ペテロの手紙第二 2
1 しかし、イスラエルの中には、にせ預言者も出ました。同じように、あなたがたの中にも、にせ教師が現われるようになります。彼らは、滅びをもたらす異端をひそかに持ち込み、自分たちを買い取ってくださった主を否定するようなことさえして、自分たちの身にすみやかな滅びを招いています。
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Master that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 そして、多くの者が彼らの好色にならい、そのために真理の道がそしりを受けるのです。
And many shall follow their destructive ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 また彼らは、貪欲なので、作り事のことばをもってあなたがたを食い物にします。彼らに対するさばきは、昔から怠りなく行なわれており、彼らが滅ぼされないままでいることはありません。
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
For if YHWH spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to the abyss, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (Tartaroō g5020)
5 また、昔の世界を赦さず、義を宣べ伝えたノアたち八人の者を保護し、不敬虔な世界に洪水を起こされました。
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the wicked;
6 また、ソドムとゴモラの町を破滅に定めて灰にし、以後の不敬虔な者へのみせしめとされました。
And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live wicked;
7 また、無節操な者たちの好色なふるまいによって悩まされていた義人ロトを救い出されました。
And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 というのは、この義人は、彼らの間に住んでいましたが、不法な行ないを見聞きして、日々その正しい心を痛めていたからです。
(For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; )
9 これらのことでわかるように、主は、敬虔な者たちを誘惑から救い出し、不義な者どもを、さばきの日まで、懲罰のもとに置くことを心得ておられるのです。
YHWH knoweth how to deliver the reverent out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 汚れた情欲を燃やし、肉に従って歩み、権威を侮る者たちに対しては、特にそうなのです。彼らは、大胆不敵な、尊大な者たちで、栄誉ある人たちをそしって、恐れるところがありません。
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 それに比べると、御使いたちは、勢いにも力にもまさっているにもかかわらず、主の御前に彼らをそしって訴えることはしません。
Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before YHWH.
12 ところがこの者どもは、捕えられ殺されるために自然に生まれついた、理性のない動物と同じで、自分が知りもしないことをそしるのです。それで動物が滅ぼされるように、彼らも滅ぼされてしまうのです。
But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 彼らは不義の報いとして損害を受けるのです。彼らは昼のうちから飲み騒ぐことを楽しみと考えています。彼らは、しみや傷のようなもので、あなたがたといっしょに宴席に連なるときに自分たちのだましごとを楽しんでいるのです。
And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 その目は淫行に満ちており、罪に関しては飽くことを知らず、心の定まらない者たちを誘惑し、その心は欲に目がありません。彼らはのろいの子です。
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15 彼らは正しい道を捨ててさまよっています。不義の報酬を愛したベオルの子バラムの道に従ったのです。
Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 しかし、バラムは自分の罪をとがめられました。ものを言うことのないろばが、人間の声でものを言い、この預言者の気違いざたをはばんだのです。
But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17 この人たちは、水のない泉、突風に吹き払われる霧です。彼らに用意されているものは、まっ暗なやみです。
These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. (questioned)
18 彼らは、むなしい大言壮語を吐いており、誤った生き方をしていて、ようやくそれをのがれようとしている人々を肉欲と好色によって誘惑し、
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 その人たちに自由を約束しながら、自分自身が滅びの奴隷なのです。人はだれかに征服されれば、その征服者の奴隷となったのです。
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 主であり救い主であるイエス・キリストを知ることによって世の汚れからのがれ、その後再びそれに巻き込まれて征服されるなら、そのような人たちの終わりの状態は、初めの状態よりももっと悪いものとなります。
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Master and Saviour Yahushua the Messiah, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 義の道を知っていながら、自分に伝えられたそのきよい命令にそむくよりは、それを知らなかったほうが、彼らにとってよかったのです。
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 彼らに起こったことは、「犬は自分の吐いた物に戻る。」とか、「豚は身を洗って、またどろの中にころがる。」とかいう、ことわざどおりです。
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
