ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 46

1 ೧ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ತನಗಿದ್ದ ಸರ್ವಸ್ವವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡಿ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಇಸಾಕನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.

And Israel departed, he and all that he had, and came to the well of the oath; and he offered sacrifice to the God of his father Isaac.

2 ೨ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನಿಗೆ, “ಯಾಕೋಬನೇ, ಯಾಕೋಬನೇ” ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲು, ಅವನು, “ಇಗೋ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.

And God spoke to Israel in a night vision, saying, Jacob, Jacob; and he said, What is it?

3 ೩ ಆತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನೇ ದೇವರು, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ದೇವರು ನಾನೇ; ನೀನು ಗಟ್ಟಾ ಇಳಿದು ಹೆದರದೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗು; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಮಹಾ ಜನಾಂಗವುಂಟಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.

And he says to him, I am the God of your fathers; fear not to go down into Egypt, for I will make you there a great nation.

4 ೪ ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವೆನು; ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವೆನು; (ನಿನ್ನ ಅವಸಾನಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ) ನಿನ್ನ ಮರಣದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದು ಸಂತೈಸುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

And I will go down with you into Egypt, and I will bring you up at the end; and Joseph shall put his hands on your eyes.

5 ೫ ಬಳಿಕ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟನು. ಫರೋಹನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನೂ, ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟರು.

And Jacob rose up from the well of the oath; and the sons of Israel took up their father, and the baggage, and their wives on the waggons, which Joseph sent to take them.

6 ೬ ಯಾಕೋಬನೂ, ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ದನಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಾವು ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಂಪತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದರು.

And they took up their goods, and all their property, which they had gotten in the land of Chanaan; they came into the land of Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him.

7 ೭ ಹೀಗೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡಲೇ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದನು.

The sons, and the sons of his sons with him; [his] daughters, and the daughters of his daughters; and he brought all his seed into Egypt.

8 ೮ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಸೇರಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು: ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಗನಾದ ರೂಬೇನನು.

And these are the names of the sons of Israel that went into Egypt with their father Jacob—Jacob and his sons. The firstborn of Jacob, Ruben.

9 ೯ ರೂಬೇನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಹನೋಕ್, ಫಲ್ಲೂ, ಹೆಚ್ರೋನ್, ಕರ್ಮೀ.

And the sons of Ruben; Enoch, and Phallus, Asron, and Charmi.

10 ೧೦ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಯೆಮೂವೇಲ್, ಯಾಮೀನ್, ಓಹದ್, ಯಾಕೀನ್, ಚೋಹರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾನಾನ್ಯ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಸೌಲ.

and the sons of Symeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Aod, and Achin, and Saar, and Saul, the son of a Chananitish woman.

11 ೧೧ ಲೇವಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಗೇರ್ಷೋನ್, ಕೆಹಾತ್, ಮೆರಾರೀ.

And the sons of Levi; Gerson, Cath, and Merari.

12 ೧೨ ಯೆಹೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಏರ್, ಓನಾನ್, ಶೇಲಾಹ, ಪೆರೆಚ್, ಜೆರಹ. ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್, ಓನಾನ್ ಎಂಬವರು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದರು. ಪೆರೆಚನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಹೆಚ್ರೋನ್, ಹಾಮೂಲ್.

And the sons of Judas; Er, and Aunan, and Selom, and Phares, and Zara: and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan.

13 ೧೩ ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ತೋಲಾ, ಪುವ್ವಾ, ಯೋಬ್, ಶಿಮ್ರೋನ್.

And the sons of Phares [were] Esron, and Jemuel. And the sons of Issachar; Thola, and Phua, and Asum, and Sambran.

14 ೧೪ ಜೆಬುಲೂನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಸೆರೆದ್, ಏಲೋನ್, ಯಹ್ಲೇಲ್

And the sons of Zabulun, Sered, and Allon, and Achoel.

15 ೧೫ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಲೇಯಳ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು. ಆಕೆಯು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ಇವರನ್ನೂ, ದೀನಳೆಂಬ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪದ್ದನ್ ಅರಾಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಡೆದಳು. ಆಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ.

These [are] the sons of Lea, which she bore to Jacob in Mesopotamia of Syria, and Dina his daughter; all the souls, sons and daughters, thirty-three.

16 ೧೬ ಗಾದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಚಿಪ್ಯೋನ್, ಹಗ್ಗೀ, ಶೂನೀ, ಎಚ್ಬೋನ್, ಏರೀ, ಅರೋದೀ, ಅರೇಲೀ;

And the sons of Gad; Saphon, and Angis, and Sannis, and Thasoban, and Aedis, and Aroedis, and Areelis.

17 ೧೭ ಆಶೇರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಇಮ್ನಾ, ಇಷ್ವಾ, ಇಷ್ವೀ, ಬೆರೀಗಾ, ಇವರ ತಂಗಿಯಾದ ಸೆರಹ; ಬೆರೀಗನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಹೆಬೆರ್, ಮಲ್ಕೀಯೇಲ್.

