ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು 25
1 ೧ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಂದರೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ,
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah (that is, the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon),
2 ೨ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ತನಗೆ ಉಂಟಾದ ಈ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಕಲ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರಿಗೂ ಸಾರಿದನು.
which Jeremiah the prophet spoke unto all the people of Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:
3 ೩ ಆತನು, “ಆಮೋನನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹದಿಮೂರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಈ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ, ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, the king of Judah, even unto this day, these three and twenty years, the word of Jehovah hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
4 ೪ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ನೀವು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
And Jehovah hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear,
5 ೫ ಆತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತೇನೆಂದರೆ, ‘ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದಲೂ ಮತ್ತು ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿರಿ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಪುರಾತನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೂ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ನೆಲೆಗೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
when they said, Turn again now every one from his evil way, and from the wickedness of your doings, and dwell in the land that Jehovah hath given unto you and to your fathers from of old even for ever.
6 ೬ ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ, ಸೇವಿಸಿ ಪೂಜಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾವ ಕೇಡನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂಬುದೇ.
And go not after other gods, to serve them and to worship them; and provoke me not to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
7 ೭ ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೆಣಕಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ನೀವೇ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
But ye have not hearkened unto me, saith Jehovah; that ye might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands, to your own hurt.
Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Because ye have not listened to my words,
9 ೯ ನಾನು ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ, ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನೂ ಆದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಈ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೂ, ಇದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೂ ಬೀಳಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತುಂಬಾ ಹಾಳುಗೈದು, ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ, ನಿತ್ಯನಾಶನಕ್ಕೂ ಈಡುಮಾಡುವೆನು.
behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith Jehovah, and [I will send] to Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual wastes.
10 ೧೦ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರ್ಷಸಂಭ್ರಮಗಳ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನೂ, ವಧೂವರರ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನೂ, ಬೀಸುವ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನೂ, ದೀಪದ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು.
And I will cause to perish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.
11 ೧೧ ಈ ದೇಶವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಬೆರಗಿಗೆ ಈಡಾಗುವುದು; ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಅಡಿಯಾಳಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವವು.
And this whole land shall become a waste, an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 ೧೨ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ, ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ, ಆ ಜನಾಂಗದವರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ದ್ರೋಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸಿ, ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯನಾಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ.
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, [that] I will visit on the king of Babylon and on that nation, saith Jehovah, their iniquity, and on the land of the Chaldeans, and I will make it perpetual desolations.
13 ೧೩ ನಾನು ಆ ದೇಶದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದರೆ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಈ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವೆನು.
And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
14 ೧೪ ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾರಾಜರೂ ಅವರನ್ನೇ ಅಡಿಯಾಳಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಅವರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೂ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂಬುದೇ.
For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.
15 ೧೫ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ, “ರೋಷರೂಪ ಮದ್ಯದ ಈ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯಾವ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೋ ಆ ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು.
For thus hath Jehovah the God of Israel said unto me: Take the cup of the wine of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations to whom I send thee to drink it.
16 ೧೬ ನಾನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಆ ನನ್ನ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ಅವರು ಕುಡಿದು ಓಲಾಡುವರು, ಹುಚ್ಚುಚ್ಚಾಗುವರು” ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17 ೧೭ ಆಗ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯಾವ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನೋ, ಆ ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
And I took the cup at Jehovah's hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Jehovah had sent me:
18 ೧೮ ಅದನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ, ಅರಸರಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೂ ಕುಡಿಸಿದೆನು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೂ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸ್ಪದವಾಯಿತು.
Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a waste, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
20 ೨೦ ಬಗೆಬಗೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದೇಶೀಯರು, ಊಚ್ ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸರು, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯ ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸರು, ಅಷ್ಕೆಲೋನ್, ಗಾಜಾ, ಎಕ್ರೋನ್, ಹಾಳಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಅಷ್ಡೋದ್,
and all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gazah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;
and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Zidon, and the kings of the isles that are beyond the sea;
Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that have the corners [of their beard] cut off;
and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the desert;
and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
26 ೨೬ ದೂರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮೀಪವಿರುವ ಉತ್ತರದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸರು, ಭೂಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಕಲರಾಜ್ಯಗಳವರು ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಕುಡಿಸು; ಇವರು ಕುಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಶೇಷಕಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ಕುಡಿಯಲಿ ಎಂಬುದೇ ನನಗಾದ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ.
and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth; and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27 ೨೭ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನನಗೆ ಈ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಯಿತು, ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನುಡಿಯತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರೂ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು; ಆ ನನ್ನ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದು ಅಮಲೇರಿದವರಾಗಿ ಕಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಏಳದಿರಿ.”
