ルカの福音書 5
1 群衆がイエスに押し迫るようにして神のことばを聞いたとき、イエスはゲネサレ湖の岸べに立っておられたが、
And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of YHWH, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
2 岸べに小舟が二そうあるのをご覧になった。漁師たちは、その舟から降りて網を洗っていた。
And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 イエスは、そのうちの一つの、シモンの持ち舟に乗り、陸から少し漕ぎ出すように頼まれた。そしてイエスはすわって、舟から群衆を教えられた。
And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 話が終わると、シモンに、「深みに漕ぎ出して、網をおろして魚をとりなさい。」と言われた。
Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 するとシモンが答えて言った。「先生。私たちは、夜通し働きましたが、何一つとれませんでした。でもおことばどおり、網をおろしてみましょう。」
And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6 そして、そのとおりにすると、たくさんの魚がはいり、網は破れそうになった。
And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7 そこで別の舟にいた仲間の者たちに合図をして、助けに来てくれるように頼んだ。彼らがやって来て、そして魚を両方の舟いっぱいに上げたところ、二そうとも沈みそうになった。
And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
8 これを見たシモン・ペテロは、イエスの足もとにひれ伏して、「主よ。私のような者から離れてください。私は、罪深い人間ですから。」と言った。
When Simon Kepha saw it, he fell down at Yahushua ' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O master.
9 それは、大漁のため、彼もいっしょにいたみなの者も、ひどく驚いたからである。
For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10 シモンの仲間であったゼベダイの子ヤコブやヨハネも同じであった。イエスはシモンにこう言われた。「こわがらなくてもよい。これから後、あなたは人間をとるようになるのです。」
And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Yahushua said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11 彼らは、舟を陸に着けると、何もかも捨てて、イエスに従った。
And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
12 さて、イエスがある町におられたとき、全身らい病の人がいた。イエスを見ると、ひれ伏してお願いした。「主よ。お心一つで、私はきよくしていただけます。」
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Yahushua fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Rabbi, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13 イエスは手を伸ばして、彼にさわり、「わたしの心だ。きよくなれ。」と言われた。すると、すぐに、そのらい病が消えた。
And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
14 イエスは、彼にこう命じられた。「だれにも話してはいけない。ただ祭司のところに行って、自分を見せなさい。そして人々へのあかしのため、モーセが命じたように、あなたのきよめの供え物をしなさい。」
And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
15 しかし、イエスのうわさは、ますます広まり、多くの人の群れが、話を聞きに、また、病気を直してもらいに集まって来た。
But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 しかし、イエスご自身は、よく荒野に退いて祈っておられた。
And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
17 ある日のこと、イエスが教えておられると、パリサイ人と律法の教師たちも、そこにすわっていた。彼らは、ガリラヤとユダヤとのすべての村々や、エルサレムから来ていた。イエスは、主の御力をもって、病気を直しておられた。
And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of YHWH was present to heal them.
18 するとそこに、男たちが、中風をわずらっている人を、床のままで運んで来た。そして、何とかして家の中に運び込み、イエスの前に置こうとしていた。
And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 しかし、大ぜい人がいて、どうにも病人を運び込む方法が見つからないので、屋上に上って屋根の瓦をはがし、そこから彼の寝床を、ちょうど人々の真中のイエスの前に、つり降ろした。
And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Yahushua.
20 彼らの信仰を見て、イエスは「友よ。あなたの罪は赦されました。」と言われた。
And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 ところが、律法学者、パリサイ人たちは、理屈を言い始めた。「神をけがすことを言うこの人は、いったい何者だ。神のほかに、だれが罪を赦すことができよう。」
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but Elohim alone?
22 その理屈を見抜いておられたイエスは、彼らに言われた。「なぜ、心の中でそんな理屈を言っているのか。
But when Yahushua perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 『あなたの罪は赦された。』と言うのと、『起きて歩け。』と言うのと、どちらがやさしいか。
Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
24 人の子が地上で罪を赦す権威を持っていることを、あなたがたに悟らせるために。」と言って、中風の人に、「あなたに命じる。起きなさい。寝床をたたんで、家に帰りなさい。」と言われた。
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy, ) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 すると彼は、たちどころに人々の前で立ち上がり、寝ていた床をたたんで、神をあがめながら自分の家に帰った。
And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying YHWH.
26 人々はみな、ひどく驚き、神をあがめ、恐れに満たされて、「私たちは、きょう、驚くべきことを見た。」と言った。
And they were all amazed, and they glorified YHWH, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
27 この後、イエスは出て行き、収税所にすわっているレビという取税人に目を留めて、「わたしについて来なさい。」と言われた。
And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
28 するとレビは、何もかも捨て、立ち上がってイエスに従った。
And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
29 そこでレビは、自分の家でイエスのために大ぶるまいをしたが、取税人たちや、ほかに大ぜいの人たちが食卓に着いていた。
And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
30 すると、パリサイ人やその派の律法学者たちが、イエスの弟子たちに向かって、つぶやいて言った。「なぜ、あなたがたは、取税人や罪人どもといっしょに飲み食いするのですか。」
But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
31 そこで、イエスは答えて言われた。「医者を必要とするのは丈夫な者ではなく、病人です。
And Yahushua answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32 わたしは正しい人を招くためではなく、罪人を招いて、悔い改めさせるために来たのです。」
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
33 彼らはイエスに言った。「ヨハネの弟子たちは、よく断食をしており、祈りもしています。また、パリサイ人の弟子たちも同じなのに、あなたの弟子たちは食べたり飲んだりしています。」
And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
34 イエスは彼らに言われた。「花婿がいっしょにいるのに、花婿につき添う友だちに断食させることが、あなたがたにできますか。
And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35 しかし、やがてその時が来て、花婿が取り去られたら、その日には彼らは断食します。」
But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
36 イエスはまた一つのたとえを彼らに話された。「だれも、新しい着物から布切れを引き裂いて、古い着物に継ぎをするようなことはしません。そんなことをすれば、その新しい着物を裂くことになるし、また新しいのを引き裂いた継ぎ切れも、古い物には合わないのです。
And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
37 また、だれも新しいぶどう酒を古い皮袋に入れるようなことはしません。そんなことをすれば、新しいぶどう酒は皮袋を張り裂き、ぶどう酒は流れ出て、皮袋もだめになってしまいます。
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
38 新しいぶどう酒は新しい皮袋に入れなければなりません。
But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
39 また、だれでも古いぶどう酒を飲んでから、新しい物を望みはしません。『古い物は良い。』と言うのです。」
No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
