コリント人への手紙第二 9
1 聖徒たちのためのこの奉仕については、いまさら、あなたがたに書き送る必要はないでしょう。
For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2 私はあなたがたの熱意を知り、それについて、あなたがたのことをマケドニヤの人々に誇って、アカヤでは昨年から準備が進められていると言ったのです。こうして、あなたがたの熱心は、多くの人を奮起させました。
For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
3 私が兄弟たちを送ることにしたのは、このばあい、私たちがあなたがたについて誇ったことがむだにならず、私が言っていたとおりに準備していてもらうためです。
Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
4 そうでないと、もしマケドニヤの人が私といっしょに行って、準備ができていないのを見たら、あなたがたはもちろんですが、私たちも、このことを確信していただけに、恥をかくことになるでしょう。
Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we ( that we say not, ye ) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5 そこで私は、兄弟たちに勧めて、先にそちらに行かせ、前に約束したあなたがたの贈り物を前もって用意していただくことが必要だと思いました。どうか、この献金を、惜しみながらするのではなく、好意に満ちた贈り物として用意しておいてください。
Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6 私はこう考えます。少しだけ蒔く者は、少しだけ刈り取り、豊かに蒔く者は、豊かに刈り取ります。
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 ひとりひとり、いやいやながらでなく、強いられてでもなく、心で決めたとおりにしなさい。神は喜んで与える人を愛してくださいます。
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 神は、あなたがたを、常にすべてのことに満ち足りて、すべての良いわざにあふれる者とするために、あらゆる恵みをあふれるばかり与えることのできる方です。
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
( As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. (aiōn g165)
10 蒔く人に種と食べるパンを備えてくださる方は、あなたがたにも蒔く種を備え、それをふやし、あなたがたの義の実を増し加えてくださいます。
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; )
11 あなたがたは、あらゆる点で豊かになって、惜しみなく与えるようになり、それが私たちを通して、神への感謝を生み出すのです。
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 なぜなら、この奉仕のわざは、聖徒たちの必要を十分に満たすばかりでなく、神への多くの感謝を通して、満ちあふれるようになるからです。
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 このわざを証拠として、彼らは、あなたがたがキリストの福音の告白に対して従順であり、彼らに、またすべての人々に惜しみなく与えていることを知って、神をあがめることでしょう。
Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 また彼らは、あなたがたのために祈るとき、あなたがたに与えられた絶大な神の恵みのゆえに、あなたがたを慕うようになるのです。
And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
15 ことばに表わせないほどの賜物のゆえに、神に感謝します。
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
