧೦ ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಮುರಿದುಹಾಕುವುದು, ನಾಶಮಾಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ನೆಲಸಮಮಾಡುವುದು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ, ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಈ ದಿನ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ” ಅಂದನು.
Behold, I have today set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to uproot and to tear down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
11 ೧೧ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, “ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನೇ, ಏನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆ?” ಎಂಬ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತು ನನಗೆ ಕೇಳಿ ಬಂತು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು, “ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಮರದ ಕೊಂಬೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಅಂದೆನು.
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”
12 ೧೨ ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ, “ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ದಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡಿರುವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೋ” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”
13 ೧೩ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಬಾರಿ, “ನೀನು ಏನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆ?” ಎಂಬ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು, “ಉರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಉಕ್ಕುವ ಹಂಡೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ಈ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಾಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ” ಅಂದೆನು.
The LORD’s word came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” I said, “I see a boiling cauldron; and it is tipping away from the north.”
Then the LORD said to me, “Out of the north, evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.
15 ೧೫ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರೆಯುವೆನು; ಅವರು ಬಂದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಊರ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಅದರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪೌಳಿಗೋಡೆಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಸಕಲ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಸನಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
For behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says the LORD. “They will come, and they will each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 ೧೬ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಮಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದ ಅಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿರುವ ನ್ಯಾಯದಂಡನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವೆನು.
I will utter my judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.
17 ೧೭ ಹೀಗಿರಲು ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ನಡುಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ನಾನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು. ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ; ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೆದರಿಸುವೆನು.
“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.
18 ೧೮ ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರು, ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು, ಯಾಜಕರು, ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜನರು, ಅಂತು ದೇಶದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಎದುರಿಸತಕ್ಕ ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕಂಬವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ತಾಮ್ರದ ಪೌಳಿಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
For behold, I have made you today a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.
19 ೧೯ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವರು, ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನುದ್ಧರಿಸಲು ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವೆನು, ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says the LORD, “to rescue you.”
