Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
2 Hagi Deviti'a Hebronima mani'neno'a, ne' mofavrezaga zamante'ne. Hagi zage mofavremofo agi'a Amnonikino, Jezrili kumateti a'mo Ahinoamu kasente'ne.
And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;
3 Hagi nampa 2 mofavrea Kiliabukino, Karmeli kumateti ne' Nebali kento a'ma Abigelima eri'nea a'mo kasente'ne. Hagi nampa 3 mofavre'a Absalomukino, Gesuri kumate kini ne'mofo mofa'mo Maka kasente'ne.
And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
4 Hagi nampa 4 mofavre'a Adonijakino Hagiti kasentene. Hagi nampa 5fu mofavrea Sefatiakino, Abitari kasente'ne.
And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
5 Hagi nampa 6is mofavrea Itreamukino, Egla kasente'ne. E'i ana mofavrezaga Deviti'a Hebroni mani'neno kasezamante'ne.
And the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah David's wife. These were born to David in Hebron.
6 Hagi ha'ma Deviti naga'ene Soli naga'enema nehaza knafina, Abna'a hanave sondia ne' Soli sondia vahepina mani'ne.
And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, that Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul.
7 Hagi Soli'ma mago a'ma eri'neana, Aia mofa Rizpa eri'ne. Hagi Is-boseti'a Abnankura huno, nahigenka nenafa ara antenka mase'nane?
And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore have you gone in unto my father's concubine?
8 Hagi Is-boseti'ma hiankegura Abnana tusi arimpa ahegeno amanage hu'ne, Juda vahe'mokizmi zukake kra nagra mani'nogenka nagrira balia rugantugma nehano? Hagi maka'zama negafa Soline, naga'ane, roneanema navesinezmante'na kagri'ma kavre'na Deviti azampima ome onte'noa zante miza naminaku nehunka, ama ara azeri savri hu'nane hunka nehano?
Then was Abner very angry for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head, which against Judah do show kindness this day unto the house of Saul your father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David, that you charge me to day with a fault concerning this woman?
9 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'ma Devitima huvempa hunte'nesia zama nagrama osanugeno'a, Anumzamo'a nagrira nazeri haviza hugahie.
So do God to Abner, and more also, except, as the LORD has sworn to David, even so I do to him;
10 Hagi nagra Abna'na Soli kini trara Deviti eri amisugeno, Israeli vahe'ene Juda vahe'ene Dani vahera noti kazigati vuno sauti kaziga Berseba uhanatisigeno agrake kegava hugahie.
To translate the kingdom from the house of Saul, and to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah, from Dan even to Beersheba.
And he could not answer Abner a word again, because he feared him.
12 Anante Abna'a ke erino vu vahete kea Devitina atrenteno anage hu'ne, Ama mopa kagri mopa me'neanki, nagri'ene kea eme huhagerafinka huvempa huge'na, nagra miko Israeli vahera zamazeri rukrahe hanena kagrite eho.
And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the land? saying also, Make your league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with you, to bring about all Israel unto you.
13 Higeno Deviti'a ana kerera anage hu'ne, Knarekita huvempa huta huhagerafigahue. Hianagi Soli mofa Mikelima kagra avrenka eme namisunka, nagri navufina kegahane.
And he said, Well; I will make a league with you: but one thing I require of you, that is, You shall not see my face, except you first bring Michal Saul's daughter, when you come to see my face.
And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth Saul's son, saying, Deliver me my wife Michal, which I espoused to me for an hundred foreskins of the Philistines.
15 Hagi Is-boseti'a ana nanekema nentahino'a mago'a vahe huzamantege'za, Laisi nemofo Paltia nenaro Mikelina ome avre'za e'naze.
And Ishbosheth sent, and took her from her husband, even from Phaltiel the son of Laish.
16 Hianagi ana ara avre'za neageno, neve'a zavineteno avaririno Bahurimi kumate egeno, Abna'a huntegeno, ete rukrahe huno kuma'arega vu'ne.
And her husband went with her along weeping behind her to Bahurim. Then said Abner unto him, Go, return. And he returned.
17 Hagi Abna'a Israeli ranra vahera zamavare atru huno anage huno zamasami'ne, Kotera Devitinku kinitia manigahie huta tamagra hu'naze.
And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying, All of you sought for David in times past to be king over you:
18 Hagi menina ana ketamire otita anaza hiho. Na'ankure Ra Anumzamo'a Deviti huvempa hunteno, Filistia vahe zamazampinti'ene ha' vahe'tamimofo zamazampintira, Israeli vahera eri'za ne'ni'a Deviti zamagu'vazigahie hu'ne.
Now then do it: for the LORD has spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
19 Hagi anante Abna'a viazamo Benzameni nagara ome ana kea nezamasamino, ete ana kea erino Devitinte Hebroni vuno, hago maka Israeli vahe'ene Benzameni naga'mo'za mago zamarimpa hu'naze huno ome asami'ne.
