ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 17
1 ೧ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ತೊಂಭತೊಂಭತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದವನಾದಾಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, “ನಾನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು; ನನ್ನೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷ ಇಲ್ಲದವನಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊ.
When Abram was ninetie yeere olde and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. walke before me, and be thou vpright,
And I will make my couenant betweene me and thee, and I will multiplie thee exceedingly.
Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,
4 ೪ “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಪುರುಷನಾಗುವಿ,
Beholde, I make my couenant with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations,
5 ೫ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೂಲಪಿತೃವಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿರುವುದು.
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shalbe Abraham: for a father of many nations haue I made thee.
Also I will make thee exceeding fruitfull, and will make nations of thee: yea, Kings shall proceede of thee.
7 ೭ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೂ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವೆನೆಂದೂ ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.
Moreouer I wil establish my couenant betweene me and thee, and thy seede after thee in their generations, for an euerlasting couenant, to be God vnto thee and to thy seede after thee.
8 ೮ ನೀನು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವೆನು” ಎಂದನು.
And I will giue thee and thy seede after thee the land, wherein thou art a stranger, euen all the land of Canaan, for an euerlasting possession, and I will be their God.
9 ೯ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನಂತೂ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು. ನೀನು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು.
Againe God said vnto Abraham, Thou also shalt keepe my couenant, thou, and thy seede after thee in their generations.
10 ೧೦ ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯುವರೂ ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಯಾವುದೆಂದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗಂಡಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸುನ್ನತಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದೇ.
This is my couenant which ye shall keepe betweene me and you, and thy seede after thee, Let euery man childe among you be circumcised:
That is, ye shall circumcise the foreskin of your flesh, and it shalbe a signe of the couenant betweene me and you.
12 ೧೨ ಮುಂದಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಲತಲಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಗಂಡು ಮಗುವಿಗೂ, ಎಂಟು ದಿನಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಮಾಡಿಸಬೇಕು; ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನಾಗಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಲಿ, ಅನ್ಯರಿಂದ ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಲಿ;
And euery man childe of eight dayes olde among you, shalbe circumcised in your generations, aswell he that is borne in thine house, as he that is bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seede.
13 ೧೩ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನಿಗೂ, ನೀನು ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡವನಿಗೂ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಗುರುತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದು, ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವುದು.
He that is borne in thine house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needes be circumcised: so my couenant shall be in your flesh for an euerlasting couenant.
14 ೧೪ ಸುನ್ನತಿಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಪುರುಷನಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಆಗುವ ಕಾರಣ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕುಲದಿಂದ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
But the vncircumcised man childe, in whose flesh the foreskin is not circumcised, euen that person shall be cut off from his people, because he hath broken my couenant.
15 ೧೫ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾರಯಳೆಂದು ಕರೆಯದೆ ‘ಸಾರಾ’ (ರಾಣಿ) ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಬೇಕು.
Afterward God said vnto Abraham, Sarai thy wife shalt thou not call Sarai, but Sarah shalbe her name.
16 ೧೬ ನಾನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ, ಆಕೆಯಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೂ ಅರಸರೂ ಉತ್ಪತ್ತಿಯಾಗುವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
And I will blesse her, and will also giue thee a sonne of her, yea, I will blesse her, and she shall be the mother of nations: Kings also of people shall come of her.
17 ೧೭ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಅಡ್ಡ ಬಿದ್ದು ನಕ್ಕು, “ನೂರು ವರ್ಷದವನಿಗೆ ಮಗ ಹುಟ್ಟುವುದುಂಟೇ? ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ವರ್ಷದವಳಾದ ಸಾರಳು ಹೆರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ?” ಎಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
Then Abraham fell vpon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a childe be borne vnto him, that is an hundreth yeere olde? and shall Sarah that is ninetie yeere olde beare?
And Abraham saide vnto God, Oh, that Ishmael might liue in thy sight.
19 ೧೯ ದೇವರು, “ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ಸಾರಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಮಗನು ಹುಟ್ಟುವನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ‘ಇಸಾಕ’ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಡಬೇಕು. ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು; ಅದು ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
Then God saide, Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede, and thou shalt call his name Izhak: and I will establish my couenant with him for an euerlasting couenant, and with his seede after him.
20 ೨೦ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಬಿನ್ನಹವನ್ನು ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಮಾಡಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾದ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ಅವನು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಅರಸರನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವನು, ಅವನಿಂದ ಮಹಾ ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
And as concerning Ishmael, I haue heard thee: loe, I haue blessed him, and will make him fruitfull, and will multiplie him exceedingly: twelue princes shall he beget, and I will make a great nation of him.
21 ೨೧ ಆದರೆ ಆ ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಇಸಾಕನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಬರುವ ವರ್ಷ ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಸಾರಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೆರುವಳು” ಅಂದನು.
But my couenant will I establish with Izhak, which Sarah shall beare vnto thee, the next yeere at this season.
And he left off talking with him, and God went vp from Abraham.
23 ೨೩ ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಷ್ಮಾಯೇಲನಿಗೂ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಂಡಸರಿಗೂ, ಅಂದರೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ, ತಾನು ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡವರಿಗೂ ದೇವರ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು.
Then Abraham tooke Ishmael his sonne and all that were borne in his house, and all that was bought with his money, that is, euery man childe among the men of Abrahams house, and he circumcised the foreskinne of their flesh in that selfe same day, as God had comaunded him.
Abraham also himselfe was ninetie yeere olde and nine, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
And Ishmael his sonne was thirteene yeere olde, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.
The selfe same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his sonne:
27 ೨೭ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಗಂಡಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅನ್ಯರಿಂದ ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡವರಿಗೂ ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುನ್ನತಿಯಾಯಿತು.
And all the men of his house, both borne in his house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
