ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲವೃತ್ತಾಂತ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಭಾಗ 35
1 ೧ ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಹದಿನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಸ್ಕದ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದರು.
And Josias kept a passover to the Lord his God; and sacrificed the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
And he appointed the priests at their charges, and encouraged them for the services of the house of the Lord.
3 ೩ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸತಕ್ಕವರೂ, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತರೂ ಆದ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ, “ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ರಾಜನೂ ಆದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿರಿ; ಅದನ್ನು ಹೆಗಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಗಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರೆಯಾಗಿರಬಾರದು; ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನೂ, ಆತನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನೂ ಸೇವಿಸಿರಿ.
And he told the Levites that were able [to act] in all Israel, that they should consecrate themselves to the Lord: and they put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built: and the king said, You must not carry anything on your shoulders: now then minister to the Lord your God, and to his people Israel.
4 ೪ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನೂ, ಅವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೂ ಬರೆದು ನೇಮಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರವರ್ಗಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದು,
And prepare yourselves according to the houses of your families, and according to your daily courses, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and [the order] by the hand of his son Solomon.
5 ೫ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಗೋತ್ರಶಾಖೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಗುಂಪಿನವರು ಪವಿತ್ರಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಪಸ್ಕದ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಲಿ
And stand you in the house according to the divisions of the houses of your families for your brethren the sons of the people; [so] also let there be for the Levites a division of the house of their family.
6 ೬ ಮೋಶೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಿಧಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರು ಪಸ್ಕಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.
And kill you the passover, and prepare [it] for your brethren, to do according to the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.
7 ೭ ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪಸ್ಕಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಸೊತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಆಡುಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮೂರು ಸಾವಿರ ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದಾನಮಾಡಿದನು.
And Josias gave as an offering to the children of the people, sheep, and lambs, and kids of the young of the goats, all for the passover, [even for] all that were found, in number [amounting to] thirty thousand, and three thousand calves, these [were] of the substance of the king.
8 ೮ ಅವನ ಸರದಾರರು ಜನರಿಗೂ, ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೂ ಯಜ್ಞಪಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾದ ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯ, ಜೆಕರ್ಯ, ಯೆಹೀಯೇಲ್ ಎಂಬುವವರು ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಸಾವಿರದ ಆರು ನೂರು ಪಸ್ಕದ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
And his princes gave an offering to the people, and to the priests, and to the Levites: and Chelcias and Zacharias and Jeiel the chief men gave to the priests of the house of God, they even gave for the passover sheep, and lambs, and kids, two thousand and six hundred, and three hundred calves.
9 ೯ ಲೇವಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಕೋನನ್ಯ, ಸೆಮಾಯ, ನೆತನೇಲ್ ಎಂಬ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರೂ, ಹಷಲ್ಯ, ಯೆಗೀಯೇಲ್, ಯೋಜಾಬಾದ್ ಎಂಬವರೂ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ಪಸ್ಕದ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಐನೂರು ಹೋರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ದಾನಮಾಡಿದರು.
And Chonenias, and Banaeas, and Samaeas, and Nathanael his brother, and Asabias, and Jeiel, and Jozabad, heads of the Levites, gave an offering to the Levites for the passover, of five thousand sheep and five hundred calves.
10 ೧೦ ಸೇವೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದನಂತರ ಯಾಜಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರು ಅರಸನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ವರ್ಗವರ್ಗಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಂತರು;
And the service was duly ordered, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the command of the king.
And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled the blood from their hand, and the Levites flayed [the victims].
12 ೧೨ ಲೇವಿಯರು ಚರ್ಮ ಸುಲಿದು ಹೋಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸತಕ್ಕದ್ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆಯಾ ಗೋತ್ರಶಾಖೆಗಳಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವಿಧಿಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಹೋರಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅದೇ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು.
And they prepared the whole burnt offering to give to them, according to the division by the houses of families, [even] to the sons of the people, to offer to the Lord, as it is written in the book of Moses.
13 ೧೩ ಆಮೇಲೆ ಲೇವಿಯರು ಪಸ್ಕದ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತವಾದ ಪಶುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಪ್ಪರಿಗೆ, ಬಾನೆ, ಹಂಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಯಿಸಿ, ಬೇಗನೆ ತಂದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬಡಿಸಿದರು.
And thus [they did] till the morning. And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance; and boiled the holy [pieces] in copper vessels and cauldrons, and [the feast] went on well, and they quickly served all the children of the people.
