ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ 1
1 ೧ ಥೆಯೊಫಿಲನೇ, ನಾನು ಮೊದಲು ಬರೆದ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ, ಯೇಸು ತಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟು,
The former account, indeed, I made concerning all things, O Theophilus, that Jesus began both to do and to teach,
2 ೨ ಆತನು ಸ್ವರ್ಗಾರೋಹಣವಾದ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ ಆತನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೋಧನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
till the day in which, having given command, through the Holy Spirit, to the apostles whom he did choose out, he was taken up,
3 ೩ ಯೇಸುವು ಬಾಧೆಪಟ್ಟು ಸತ್ತ ನಂತರ ತಾನು ಜೀವಂತನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಭವಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಸತತವಾಗಿ ನಲವತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳ ತನಕ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದನು.
to whom also he did present himself alive after his suffering, in many certain proofs, through forty days being seen by them, and speaking the things concerning the reign of God.
4 ೪ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದುಗೂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, “ನೀವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗದೆ, ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದಂಥ ಮತ್ತು ತಂದೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿರಿ,
And being assembled together with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, [saith he, ] 'Ye did hear of me;
5 ೫ ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಯೋಹಾನನಂತೂ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನವಾಗುವುದು” ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
because John, indeed, baptized with water, and ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit — after not many days.'
6 ೬ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದವರು ಆತನನ್ನು, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ಇದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವಿಯೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು
They, therefore, indeed, having come together, were questioning him, saying, 'Lord, dost thou at this time restore the reign to Israel?'
7 ೭ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕಾಲಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯವಲ್ಲ.
and he said unto them, 'It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father did appoint in His own authority;
8 ೮ ಆದರೆ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಲು ನೀವು ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವರಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಯೂದಾಯದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯು, ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೂ ನನಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವಿರಿ” ಅಂದನು.
but ye shall receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit upon you, and ye shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the end of the earth.'
9 ೯ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆತನು ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು, ಮೋಡವೊಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕವಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಯೇಸುವು ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾದನು.
And these things having said — they beholding — he was taken up, and a cloud did receive him up from their sight;
10 ೧೦ ಆತನು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅವರು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರಲಾಗಿ ಶುಭ್ರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಧಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪುರುಷರು ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಅವರ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡರು.
and as they were looking stedfastly to the heaven in his going on, then, lo, two men stood by them in white apparel,
11 ೧೧ “ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವರೇ, ನೀವು ಏಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶದೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಈ ಯೇಸುವು ಯಾವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಾಶದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕಂಡಿರೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆತನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬರುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
who also said, 'Men, Galileans, why do ye stand gazing into the heaven? this Jesus who was received up from you into the heaven, shall so come in what manner ye saw him going on to the heaven.'
12 ೧೨ ಆಗ ಅವರು ಆಲೀವ್ ಮರಗಳ ಗುಡ್ಡದಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದರು. ಆ ಗುಡ್ಡಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡುವಷ್ಟು ದೂರವಿತ್ತು.
Then did they return to Jerusalem from the mount that is called of Olives, that is near Jerusalem, a sabbath's journey;
13 ೧೩ ಅವರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತಾವು ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮೇಲಂತಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು; ಅವರು ಯಾರಾರೆಂದರೆ, ಪೇತ್ರ, ಯೋಹಾನ, ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಅಂದ್ರೆಯ, ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪ, ತೋಮ, ಬಾರ್ತೊಲೊಮಾಯ, ಮತ್ತಾಯ, ಅಲ್ಫಾಯನ ಮಗ ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಮತಾಭಿಮಾನಿ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸೀಮೋನ, ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಯೂದ, ಇವರೇ.
and when they came in, they went up to the upper room, where were abiding both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James, of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zelotes, and Judas, of James;
14 ೧೪ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೂ, ಯೇಸುವಿನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಮರಿಯಳೂ, ಆತನ ತಮ್ಮಂದಿರೂ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದರು, ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಏಕಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
these all were continuing with one accord in prayer and supplication, with women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 ೧೫ ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ನೂರಿಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಿಗಳು ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿರಲಾಗಿ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,
And in these days, Peter having risen up in the midst of the disciples, said, (the multitude also of the names at the same place was, as it were, an hundred and twenty, )
16 ೧೬ “ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ದಾರೀತೋರಿಸಿದ ಯೂದನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ದಾವೀದನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಮೊದಲೇ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಚನವು ನೆರವೇರುವುದು ಅವಶ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
'Men, brethren, it behoved this Writing that it be fulfilled that beforehand the Holy Spirit spake through the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus,
because he was numbered among us, and did receive the share in this ministration,
18 ೧೮ (ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹದ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವಾಗಿ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು ಮತ್ತು ತಲೆಕೆಳಗಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಒಡೆದು ಕರುಳುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊರಗೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲಿದವು.
this one, indeed, then, purchased a field out of the reward of unrighteousness, and falling headlong, burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed forth,
19 ೧೯ ಇದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದುದರಿಂದ ಆ ಹೊಲಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಅಕೆಲ್ದಾಮಾ,’ ಅಂದರೆ ರಕ್ತದ ಹೊಲ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದಿತು.)
and it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem, insomuch that that place is called, in their proper dialect, Aceldama, that is, field of blood,
20 ೨೦ ಅವನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ, ಅವನ ಮನೆ ಹಾಳಾಗಲಿ, ಅದು ಜನರಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪಾಳುಬೀಳಲಿ ಎಂತಲೂ ಅವನ ನಾಯಕತ್ವದ ಹುದ್ದೆಯು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನಿಗಾಗಲಿ ಎಂತಲೂ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.
for it hath been written in the book of Psalms: Let his lodging-place become desolate, and let no one be dwelling in it, and his oversight let another take.
21 ೨೧ ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಕಾಲವೆಲ್ಲಾ, ಅಂದರೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಯೇಸು ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಪರಲೋಕವನ್ನೇರಿ ಹೋದ ದಿನದ ವರೆಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರೊಳಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಹೇಳುವವನಾಗಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು
'It behoveth, therefore, of the men who did go with us during all the time in which the Lord Jesus went in and went out among us,

beginning from the baptism of John, unto the day in which he was received up from us, one of these to become with us a witness of his rising again.'
And they set two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias,
24 ೨೪ “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಎಲ್ಲರ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲಾತನೇ, ಯೂದನು ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲತನವೆಂಬ ಈ ಸೇವಾಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನಾಗಿ ತಾನು ಹೋಗ ತಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಆ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಆರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡವನನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಡು” ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದರು.
and having prayed, they said, 'Thou, Lord, who art knowing the heart of all, shew which one thou didst choose of these two

to receive the share of this ministration and apostleship, from which Judas, by transgression, did fall, to go on to his proper place;'
26 ೨೬ ಆನಂತರ ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿದರು; ಚೀಟು ಮತ್ತೀಯನ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ಮಂದಿ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡನು.
and they gave their lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
