テモテへの手紙第二 4
1 神の御前で、また、生きている人と死んだ人とをさばかれるキリスト・イエスの御前で、その現われとその御国を思って、私はおごそかに命じます。
I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom:
2 みことばを宣べ伝えなさい。時が良くても悪くてもしっかりやりなさい。寛容を尽くし、絶えず教えながら、責め、戒め、また勧めなさい。
Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine.
3 というのは、人々が健全な教えに耳を貸そうとせず、自分につごうの良いことを言ってもらうために、気ままな願いをもって、次々に教師たちを自分たちのために寄せ集め、
For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears:
4 真理から耳をそむけ、空想話にそれて行くような時代になるからです。
And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables.
5 しかし、あなたは、どのようなばあいにも慎み、困難に耐え、伝道者として働き、自分の務めを十分に果たしなさい。
But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober.
6 私は今や注ぎの供え物となります。私が世を去る時はすでに来ました。
For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand.
7 私は勇敢に戦い、走るべき道のりを走り終え、信仰を守り通しました。
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
8 今からは、義の栄冠が私のために用意されているだけです。かの日には、正しい審判者である主が、それを私に授けてくださるのです。私だけでなく、主の現われを慕っている者には、だれにでも授けてくださるのです。
As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming.
9 あなたは、何とかして、早く私のところに来てください。
Make haste to come to me quickly.
For Demas hath left me, loving this world, and is gone to Thessalonica: Crescens into Galatia, Titus into Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)
11 ルカだけは私とともにおります。マルコを伴って、いっしょに来てください。彼は私の務めのために役に立つからです。
Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
12 私はテキコをエペソに遣わしました。
But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
13 あなたが来るときは、トロアスでカルポのところに残しておいた上着を持って来てください。また、書物を、特に羊皮紙の物を持って来てください。
The cloak that I left at Troas, with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, especially the parchments.
14 銅細工人のアレキサンデルが私をひどく苦しめました。そのしわざに応じて主が彼に報いられます。
Alexander the coppersmith hath done me much evil: the Lord will reward him according to his works:
15 あなたも彼を警戒しなさい。彼は私たちのことばに激しく逆らったからです。
Whom do thou also avoid, for he hath greatly withstood our words.
16 私の最初の弁明の際には、私を支持する者はだれもなく、みな私を見捨ててしまいました。どうか、彼らがそのためにさばかれることのありませんように。
At my first answer no man stood with me, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge.
17 しかし、主は、私とともに立ち、私に力を与えてくださいました。それは、私を通してみことばが余すところなく宣べ伝えられ、すべての国の人々がみことばを聞くようになるためでした。私はししの口から助け出されました。
But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching may be accomplished, and that all the Gentiles may hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
The Lord hath delivered me from every evil work: and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)

Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
20 エラストはコリントにとどまり、トロピモは病気のためにミレトに残して来ました。
Erastus remained at Corinth. And Trophimus I left sick at Miletus.
21 何とかして、冬になる前に来てください。ユブロ、プデス、リノス、クラウデヤ、またすべての兄弟たちが、あなたによろしくと言っています。
Make haste to come before winter Eubulus and Pudens, and Linus and Claudia, and all the brethren, salute thee.
22 主があなたの霊とともにおられますように。恵みが、あなたがたとともにありますように。
The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
