ルカの福音書 19
1 それからイエスは、エリコにはいって、町をお通りになった。
And Yahushua entered and passed through Jericho.
2 ここには、ザアカイという人がいたが、彼は取税人のかしらで、金持ちであった。
And, behold, there was a man named Zacchehu, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 彼は、イエスがどんな方か見ようとしたが、背が低かったので、群衆のために見ることができなかった。
And he sought to see Yahushua who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 それで、イエスを見るために、前方に走り出て、いちじく桑の木に登った。ちょうどイエスがそこを通り過ぎようとしておられたからである。
And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 イエスは、ちょうどそこに来られて、上を見上げて彼に言われた。「ザアカイ。急いで降りて来なさい。きょうは、あなたの家に泊まることにしてあるから。」
And when Yahushua came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchehu, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 ザアカイは、急いで降りて来て、そして大喜びでイエスを迎えた。
And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 これを見て、みなは、「あの方は罪人のところに行って客となられた。」と言ってつぶやいた。
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8 ところがザアカイは立って、主に言った。「主よ。ご覧ください。私の財産の半分を貧しい人たちに施します。また、だれからでも、私がだまし取った物は、四倍にして返します。」
And Zacchehu stood, and said unto Yahushua; Behold, Rabbi, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 イエスは、彼に言われた。「きょう、救いがこの家に来ました。この人もアブラハムの子なのですから。
And Yahushua said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10 人の子は、失われた人を捜して救うために来たのです。」
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 人々がこれらのことに耳を傾けているとき、イエスは、続けて一つのたとえを話された。それは、イエスがエルサレムに近づいておられ、そのため人々は神の国がすぐにでも現われるように思っていたからである。
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of YHWH should immediately appear.
12 それで、イエスはこう言われた。 「ある身分の高い人が、遠い国に行った。王位を受けて帰るためであった。
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 彼は自分の十人のしもべを呼んで、十ミナを与え、彼らに言った。『私が帰るまで、これで商売しなさい。』
And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 しかし、その国民たちは、彼を憎んでいたので、あとから使いをやり、『この人に、私たちの王にはなってもらいたくありません。』と言った。
But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 さて、彼が王位を受けて帰って来たとき、金を与えておいたしもべたちがどんな商売をしたかを知ろうと思い、彼らを呼び出すように言いつけた。
And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 さて、最初の者が現われて言った。『ご主人さま。あなたの一ミナで、十ミナをもうけました。』
Then came the first, saying, Master, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 主人は彼に言った。『よくやった。良いしもべだ。あなたはほんの小さな事にも忠実だったから、十の町を支配する者になりなさい。』
And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 二番目の者が来て言った。『ご主人さま。あなたの一ミナで、五ミナをもうけました。』
And the second came, saying, Master, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 主人はこの者にも言った。『あなたも五つの町を治めなさい。』
And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 もうひとりが来て言った。『ご主人さま。さあ、ここにあなたの一ミナがございます。私はふろしきに包んでしまっておきました。
And another came, saying, Master, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 あなたは計算の細かい、きびしい方ですから、恐ろしゅうございました。あなたはお預けにならなかったものをも取り立て、お蒔きにならなかったものをも刈り取る方ですから。』
For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 主人はそのしもべに言った。『悪いしもべだ。私はあなたのことばによって、あなたをさばこう。あなたは、私が預けなかったものを取り立て、蒔かなかったものを刈り取るきびしい人間だと知っていた、というのか。
And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 だったら、なぜ私の金を銀行に預けておかなかったのか。そうすれば私は帰って来たときに、それを利息といっしょに受け取れたはずだ。』
Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 そして、そばに立っていた者たちに言った。『その一ミナを彼から取り上げて、十ミナ持っている人にやりなさい。』
And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 すると彼らは、『ご主人さま。その人は十ミナも持っています。』と言った。
( And they said unto him, Master, he hath ten pounds.)
26 彼は言った。『あなたがたに言うが、だれでも持っている者は、さらに与えられ、持たない者からは、持っている物までも取り上げられるのです。
For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 ただ、私が王になるのを望まなかったこの敵どもは、みなここに連れて来て、私の目の前で殺してしまえ。』」
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
28 これらのことを話して後、イエスは、さらに進んで、エルサレムへと上って行かれた。
And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
29 オリーブという山のふもとのベテパゲとベタニヤに近づかれたとき、イエスはふたりの弟子を使いに出して、
And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30 言われた。「向こうの村に行きなさい。そこにはいると、まだだれも乗ったことのない、ろばの子がつないであるのに気がつくでしょう。それをほどいて連れて来なさい。
Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
31 もし、『なぜ、ほどくのか。』と尋ねる人があったら、こう言いなさい。『主がお入用なのです。』」
And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Rabbi hath need of him.
32 使いに出されたふたりが行って見ると、イエスが話されたとおりであった。
And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
33 彼らがろばの子をほどいていると、その持ち主が、「なぜ、このろばの子をほどくのか。」と彼らに言った。
And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
34 弟子たちは、「主がお入用なのです。」と言った。
And they said, the Rabbi hath need of him.
35 そしてふたりは、それをイエスのもとに連れて来た。そして、そのろばの子の上に自分たちの上着を敷いて、イエスをお乗せした。
And they brought him to Yahushua: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Yahushua thereon.
36 イエスが進んで行かれると、人々は道に自分たちの上着を敷いた。
And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
37 イエスがすでにオリーブ山のふもとに近づかれたとき、弟子たちの群れはみな、自分たちの見たすべての力あるわざのことで、喜んで大声に神を賛美し始め、
And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise YHWH with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 こう言った。 「祝福あれ。 主の御名によって来られる王に。 天には平和。 栄光は、いと高き所に。」
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of YHWH: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 するとパリサイ人のうちのある者たちが、群衆の中から、イエスに向かって、「先生。お弟子たちをしかってください。」と言った。
And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 イエスは答えて言われた。「わたしは、あなたがたに言います。もしこの人たちが黙れば、石が叫びます。」
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41 エルサレムに近くなったころ、都を見られたイエスは、その都のために泣いて、
And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 言われた。「おまえも、もし、この日のうちに、平和のことを知っていたのなら。しかし今は、そのことがおまえの目から隠されている。
Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 やがておまえの敵が、おまえに対して塁を築き、回りを取り巻き、四方から攻め寄せ、
For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 そしておまえとその中の子どもたちを地にたたきつけ、おまえの中で、一つの石もほかの石の上に積まれたままでは残されない日が、やって来る。それはおまえが、神の訪れの時を知らなかったからだ。」
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
45 宮にはいられたイエスは、商売人たちを追い出し始め、
And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46 こう言われた。「『わたしの家は、祈りの家でなければならない。』と書いてある。それなのに、あなたがたはそれを強盗の巣にした。」
Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
47 イエスは毎日、宮で教えておられた。祭司長、律法学者、民のおもだった者たちは、イエスを殺そうとねらっていたが、
And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48 どうしてよいかわからなかった。民衆がみな、熱心にイエスの話に耳を傾けていたからである。
And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
