ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನಿಗೆ ಬರೆದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ 3

1 ೧ ಸಭಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವವನು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂಬ ಮಾತು ನಂಬತಕ್ಕದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.

Trustworthy [is] the saying: If anyone overseership aspires to, of good a work he is desirous.

2 ೨ ಸಭಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷನು ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವನೂ, ಏಕಪತ್ನಿಯುಳ್ಳವನೂ, ಶಾಂತನೂ, ಜಿತೇಂದ್ರಿಯನೂ, ಮಾನಸ್ಥನೂ, ಅತಿಥಿಸತ್ಕಾರಮಾಡುವವನೂ, ಬೋಧಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

It behooves therefore the overseer above reproach to be, of one wife [the] husband, sober, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

3 ೩ ಅವನು ಕುಡಕನು, ಜಗಳವಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿರದೆ, ಸಾತ್ವಿಕನೂ, ಹೊಡೆದಾಡದವನೂ ದ್ರವ್ಯಾಶೆಯಿಲ್ಲದವನೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು.

not given to wine, not a striker (not greedy of base gain *K) but gentle, peaceable, not loving money,

4 ೪ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೌರವದಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ಸ್ವಂತ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸುವವನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

[his] own house well managing, children having in submission with all dignity.

5 ೫ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿಯದವನು ದೇವರ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಪರಾಂಬರಿಸುವನು?

if but one his [own] household to manage not knows, how [the] church of God will he care for?

6 ೬ ಅವನು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದವನಾಗಿರಬಾರದು, ಅಂಥವನಾದರೆ ಉಬ್ಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಸೈತಾನನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಾವಿಧಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದಾನು.

not a novice, that not having been puffed up into [the] judgment he may fall of the devil.

7 ೭ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಹೊರಗಣವರಿಂದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವನೆನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕು, ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಂದೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವನು ಮತ್ತು ಸೈತಾನನ ತಂತ್ರಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದಾನು.

It behooves now (him *k) also a testimony good to have from those outside, so that not into reproach he may fall and [the] snare of the devil.

8 ೮ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಭಾಸೇವಕರು ಗೌರವವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಅವರು ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿನವರೂ, ಮದ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತರೂ, ನೀಚಲಾಭವನ್ನು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರೂ ಆಗಿರದೆ,

Deacons likewise [must be] dignified, not double-tongued, not to wine much being given, not greedy of dishonest gain,

9 ೯ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುವ ಸತ್ಯಾರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಿಂದ ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.

holding to the mystery of the faith with clear a conscience.

10 ೧೦ ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಮೊದಲು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು, ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರೂ ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸದಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಭಾಸೇವಕರ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಿ.

Also these now they should be tested first, then they should serve blameless being.

11 ೧೧ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಭಾಸೇವಕಿಯರಾದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರೂ ಗೌರವವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು, ಚಾಡಿಹೇಳುವವರಾಗಿರದೆ, ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಳ್ಳವರೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರಬೇಕು.

Women likewise [must be] dignified, not slanderers, (clear-minded, *N+kO) faithful in all things.

12 ೧೨ ಸಭಾಸೇವಕರು ಏಕಪತ್ನಿಯುಳ್ಳವರೂ, ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಡಿಸುವವರೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು.

Deacons should be of one wife husbands, [their] children well managing and [their] own households.

13 ೧೩ ಸಭಾಸೇವಕರಾಗಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿರುವವರು ತಮಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಬಹುಧೈರ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Those for well having served a standing for themselves good acquire and great confidence in [the] faith that [is] in Christ Jesus.

14 ೧೪ ಬೇಗನೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವೆನೆಂಬ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

These things to you I am writing hoping to come to you (with *no) (speed; *N+kO)

15 ೧೫ ಆದರೆ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಾನು ತಡಮಾಡಿದರೂ, ದೇವರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಜೀವಸ್ವರೂಪನಾದ ದೇವರ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ರೀತಿಯು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಸಭೆಯು ಸತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ತಂಭವೂ ಆಧಾರವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.

if however I shall delay, so that you may know how it behooves [one] in [the] household of God to conduct oneself, which is [the] church of God [the] living, [the] pillar and base of the truth.

16 ೧೬ ದೇವಭಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿರುವ ಸತ್ಯಾರ್ಥದ ರಹಸ್ಯವು ಗಂಭೀರವಾದದ್ದೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ, ಅದೇನಂದರೆ, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಶರೀರಧಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾದನು, ಆತ್ಮಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೇ ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು, ದೇವದೂತರಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು, ಅನ್ಯಜನರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು, ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು, ಮಹಿಮೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು.

And confessedly great is the of godliness mystery: (Who *N+KO) was revealed in [the] flesh, was justified in [the] Spirit, beheld by angels, was proclaimed among [the] nations, was believed on in [the] world, was taken up in glory.