And Abner also spoke in the ears of Benjamin: and Abner went also to speak in the ears of David in Hebron all that seemed good to Israel, and that seemed good to the whole house of Benjamin.
20 Hagi Abna'a 20'a vahe'ene Deviti'ma mani'nerega Hebroni kumate egeno, Deviti'a rama'a ne'za krezmante'ne.
So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men that were with him a feast.
And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with you, and that you may reign over all that your heart desires. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.
And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
23 Hagi Joapu'ene sondia vahe'enema ehanatizage'za mago'a vahe'mo'za Joapuna asami'za, Neri nemofo Abna'a kini nete egeno, kini nemo'a magozana huonteno atregeno rimpa frune vu'ne.
When Joab and all the host that was with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he has sent him away, and he is gone in peace.
24 Higeno Joapu'a ame huno kini nete vuno amanage ome hu'ne, Na'a hu'nane? Abna'ma kagrite'ma egenka, nahigenka amnea atrankeno agra vu'ne?
Then Joab came to the king, and said, What have you done? behold, Abner came unto you; why is it that you have sent him away, and he is quite gone?
25 Hagi kagra antahi'nane, Neri nemofo Abna'a regavatga huno maka zama nehanaza ke'naku e'ne.
You know Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.
26 Anante Joapu'a Abnana ke atrentege'za Sira tinkerire nevige'za ome ke'za avre'za e'naze. Hagi e'i ana zama hiazana Deviti'a antahino keno osu'ne.
And when Joab was come out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, which brought him again from the well of Sirah: but David knew it not.
27 Hagi Abnama ehanatigeno'a, Joapu'a avreno rankuma kafante agri'akema kema asaminaku'ma hiaza huno avreno viazamo, negana Asahelima ahe fri'nea zanteku huno bainati kazi ome erino rimpa retragufegeno fri'ne.
And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and stroke him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.
28 Hagi henkama ana ke'ma Deviti'ma nentahino anage hu'ne, Nagrama kegava hu'noa vahe'mo'zane nagranena Ra Anumzamofo avufina keta antahita osu'nonankita, Neri nemofo Abna'ma fri'nea zamofo kora kumi'mofo knazamo'a tagritera omenetfa hugahie.
And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:
29 Hagi Abnama ahe fri'nea zamofo knazama'a Joapu'ene mika nefa naga'amo'zane erigahaze. Hagi Joapu'ene agripinti'ma fore'ma hanaza vahe'mofona namu zamarege, fugo kri erige, azompare vano huge, bainati kazinu zamahe frige, nezanku zamagatege hanige'za frigahaze.
Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue, or that is a leper, or that leans on a staff, or that falls on the sword, or that lacks bread.
So Joab, and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
31 Hagi anante Joapune maka agranema mani'naza vahera Deviti'a zamasamino, Kukenatamia tagato nehuta, tamasunku kukena huta tamasunku huta Abnankura zavira ateho. Hagi kini ne' Deviti'a vahe'ma eri'zama nevaza vahe zamefi e'ne.
And David said to Joab, and to all the people that were with him, Rend your clothes, and gird you with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And king David himself followed the bier.
32 Hagi Abnana Hebroni ome asentageno, keri'arera kini ne'mo'a tusi zavi ome atege'za, mika'mo'za Abnankura zavi ate'naze.
And they buried Abner in Hebron: and the king lifted up his voice, and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept.
33 Hagi kini ne'mo'a amanage huno asunku zagamera Abnantera hu'ne, Abna'a negi vahera omani'neanagi, na'a higeno neginagi vaheknara huno frie?
And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dies?
34 Kazantera nofira kionte'za seni nofiteti kagarera kionte'naze. Hagi kagrira kefo vahe'mo'za kahe frize. Hige'za miko vahe'mo'za Abnankura tusi zavi ate'naze.
Your hands were not bound, nor your feet put into fetters: as a man falls before wicked men, so fell you. And all the people wept again over him.
And when all the people came to cause David to eat food while it was yet day, David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.
And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people.
For all the people and all Israel understood that day that it was not of the king to slay Abner the son of Ner.
38 Hagi anante kini ne'mo'a eri'za vahe'aramina zamasamino, menina Israeli vahepima rankva vahe'ma fri'neana tamagra antahita keta osu'nazo?
And the king said unto his servants, Know all of you not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?
39 Hagi Ra Anumzamo'a kini manio huno huhampri nante'neanagi, nagrira hanaveni'a omane'ne. Hagi ama Zeruia nemofo Joapu'ene Abisai'enena hanave nentake netre mani'na'ankina, nagra zanazeri rava hegara osu'noe. Hagi havi avu'ava hu'nemofona Ra Anumzamo azeri havizana hanie.
And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.
