テモテへの手紙第二 3
1 終わりの日には困難な時代がやって来ることをよく承知しておきなさい。
This know also, that in the last days dangerous times shall come.
2 そのときに人々は、自分を愛する者、金を愛する者、大言壮語する者、不遜な者、神をけがす者、両親に従わない者、感謝することを知らない者、汚れた者になり、
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 情け知らずの者、和解しない者、そしる者、節制のない者、粗暴な者、善を好まない者になり、
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 裏切る者、向こう見ずな者、慢心する者、神よりも快楽を愛する者になり、
Traitors, rebellious, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 敬虔のかたちをしていても、その実を否定する者になるからです。こういう人々を避けなさい。
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 こういう人々の中には、家々にはいり込み、愚かな女たちをたぶらかしている者がいます。その女たちは、さまざまの情欲に引き回されて罪に罪を重ね、
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 いつも学んではいるが、いつになっても真理を知ることのできない者たちです。
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 また、こういう人々は、ちょうどヤンネとヤンブレがモーセに逆らったように、真理に逆らうのです。彼らは知性の腐った、信仰の失格者です。
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 でも、彼らはもうこれ以上に進むことはできません。彼らの愚かさは、あのふたりのばあいのように、すべての人にはっきりわかるからです。
But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
10 しかし、あなたは、私の教え、行動、計画、信仰、寛容、愛、忍耐に、
But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, (agape) patience,
11 またアンテオケ、イコニオム、ルステラで私にふりかかった迫害や苦難にも、よくついて来てくれました。何というひどい迫害に私は耐えて来たことでしょう。しかし、主はいっさいのことから私を救い出してくださいました。
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 確かに、キリスト・イエスにあって敬虔に生きようと願う者はみな、迫害を受けます。
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 しかし、悪人や詐欺師たちは、だましたりだまされたりしながら、ますます悪に落ちて行くのです。
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 けれどもあなたは、学んで確信したところにとどまっていなさい。あなたは自分が、どの人たちからそれを学んだかを知っており、
But continue you in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;
15 また、幼いころから聖書に親しんで来たことを知っているからです。聖書はあなたに知恵を与えてキリスト・イエスに対する信仰による救いを受けさせることができるのです。
And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 聖書はすべて、神の霊感によるもので、教えと戒めと矯正と義の訓練とのために有益です。
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 それは、神の人が、すべての良い働きのためにふさわしい十分に整えられた者となるためです。
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
