ヘブル人への手紙 1
1 神は、むかし先祖たちに、預言者たちを通して、多くの部分に分け、また、いろいろな方法で語られましたが、
God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. (aiōn g165)
3 御子は神の栄光の輝き、また神の本質の完全な現われであり、その力あるみことばによって万物を保っておられます。また、罪のきよめを成し遂げて、すぐれて高い所の大能者の右の座に着かれました。
His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
4 御子は、御使いたちよりもさらにすぐれた御名を相続されたように、それだけ御使いよりもまさるものとなられました。
having become as much better than the angels as the more excellent name he has inherited is better than theirs.
5 神は、かつてどの御使いに向かって、こう言われたでしょう。 「あなたは、わたしの子。 きょう、わたしがあなたを生んだ。」 またさらに、 「わたしは彼の父となり、 彼はわたしの子となる。」
For to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father?” and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”
6 さらに、長子をこの世界にお送りになるとき、こう言われました。 「神の御使いはみな、彼を拝め。」
When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”
7 また御使いについては、 「神は、御使いたちを風とし、 仕える者たちを炎とされる。」 と言われましたが、
Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.”
But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom. (aiōn g165)
9 あなたは義を愛し、不正を憎まれます。 それゆえ、神よ。あなたの神は、 あふれるばかりの喜びの油を、 あなたとともに立つ者にまして、 あなたに注ぎなさいました。」
You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
10 またこう言われます。 「主よ。あなたは、初めに 地の基を据えられました。 天も、あなたの御手のわざです。
And, “You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands.
11 これらのものは滅びます。 しかし、あなたはいつまでもながらえられます。 すべてのものは着物のように古びます。
They will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does.
12 あなたはこれらを、外套のように巻かれます。 これらを、着物のように取り替えられます。 しかし、あなたは変わることがなく、 あなたの年は尽きることがありません。」
You will roll them up like a mantle, and they will be changed; but you are the same. Your years won’t fail.”
13 神は、かつてどの御使いに向かって、こう言われたでしょう。 「わたしがあなたの敵を あなたの足台とするまでは、 わたしの右の座に着いていなさい。」
But which of the angels has he told at any time, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”
14 御使いはみな、仕える霊であって、救いの相続者となる人々に仕えるため遣わされたのではありませんか。
Aren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