And the sons of Aser; Jemna, Jessua, and Jeul, and Baria, and Sara their sister. And the sons of Baria; Chobor, and Melchiil.

18 ೧೮ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಲಾಬಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಲೇಯಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಜಿಲ್ಪಳ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು. ಈಕೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಹದಿನಾರು ಮಂದಿ.

These [are] the sons of Zelpha, which Laban gave to his daughter Lea, who bore these to Jacob, sixteen souls.

19 ೧೯ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ರಾಹೇಲಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯೋಸೇಫ್, ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್.

And the sons of Rachel, the wife of Jacob; Joseph, and Benjamin.

20 ೨೦ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಓನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪುರೋಹಿತನಾದ ಪೋಟೀಫೆರನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಆಸನತ್ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಮನಸ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್.

And there were sons born to Joseph in the land of Egypt, whom Aseneth, the daughter of Petephres, priest of Heliopolis, bore to him, [even] Manasses and Ephraim. And there were sons born to Manasses, which the Syrian concubine bore to him, [even] Machir. And Machir begot Galaad. And the sons of Ephraim, the brother of Manasses; Sutalaam, and Taam. And the sons of Sutalaam; Edom.

21 ೨೧ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಬಿಳಾ, ಬೆಕೆರ್, ಅಶ್ಬೇಲ್, ಗೇರಾ, ನಾಮಾನ್, ಏಹೀ, ರೋಷ್, ಮುಪ್ಪೀಮ್, ಹುಪ್ಪೀಮ್, ಆರ್ದ್.

and the sons of Benjamin; Bala, and Bochor, and Asbel. And the sons of Bala were Gera, and Noeman, and Anchis, and Ros, and Mamphim. And Gera begot Arad.

22 ೨೨ ಈ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕು ಮಂದಿಯು ರಾಹೇಲಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಂದಾದ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು.

These [are] the sons of Rachel, which she bore to Jacob; all the souls eighteen.

23 ೨೩ ದಾನನ ಮಗನು: ಹುಶೀಮ್.

And the sons of Dan; Asom.

24 ೨೪ ನಫ್ತಾಲಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು: ಯಹೇಲ್, ಗೂನೀ, ಯೇಚೆರ್, ಶಿಲ್ಲೇಮ್.

And the sons of Nephthalim; Asiel, and Goni, and Issaar, and Sollem.

25 ೨೫ ಇವರು ಲಾಬಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ರಾಹೇಲಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಬಿಲ್ಹಳ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು. ಈಕೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ.

These [are] the sons of Balla, whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel, who bore these to Jacob; all the souls, seven.

26 ೨೬ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಸೊಸೆಯರಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಂದಲೇ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದವರು ಒಟ್ಟು ಅರವತ್ತಾರು ಮಂದಿ.

And all the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, who came out of his loins, besides the wives of the sons of Jacob, [even] all the souls were sixty-six.

27 ೨೭ ಅವರಲ್ಲದೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರು ಇಬ್ಬರು. ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಒಟ್ಟು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ.

And the sons of Joseph, who were born to him in the land of Egypt, were nine souls; all the souls of the house of Jacob who came with Joseph into Egypt, were seventy-five souls.

28 ೨೮ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೂದನನ್ನು ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ,

And he sent Judas before him to Joseph, to meet him to the city of Heroes, into the land of Ramesses.

29 ೨೯ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ರಥವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಗೋಷೆನಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿ, ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಅತ್ತನು.

And Joseph having made ready his chariots, went up to meet Israel his father, at the city of Heroes; and having appeared to him, fell on his neck, and wept with abundant weeping.

30 ೩೦ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ನೀನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಜೀವದಿಂದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಸಂತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

And Israel said to Joseph, After this I will [gladly] die, since I have seen your face, for you are yet living.

31 ೩೧ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರನ್ನೂ, ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು “ನಾನು ಹೋಗಿ ಫರೋಹನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಬಂದ ವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ಕಾನಾನ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರೂ, ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ;

And Joseph said to his brethren, I will go up and tell Pharao, and will say to him, My brethren, and my father's house, who were in the land of Chanaan, are come to me.

32 ೩೨ ಅವರು ಕುರಿಕಾಯುವವರು, ಪಶುಪಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಅವರ ಕಸುಬು; ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಮಗಿರುವ ಸರ್ವಸ್ವವನ್ನೂ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

And the men are shepherds; for they have been feeders of cattle, and they have brought with them their cattle, and their kine, and all their property.

33 ೩೩ ಫರೋಹನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಸುಬು ಏನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ,

If then Pharao call you, and say to you, What is you occupation?

34 ೩೪ “ನೀವು ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದ ಇದುವರೆಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಪಶುಪಾಲಕರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ. ಪಶುಪಾಲಕರು ಐಗುಪ್ತರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಸೀಮೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸುವನು” ಎಂದನು.

You shall say, We your servants are herdsmen from our youth until now, both we and our fathers: that you may dwell in the land of Gesem of Arabia, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.
