ヨハネの黙示録 20

1 また私は、御使いが底知れぬ所のかぎと大きな鎖とを手に持って、天から下って来るのを見た。 (Abyssos g12)

And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the Abyss and a huge chain on his hand. (Abyssos g12)

2 彼は、悪魔でありサタンである竜、あの古い蛇を捕え、これを千年の間縛って、

And he seized the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is a slanderer, even Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years;

3 底知れぬ所に投げ込んで、そこを閉じ、その上に封印して、千年の終わるまでは、それが諸国の民を惑わすことのないようにした。サタンは、そのあとでしばらくの間、解き放されなければならない。 (Abyssos g12)

he threw him into the Abyss and locked and sealed it over him so that he should not deceive the nations any more until the thousand years were finished. And after these years he must be loosed for a short time. (Abyssos g12)

4 また私は、多くの座を見た。彼らはその上にすわった。そしてさばきを行なう権威が彼らに与えられた。また私は、イエスのあかしと神のことばとのゆえに首をはねられた人たちのたましいと、獣やその像を拝まず、その額や手に獣の刻印を押されなかった人たちを見た。彼らは生き返って、キリストとともに、千年の間王となった。

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them; also, I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded on account of the testimony of Jesus and on account of the Word of God, even those who had not worshiped the Beast or his image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they lived and reigned with the Christ for a thousand years.

5 そのほかの死者は、千年の終わるまでは、生き返らなかった。これが第一の復活である。

(Now the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were finished.) This is the first resurrection.

6 この第一の復活にあずかる者は幸いな者、聖なる者である。この人々に対しては、第二の死は、なんの力も持っていない。彼らは神とキリストとの祭司となり、キリストとともに、千年の間王となる。

Blessed and holy is the one having a part in the first resurrection; upon such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years.

7 しかし千年の終わりに、サタンはその牢から解き放され、

Now when the thousand years are finished Satan will be released from his prison,

8 地の四方にある諸国の民、すなわち、ゴグとマゴグを惑わすために出て行き、戦いのために彼らを召集する。彼らの数は海べの砂のようである。

and he will go forth to deceive the nations that are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war, whose number is like the sand of the sea.

9 彼らは、地上の広い平地に上って来て、聖徒たちの陣営と愛された都とを取り囲んだ。すると、天から火が降って来て、彼らを焼き尽くした。

They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down out of heaven from God and devoured them.

10 そして、彼らを惑わした悪魔は火と硫黄との池に投げ込まれた。そこは獣も、にせ預言者もいる所で、彼らは永遠に昼も夜も苦しみを受ける。 (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the Lake of Fire and brimstone, where the Beast and the False prophet also are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

11 また私は、大きな白い御座と、そこに着座しておられる方を見た。地も天もその御前から逃げ去って、あとかたもなくなった。

Then I saw a tremendous white throne and the One who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the sky fled away; and no place was found for them.

12 また私は、死んだ人々が、大きい者も、小さい者も御座の前に立っているのを見た。そして、数々の書物が開かれた。また、別の一つの書物も開かれたが、それは、いのちの書であった。死んだ人々は、これらの書物に書きしるされているところに従って、自分の行ないに応じてさばかれた。

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and books were opened. And another Book was opened, namely, of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things that were written in the books.

13 海はその中にいる死者を出し、死もハデスも、その中にいる死者を出した。そして人々はおのおの自分の行ないに応じてさばかれた。 (Hadēs g86)

The ocean gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged each one according to their works. (Hadēs g86)

14 それから、死とハデスとは、火の池に投げ込まれた。これが第二の死である。 (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And Death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death, the Lake of Fire. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

15 いのちの書に名のしるされていない者はみな、この火の池に投げ込まれた。 (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life he was thrown into the Lake of Fire. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
