ヘブル人への手紙 10

1 律法には、後に来るすばらしいものの影はあっても、その実物はないのですから、律法は、年ごとに絶えずささげられる同じいけにえによって神に近づいて来る人々を、完全にすることができないのです。

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2 もしそれができたのであったら、礼拝する人々は、一度きよめられた者として、もはや罪を意識しなかったはずであり、したがって、ささげ物をすることは、やんだはずです。

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 ところがかえって、これらのささげ物によって、罪が年ごとに思い出されるのです。

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 雄牛とやぎの血は、罪を除くことができません。

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 ですから、キリストは、この世界に来て、こう言われるのです。 「あなたは、いけにえやささげ物を望まないで、 わたしのために、からだを造ってくださいました。

Wherefore when he comes into the world, he says, Sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body have you prepared me:

6 あなたは全焼のいけにえと 罪のためのいけにえとで 満足されませんでした。

In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure.

7 そこでわたしは言いました。 『さあ、わたしは来ました。 聖書のある巻に、 わたしについてしるされているとおり、 神よ、あなたのみこころを行なうために。』」

Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me, ) to do your will, O God.

8 すなわち、初めには、「あなたは、いけにえとささげ物、全焼のいけにえと罪のためのいけにえ（すなわち、律法に従ってささげられる、いろいろの物）を望まず、またそれらで満足されませんでした。」と言い、

Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin you would not, neither had pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 また、「さあ、わたしはあなたのみこころを行なうために来ました。」と言われたのです。後者が立てられるために、前者が廃止されるのです。

Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 このみこころに従って、イエス・キリストのからだが、ただ一度だけささげられたことにより、私たちはきよめられたものとされているのです。

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 また、すべて祭司は毎日立って礼拝の務めをなし、同じいけにえをくり返しささげますが、それらは決して罪を除き去ることができません。

And every priest stands daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 しかし、キリストは、罪のために一つの永遠のいけにえをささげて後、神の右の座に着き、

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

13 それからは、その敵がご自分の足台となるのを待っておられるのです。

From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

14 キリストはきよめられる人々を、一つのささげ物によって、永遠に全うされたのです。

For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

15 聖霊も私たちに次のように言って、あかしされます。

Whereof the Holy Spirit (pneuma) also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16 「それらの日の後、わたしが、 彼らと結ぼうとしている契約は、これであると、 主は言われる。 わたしは、わたしの律法を彼らの心に置き、 彼らの思いに書きつける。」 またこう言われます。

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 「わたしは、もはや決して彼らの罪と不法とを思い出すことはしない。」

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 これらのことが赦されるところでは、罪のためのささげ物はもはや無用です。

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19 こういうわけですから、兄弟たち。私たちは、イエスの血によって、大胆にまことの聖所にはいることができるのです。

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 イエスはご自分の肉体という垂れ幕を通して、私たちのためにこの新しい生ける道を設けてくださったのです。

By a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 また、私たちには、神の家をつかさどる、この偉大な祭司があります。

And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 そのようなわけで、私たちは、心に血の注ぎを受けて邪悪な良心をきよめられ、からだをきよい水で洗われたのですから、全き信仰をもって、真心から神に近づこうではありませんか。

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 約束された方は真実な方ですから、私たちは動揺しないで、しっかりと希望を告白しようではありませんか。

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; )

24 また、互いに勧め合って、愛と善行を促すように注意し合おうではありませんか。

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love (agape) and to good works:

25 ある人々のように、いっしょに集まることをやめたりしないで、かえって励まし合い、かの日が近づいているのを見て、ますますそうしようではありませんか。

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as all of you see the day approaching.

26 もし私たちが、真理の知識を受けて後、ことさらに罪を犯し続けるならば、罪のためのいけにえは、もはや残されていません。

For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,

27 ただ、さばきと、逆らう人たちを焼き尽くす激しい火とを、恐れながら待つよりほかはないのです。

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 だれでもモーセの律法を無視する者は、二、三の証人のことばに基づいて、あわれみを受けることなく死刑に処せられます。

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 まして、神の御子を踏みつけ、自分をきよめた契約の血を汚れたものとみなし、恵みの御霊を侮る者は、どんなに重い処罰に値するか、考えてみなさい。

Of how much greater punishment, suppose all of you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit (pneuma) of grace?

30 私たちは、「復讐はわたしのすることである。わたしが報いをする。」、また、「主がその民をさばかれる。」と言われる方を知っています。

For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense, says the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 生ける神の手の中に陥ることは恐ろしいことです。

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 あなたがたは、光に照らされて後、苦難に会いながら激しい戦いに耐えた初めのころを、思い起こしなさい。

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after all of you were illuminated, all of you endured a great fight of afflictions;

33 人々の目の前で、そしりと苦しみとを受けた者もあれば、このようなめに会った人々の仲間になった者もありました。

Partly, whilst all of you were made a gazing-stock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst all of you became companions of them that were so used.

34 あなたがたは、捕えられている人々を思いやり、また、もっとすぐれた、いつまでも残る財産を持っていることを知っていたので、自分の財産が奪われても、喜んで忍びました。

For all of you had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that all of you have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

35 ですから、あなたがたの確信を投げ捨ててはなりません。それは大きな報いをもたらすものなのです。

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompence of reward.

36 あなたがたが神のみこころを行なって、約束のものを手に入れるために必要なのは忍耐です。

For all of you have need of patience, that, after all of you have done the will of God, all of you might receive the promise.

37 「もうしばらくすれば、 来るべき方が来られる。おそくなることはない。

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

38 わたしの義人は信仰によって生きる。 もし、恐れ退くなら、 わたしのこころは彼を喜ばない。」

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

39 私たちは、恐れ退いて滅びる者ではなく、信じていのちを保つ者です。

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
