ピリピ人への手紙 4
1 そういうわけですから、私の愛し慕う兄弟たち、私の喜び、冠よ。どうか、このように主にあってしっかりと立ってください。私の愛する人たち。
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
2 ユウオデヤに勧め、スントケに勧めます。あなたがたは、主にあって一致してください。
I plead to Euodias, and plead to Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
3 ほんとうに、真の協力者よ。あなたにも頼みます。彼女たちを助けてやってください。この人たちは、いのちの書に名のしるされているクレメンスや、そのほかの私の同労者たちとともに、福音を広めることで私に協力して戦ったのです。
And I implore you also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 いつも主にあって喜びなさい。もう一度言います。喜びなさい。
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 あなたがたの寛容な心を、すべての人に知らせなさい。主は近いのです。
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 何も思い煩わないで、あらゆるばあいに、感謝をもってささげる祈りと願いによって、あなたがたの願い事を神に知っていただきなさい。
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 そうすれば、人のすべての考えにまさる神の平安が、あなたがたの心と思いをキリスト・イエスにあって守ってくれます。
And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 最後に、兄弟たち。すべての真実なこと、すべての誉れあること、すべての正しいこと、すべてのきよいこと、すべての愛すべきこと、すべての評判の良いこと、そのほか徳と言われること、称賛に値することがあるならば、そのようなことに心を留めなさい。
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 あなたがたが私から学び、受け、聞き、また見たことを実行しなさい。そうすれば、平和の神があなたがたとともにいてくださいます。
Those things, which all of you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10 私のことを心配してくれるあなたがたの心が、今ついによみがえって来たことを、私は主にあって非常に喜んでいます。あなたがたは心にかけてはいたのですが、機会がなかったのです。
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me has flourished again; wherein all of you were also careful, but all of you lacked opportunity.
11 乏しいからこう言うのではありません。私は、どんな境遇にあっても満ち足りることを学びました。
Not that I speak in respect of lack: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 私は、貧しさの中にいる道も知っており、豊かさの中にいる道も知っています。また、飽くことにも飢えることにも、富むことにも乏しいことにも、あらゆる境遇に対処する秘訣を心得ています。
I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 私は、私を強くしてくださる方によって、どんなことでもできるのです。
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
14 それにしても、あなたがたは、よく私と困難を分け合ってくれました。
Notwithstanding all of you have well done, that all of you did communicate with my affliction.
15 ピリピの人たち。あなたがたも知っているとおり、私が福音を宣べ伝え始めたころ、マケドニヤを離れて行ったときには、私の働きのために、物をやり取りしてくれた教会は、あなたがたのほかには一つもありませんでした。
Now all of you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning (logos) giving and receiving, but all of you only.
16 テサロニケにいたときでさえ、あなたがたは一度ならず二度までも物を送って、私の乏しさを補ってくれました。
For even in Thessalonica all of you sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 私は贈り物を求めているのではありません。私のほしいのは、あなたがたの収支を償わせて余りある霊的祝福なのです。
Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. (logos)
18 私は、すべての物を受けて、満ちあふれています。エパフロデトからあなたがたの贈り物を受けたので、満ち足りています。それは香ばしいかおりであって、神が喜んで受けてくださる供え物です。
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God.
19 また、私の神は、キリスト・イエスにあるご自身の栄光の富をもって、あなたがたの必要をすべて満たしてくださいます。
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
21 キリスト・イエスにある聖徒のひとりひとりに、よろしく伝えてください。私といっしょにいる兄弟たちが、あなたがたによろしくと言っています。
Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
22 聖徒たち全員が、そして特に、カイザルの家に属する人々が、よろしくと言っています。
All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
23 どうか、主イエス・キリストの恵みが、あなたがたの霊とともにありますように。
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
