ヨハネの福音書 17
1 イエスはこれらのことを話してから、目を天に向けて、言われた。「父よ。時が来ました。あなたの子があなたの栄光を現わすために、子の栄光を現わしてください。
These things spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said: My Father, the hour is come: glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee.
As thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that he might give life eternal to as many as thou hast given him. (aiōnios g166)
And this is life eternal, that they may know thee, that thou art the only true God, and whom thou hast sent, Jesus Messiah. (aiōnios g166)
4 あなたがわたしに行なわせるためにお与えになったわざを、わたしは成し遂げて、地上であなたの栄光を現わしました。
I have glorified thee on the earth; the work which thou gavest me to do, I have finished.
5 今は、父よ、みそばで、わたしを栄光で輝かせてください。世界が存在する前に、ごいっしょにいて持っていましたあの栄光で輝かせてください。
And now, my Father, glorify thou me, with that glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 わたしは、あなたが世から取り出してわたしに下さった人々に、あなたの御名を明らかにしました。彼らはあなたのものであって、あなたは彼らをわたしに下さいました。彼らはあなたのみことばを守りました。
I have made known thy name to the men, whom thou gavest me from the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
7 いま彼らは、あなたがわたしに下さったものはみな、あなたから出ていることを知っています。
Now I have known, that whatever thou hast given me, was from thee.
8 それは、あなたがわたしに下さったみことばを、わたしが彼らに与えたからです。彼らはそれを受け入れ、わたしがあなたから出て来たことを確かに知り、また、あなたがわたしを遣わされたことを信じました。
For, the words thou gavest to me, I have given to them; and they have received them, and have known certainly, that I came from thy presence; and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 わたしは彼らのためにお願いします。世のためにではなく、あなたがわたしに下さった者たちのためにです。なぜなら彼らはあなたのものだからです。
And I pray for them; it is not for the world that I pray, but for them whom thou hast given me, for they are thine.
10 わたしのものはみなあなたのもの、あなたのものはわたしのものです。そして、わたしは彼らによって栄光を受けました。
And all that is mine is thine, and what is thine is mine; and I am glorified in them.
11 わたしはもう世にいなくなります。彼らは世におりますが、わたしはあなたのみもとにまいります。聖なる父。あなたがわたしに下さっているあなたの御名の中に、彼らを保ってください。それはわたしたちと同様に、彼らが一つとなるためです。
Henceforth I am not in the world; but these are in the world, and I go to thee. Holy Father, keep them in that thy name, which thou hast given to me; that they may be one, as we are.
12 わたしは彼らといっしょにいたとき、あなたがわたしに下さっている御名の中に彼らを保ち、また守りました。彼らのうちだれも滅びた者はなく、ただ滅びの子が滅びました。それは、聖書が成就するためです。
While I have been with them in the world, I have kept them in thy name. Those thou gavest me, have I kept; and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 わたしは今みもとにまいります。わたしは彼らの中でわたしの喜びが全うされるために、世にあってこれらのことを話しているのです。
But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that my joy may be complete in them.
14 わたしは彼らにあなたのみことばを与えました。しかし、世は彼らを憎みました。わたしがこの世のものでないように、彼らもこの世のものでないからです。
I have given them thy word: and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 彼らをこの世から取り去ってくださるようにというのではなく、悪い者から守ってくださるようにお願いします。
I pray not, that thou wouldst take them out of the world, but that thou wouldst keep them from evil:
16 わたしがこの世のものでないように、彼らもこの世のものではありません。
for they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 真理によって彼らを聖別してください。あなたのみことばは真理です。
Father, sanctify them by thy truth, thy word is the truth.
18 あなたがわたしを世に遣わされたように、わたしも彼らを世に遣わしました。
As thou didst send me into the world, so have I also sent them into the world.
19 わたしは、彼らのため、わたし自身を聖別します。彼ら自身も真理によって聖別されるためです。
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
20 わたしは、ただこの人々のためだけでなく、彼らのことばによってわたしを信じる人々のためにもお願いします。
And it is not for them only that I pray, but also for those who shall believe in me through their discourse;
21 それは、父よ、あなたがわたしにおられ、わたしがあなたにいるように、彼らがみな一つとなるためです。また、彼らもわたしたちにおるようになるためです。そのことによって、あなたがわたしを遣わされたことを、世が信じるためなのです。
that they all may be one; as thou, my Father, art in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us; so that the world may believe, that thou didst send me.
22 またわたしは、あなたがわたしに下さった栄光を、彼らに与えました。それは、わたしたちが一つであるように、彼らも一つであるためです。
And the glory which thou gavest me, I have given them; that they may be one, as we are one.
23 わたしは彼らにおり、あなたはわたしにおられます。それは、彼らが全うされて一つとなるためです。それは、あなたがわたしを遣わされたことと、あなたがわたしを愛されたように彼らをも愛されたこととを、この世が知るためです。
I in them, and thou in me; that they may be perfected into one; and that the world may know that thou didst send me, and that thou hast loved them as also thou hast loved me.
24 父よ。お願いします。あなたがわたしに下さったものをわたしのいる所にわたしといっしょにおらせてください。あなたがわたしを世の始まる前から愛しておられたためにわたしに下さったわたしの栄光を、彼らが見るようになるためです。
Father, I desire that those whom thou hast given me, may also be with me where I am; that they may see that glory of mine which thou hast given me, as thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25 正しい父よ。この世はあなたを知りません。しかし、わたしはあなたを知っています。また、この人々は、あなたがわたしを遣わされたことを知りました。
My righteous Father, the world hath not known thee; but I have known thee, and these have known, that thou didst send me.
26 そして、わたしは彼らにあなたの御名を知らせました。また、これからも知らせます。それは、あなたがわたしを愛してくださったその愛が彼らの中にあり、またわたしが彼らの中にいるためです。」
And I have made known to them thy name; and I will make it known; so that the love, with which thou lovedst me, may be in them, and I in them.
