ಯೆಶಾಯನು 9
1 ೧ ಆದರೆ ಸಂಕಟಪಟ್ಟ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಧಕಾರವಿಲ್ಲ. ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆಬುಲೋನ್ ಮತ್ತು ನಫ್ತಾಲಿ ಸೀಮೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಆತನು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಯ ಸೀಮೆ, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಕಡೆಗಿರುವ ಸೀಮೆ, ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳಿರುವ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ಸೀಮೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಘನಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
Nevertheless the darkness shall not be as when the distress was in the [land], at the time he at first lightly, and afterwards heavily, visited the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, — the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations:
the people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them light hath shone.
3 ೩ ನೀನು ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಸುಗ್ಗಿ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೂ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರು, ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Thou hast multiplied the nation, hast increased its joy: they joy before thee like to the joy in harvest; as [men] rejoice when they divide the spoil.
4 ೪ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಾರವಾದ ನೊಗವನ್ನೂ, ಬೆನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ಕೋಲನ್ನೂ, ಬಿಟ್ಟೀ ಹಿಡಿದವನ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನಿನ ನಾಶನದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಮುರಿದು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.
For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.
5 ೫ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಗದ್ದಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಳಿದಾಡಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಪಾದರಕ್ಷೆಗಳೂ, ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದಿದ ಉಡುಪುಗಳೂ, ಅಗ್ನಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವಾಗಿ ಸುಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವವು.
For every boot of him that is shod for the tumult, and the garment rolled in blood, shall be for burning, fuel for fire.
6 ೬ ಒಂದು ಮಗು ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದೆಯಷ್ಟೆ, ವರದ ಮಗನು ನಮಗೆ ದೊರೆತನು; ಆಡಳಿತವು ಅವನ ಬಾಹುವಿನ ಮೇಲಿರುವುದು; ಅದ್ಭುತ ಸ್ವರೂಪನು, ಆಲೋಚನಾ ಕರ್ತನು, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯಾದ ದೇವರೂ, ನಿತ್ಯನಾದ ತಂದೆ, ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಪ್ರಭು ಎಂಬುದು ಆತನ ಹೆಸರು.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name is called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
7 ೭ ಆತನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಆಡಳಿತವು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಯಾಗುವುದು. ದಾವೀದನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿರುವುದು. ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು. ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹವು ಇದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವುದು.
Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with judgment and with righteousness, from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.
The Lord sent a word unto Jacob, and it lighteth upon Israel.
9 ೯ ಗರ್ವದಿಂದಲೂ, ಕೆಚ್ಚೆದೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೂ, ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ಯರಿಗೂ, ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಆ ಮಾತು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು. ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
And all the people shall know [it], Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in pride and stoutness of heart,
10 ೧೦ “ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋದರೂ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆವು. ಅತ್ತಿ ಮರಗಳು ಕಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರೂ ದೇವದಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕುವೆವು” ಎಂಬುದೇ.
The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones; the sycamore trees are cut down, but we will replace them with cedars.
And Jehovah will set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and arm his enemies,
12 ೧೨ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪೂರ್ವದಿಂದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಿಂದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವನು. ಇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಬಾಯಿದೆರೆದು ನುಂಗುವರು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
the Syrians on the east, and the Philistines on the west; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.
13 ೧೩ ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದಾತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
But the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, and they do not seek Jehovah of hosts.
14 ೧೪ ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಿಂದ ತಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಲಗಳನ್ನು, ಖರ್ಜೂರದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಬೇರುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿದು ಹಾಕುವನು.
And Jehovah will cut off from Israel head and tail, palm-branch and rush, in one day:
the ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
For the guides of this people mislead [them]; and they that are guided by them are swallowed up.
17 ೧೭ ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿನ ಅನಾಥರನ್ನೂ, ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನೂ ಕರುಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನೂ, ದುಷ್ಟನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರ ಬಾಯಿಯೂ ಮೂರ್ಖತನದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟು ದಂಡಿಸಿದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
Therefore the Lord will not rejoice in their young men, neither will he have mercy on their fatherless and on their widows; for every one is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.
18 ೧೮ ದುಷ್ಟತನವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಂತೆ ಉರಿದು, ಮುಳ್ಳು ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಪೊದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವು ಹೊಗೆ ಹೊಗೆಯಾಗಿ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಏರುತ್ತದೆ.
For wickedness burneth as a fire: it devoureth briars and thorns, and kindleth in the thickets of the forest, and they go rolling up like a pillar of smoke.
19 ೧೯ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೋಪೋದ್ರೇಕದಿಂದ ದೇಶವು ಸುಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಅಗ್ನಿಗೆ ಆಹುತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
Through the wrath of Jehovah of hosts is the land burned up, and the people is as fuel for fire: a man spareth not his brother;
20 ೨೦ ಅವನು ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ತಿಂದರೂ ಹಸಿದೇ ಇರುವನು. ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ತಿಂದರೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತೋಳಿನ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನೇ ತಿನ್ನುವನು.
and he snatcheth on the right hand, and is hungry, and eateth on the left hand; and they are not satisfied. They eat every man the flesh of his own arm:
21 ೨೧ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ್ನು, ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಎರಡೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆದರೂ ಆತನ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇರುವುದು.
Manasseh, Ephraim, and Ephraim, Manasseh; [and] they together are against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, and his hand is stretched out still.
