コリント人への手紙第二 6
1 私たちは神とともに働く者として、あなたがたに懇願します。神の恵みをむだに受けないようにしてください。
But working together we indeed intreat you not to have received the grace of God in vain:
2 神は言われます。 「わたしは、恵みの時にあなたに答え、 救いの日にあなたを助けた。」 確かに、今は恵みの時、今は救いの日です。
(for he says, At a set time I heard you, and in the day of salvation I assisted you; behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation);
3 私たちは、この務めがそしられないために、どんなことにも人につまずきを与えないようにと、
giving no occasion of stumbling in anything, in order that the ministry may not be blamed;
4 あらゆることにおいて、自分を神のしもべとして推薦しているのです。すなわち非常な忍耐と、悩みと、苦しみと、嘆きの中で、
but in everything commending ourselves, as the ministers of God, in much patience, in tribulations, in straits, in difficulties,
5 また、むち打たれるときにも、入獄にも、暴動にも、労役にも、徹夜にも、断食にも、
in stripes, in prisons, in tumults, in labors, in vigils, in fastings;
6 また、純潔と知識と、寛容と親切と、聖霊と偽りのない愛と、
by purity, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 真理のことばと神の力とにより、また、左右の手に持っている義の武器により、
by the word of truth, by the power of God; through the arms of righteousness right and left,
8 また、ほめられたり、そしられたり、悪評を受けたり、好評を博したりすることによって、自分を神のしもべとして推薦しているのです。私たちは人をだます者のように見えても、真実であり、
through glory and dishonor, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, and true;
9 人に知られないようでも、よく知られ、死にそうでも、見よ、生きており、罰せられているようであっても、殺されず、
as being unknown, and perfectly known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 悲しんでいるようでも、いつも喜んでおり、貧しいようでも、多くの人を富ませ、何も持たないようでも、すべてのものを持っています。
as sorrowing, and always rejoicing; as poor, and making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.
11 コリントの人たち。私たちはあなたがたに包み隠すことなく話しました。私たちの心は広く開かれています。
Our mouth is open unto you, O Corinthians, our heart is enlarged.
12 あなたがたは、私たちの中で制約を受けているのではなく、自分の心で自分を窮屈にしているのです。
Be not straitened in reference to us, but be straitened in your own affections.
13 私は自分の子どもに対するように言います。それに報いて、あなたがたのほうでも心を広くしてください。
But as I speak to children, you indeed receive this reward.
14 不信者と、つり合わぬくびきをいっしょにつけてはいけません。正義と不法とに、どんなつながりがあるでしょう。光と暗やみとに、どんな交わりがあるでしょう。
Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what participation is there to righteousness and unrighteousness? or what fellowship has light unto darkness?
15 キリストとベリアルとに、何の調和があるでしょう。信者と不信者とに、何のかかわりがあるでしょう。
What concord of Christ unto Belial? or what part has a faithful man with an infidel?
16 神の宮と偶像とに、何の一致があるでしょう。私たちは生ける神の宮なのです。神はこう言われました。 「わたしは彼らの間に住み、また歩む。 わたしは彼らの神となり、 彼らはわたしの民となる。
And what harmony has the temple of God with idols? for we are the temple of the living God; as God said; I will live in them, and walk about among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 それゆえ、彼らの中から出て行き、 彼らと分離せよ、と主は言われる。 汚れたものに触れないようにせよ。 そうすれば、わたしはあなたがたを受け入れ、
Therefore come out from the midst of them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 わたしはあなたがたの父となり、 あなたがたはわたしの息子、娘となる、 と全能の主が言われる。」
and I will be to you for a Father, and you shall be unto me for sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