14 ೧೪ ತರುವಾಯ ತಮಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಜಕರು ರಾತ್ರಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕೊಬ್ಬನ್ನೂ ಸರ್ಮಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಲೇವಿಯರು ತಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆ ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಭೋಜನ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು.
And after they had prepared for themselves and for the priests, for the priests [were engaged] in offering the whole burnt offerings and the fat until night, then the Levites prepared for themselves, and for their brethren the sons of Aaron.
15 ೧೫ ಆಸಾಫ್ಯರಾದ ಗಾಯಕರು, ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸಾಫ್, ಹೇಮಾನ್, ಅರಸನ ದರ್ಶಿಯಾದ ಯೆದುತೂನ್ ಇವರ ಆಜ್ಞಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು; ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರು ಆಯಾ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರರಾದ ಲೇವಿಯರು ಅವರ ಭೋಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And the sons of Asaph the psalm-singers [were] at their post according to the commands of David, and Asaph, and Aeman, and Idithom, the prophets of the king: also, the chiefs and the porters of the several gates; —it was not for them to stir from the service of the holy things, for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.
16 ೧೬ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸೇವೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಆ ದಿನವೇ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಯಿತು.
So all the service of the Lord was duly ordered and prepared in that day, for keeping the passover, and offering the whole burnt sacrifices on the altar of the Lord, according to the command of king Josias.
17 ೧೭ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನೂ ಏಳು ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಹುಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳ ಜಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನೂ ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು.
And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.
18 ೧೮ ಇಂಥಾ ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬವು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಸಮುವೇಲನ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಯೋಷೀಯನೂ, ಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ಕೂಡಿಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು, ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರೂ ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ರಾಜರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಆಚರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
And there was no passover like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, or any king of Israel: they kept not such a passover as Josias, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Juda and Israel that were present, and the dwellers in Jerusalem, kept to the Lord.
In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josias this passover was kept, after all these things that Josias did in the house.
20 ೨೦ ಯೋಷೀಯನು ದೇವಾಲಯದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನಂತರ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಕೋ ಎಂಬುವವನು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಯೂಫ್ರೆಟಿಸ್ ನದಿಯ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕರ್ಕೆಮೀಷಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
And Pharao Nechao king of Egypt went up against the king of the Assyrians to the river Euphrates, and king Josias went to meet him.
21 ೨೧ ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಡಲು ನೆಕೋವನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, “ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಗೊಡವೆ ನಿನಗೇಕೆ? ನಾನು ಈ ಸಾರಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟದ್ದು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುವಂಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ, ನಾನು ಮುನ್ನುಗ್ಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ದೇವರ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿರುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕೈಯೆತ್ತುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಡು. ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಸಿದನು.
And he sent messengers to him, saying, What have I to do with you, O king of Juda? I am not come today to war against you; and God has told me to hasten: beware of the God that is with me, lest he destroy you.
22 ೨೨ ಆದರೆ ಯೋಷೀಯನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ನೆಕೋವಿನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ, ವೇಷಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಕಾದಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆಗಿದ್ದೋ ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
However, Josias turned not his face from him, but strengthened himself to fight against him, and listened not to the words of Nechao by the mouth of God, and he came to fight in the plain of Mageddo.
23 ೨೩ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಾರರು ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನಿಗೆ ಬಾಣವನ್ನೆಸೆದಾಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ, “ನನಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗಾಯವಾಯಿತು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆಚೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ” ಎಂದನು.
And the archers shot at king Josias; and the king said to his servants, Take me away, for I am severely wounded.
24 ೨೪ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಯುದ್ಧರಥದಿಂದಿಳಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ಎರಡನೆಯ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿಸಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತನು. ಅವನ ಶವವನ್ನು ಅವನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಸ್ಮಶಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಿದರು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನವರೂ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಗೋಳಾಡಿದರು.
And his servants lifted him out of the chariot, and put him in the second chariot which he had, and brought him to Jerusalem; and he died, and was buried with his fathers: and all Juda and Jerusalem lamented over Josias.
25 ೨೫ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಯೋಷೀಯನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಶೋಕಗೀತವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದನು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗಾಯಕರೂ ಗಾಯಕಿಯರೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಶೋಕಗೀತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವರ್ಣಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆ ಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುವುದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವು ಶೋಕಗೀತಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
And Jeremias mourned over Josias, and all the chief men and chief women uttered a lamentation over Josias until this day: and they made it an ordinance for Israel, and, behold, it is written in the lamentations.
And the rest of the acts of Josias, and his hope, are written in the law of the Lord.
And his acts, the first and the last, behold, [they are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