And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink, and be drunken, and vomit, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword that I will send among you.
28 ೨೮ ಅವರು ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಕ್ಕೂ, ಕುಡಿಯಲಿಕ್ಕೂ ಕೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು, “ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನೀವು ಕುಡಿಯಲೇ ಬೇಕು.
And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup from thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Ye shall certainly drink.
29 ೨೯ ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಧಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನೀವು ಆ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೀರೋ? ಆಗುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಖಡ್ಗವೇ, ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಸಂಹರಿಸಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾ” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುವೆನು. ಇದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನನ್ನ ನುಡಿ.
For behold, I begin to bring evil on the city that is called by my name, and should ye be altogether unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts.
30 ೩೦ ಇಂತಿರಲು ನೀನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು, “ಯೆಹೋವನು ಉನ್ನತಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಗರ್ಜಿಸುವನು, ತನ್ನ ಘನನಿವಾಸದಿಂದ ಧ್ವನಿಗೈಯುವನು. ಆತನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಗರ್ಜಿಸಿ, ತನ್ನ ಹುಲ್ಗಾವಲಿನ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆದರಿಸುವನು. ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಹಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯುವವರು ಕೂಗಾಡುವಂತೆ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಭಯಂಕರನಾಗಿ ಕೂಗುವನು.
And thou, prophesy unto them all these words, and say unto them, Jehovah will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar upon his dwelling-place, he will give a shout, as they that tread [the vintage], against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 ೩೧ ಆ ಶಬ್ದವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸುವುದು, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೂ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವುಂಟಷ್ಟೆ, ಅವನು ನರಜನ್ಮದವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಂಗಡ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವನು, ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವನು” ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ.
The noise shall come to the end of the earth: for Jehovah hath a controversy with the nations, he entereth into judgment with all flesh; as for the wicked, he will give them up to the sword, saith Jehovah.
32 ೩೨ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ಆಹಾ, ಕೇಡು ಜನಾಂಗದಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹರಡುವುದು; ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಲೋಕದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಎದ್ದು ಬರುವುದು.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
33 ೩೩ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ಹತರಾದವರು ಲೋಕದ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವರು; ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಾರೂ ಗೋಳಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರು ಹೂಣಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೊಬ್ಬರವಾಗುವರು.
And the slain of Jehovah shall [be] at that day from [one] end of the earth even unto the [other] end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground.
34 ೩೪ ಕುರುಬರೇ, ಅರಚಿ ಗೋಳಾಡಿರಿ! ಮಂದೆಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಯಕರೇ, ಬೂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೊರಳಾಡಿರಿ! ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಧಿಸುವ ಕಾಲವು ಬಂದಿದೆ; ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸುವೆನು; ನೀವು ಬಿದ್ದು ಒಡೆದುಹೋದ ಅಂದವಾದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಂತೆ ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗುವಿರಿ.
Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves [in the dust], noble ones of the flock: for the days of your slaughter are accomplished, and I will disperse you; and ye shall fall like a precious vessel.
35 ೩೫ ಕುರುಬರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಸಿಕ್ಕದು, ಮಂದೆಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಯಕರು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸ್ಪದ ದೊರೆಯದು.
And refuge shall perish from the shepherds, and escape from the noble ones of the flock.
There shall be a voice of the cry of the shepherds, and a howling of the noble ones of the flock: for Jehovah layeth waste their pasture;
and the peaceable enclosures shall be desolated, because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.
38 ೩೮ ಆತನು ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಗವಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದಲೂ ಆತನ ರೋಷಾಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಅವರ ದೇಶವು ಬೆರಗಿಗೆ ಈಡಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
He hath forsaken his covert as a young lion; for their land is a desolation because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and because of his fierce anger.
