ルカの福音書 3
1 第一款 洗者ヨハネの先駆 チベリオ、セザルの在位の十五年、ポンシオ、ピラトはユデアの総督たり、ヘロデはガリレア分國の王たり、其兄弟フィリッポはイチュレア及トラコニト地方分國の王たり、リサニアはアビリナ分國の王たり、
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Yehuda, and Herod being tetrarch of Galila, and his brother Philipus tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachona, and Lusania tetrarch of Avilina,
2 アンナとカイファとは司祭長たりし時、ザカリアの子ヨハネ、荒野に在りて主の御言を蒙り、
in the high priesthood of Khanan and Qayapha, the word of God came to Yukhanan, the son of Zekharya, in the wilderness.
3 ヨルダン[河]の全地方を巡りて、罪の赦を得させん為に、改心の洗禮を宣傳へたり。
He came into all the region around the Yurdinan, preaching a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
4 預言者イザヤの言の書に録して「荒野に呼はる者の聲ありて曰く、汝等主の道を備へ、其徑を直くせよ。
As it is written in the scroll of the words of Eshaya the prophet, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way of the Lord. Make his roads straight.
5 凡ての谷は填められ、凡ての山丘は坦され、曲れるは直くせられ、険しき處は平なる路となり、
Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be made low, and the crooked will be made straight, and the rough ways smooth.
6 人皆神の救を見ん」とあるに違はず。
And all humanity will see the salvation of God.'"
7 然てヨハネ、己に洗せられんとて出來れる群衆に云ひけるは、蝮の裔よ、來るべき怒を遁るる事を、誰か汝等に教へしぞ。
He said therefore to the crowds who went out to be baptized by him, "You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 然れば改心の相當なる果を結べよ。又我等の父にアブラハム在りと云はんとすること勿れ。蓋我汝等に告ぐ、神は是等の石よりアブラハムの為に子等を起すことを得給ふ。
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say among yourselves, 'We have Avraham for our father;' for I tell you that God is able to raise up children to Avraham from these stones.
9 既に斧樹の根に置かれたり。故に総て善き果を結ばざる樹は、伐られて火に投入れらるべし、と。
Even now the axe also lies at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire."
10 群衆ヨハネに問ひて、然らば我等何を為すべきぞ、と云ひければ、
The crowds asked him, "What then must we do?"
11 彼答へて、二枚の肌着を有てる人は有たぬ人に與へよ、食物を有てる人も同じ様にせよ、と云ひ居たり。
He answered them, "He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise."
12 又税吏ありて、洗せられんとて來り、師よ、我等何を為すべきぞ、と云ひしかば、
Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, "Teacher, what must we do?"
13 ヨハネ彼等に向ひ、汝等は定まりたる物の外、何をも取ること勿れ、と云へり。
He said to them, "Collect no more than that which is appointed to you."
14 兵卒も亦之に問ひて、我等は何を為すべきぞ、と云へば、ヨハネ彼等に向ひ、汝等は、誰をも悩ますこと勿れ、又讒訴すること勿れ、己が給料を以て足れりとせよ、と云へり。
Soldiers also asked him, saying, "What about us? What must we do?" He said to them, "Extort from no one by violence, neither accuse anyone wrongfully. Be content with your wages."
15 人民は待佗びて、ヨハネを或はキリストならんと、皆心に推量りつつありければ、
As the people were in expectation, and all were wondering in their hearts concerning Yukhanan, whether perhaps he was the Meshikha,
16 ヨハネ答へて人々に云ひけるは、實に我は水にて汝等を洗す、然れど我に優りて力或もの将に來らんとす、我は其履の紐を解くにも足らず。彼は聖霊と火とにて汝等を洗し給ふべし。
Yukhanan answered them all, "I indeed baptize you with water, but he comes who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to loosen. He will baptize you with the Rukha d'Qudsha and with fire,
17 彼の手に箕ありて其禾場を潔め、麦は倉に収め、殻は滅えざる火にて焼き給ふべし、と。
whose winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor, and to gather the wheat into his barn; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
18 ヨハネ尚多くの事を人に教へて、福音を宣べ居たり。
Then with many other exhortations he preached good news to the people,
19 然れど分國の王ヘロデ、其兄弟の妻ヘロヂァデの事に就き、又自ら為せる凡ての惡事に就きてヨハネに諌められければ、
but Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodia, his brother's wife, and for all the evil things which Herod had done,
20 諸の惡事に今一を加へてヨハネを監獄に閉籠めたりき。
added this also to them all, that he shut up Yukhanan in prison.
21 第二款 イエズス自身の準備 人民挙りて洗せらるる時、イエズスも洗せられて祈り給ふに、天開け、
Now it happened, when all the people were baptized, Yeshua also had been baptized, and was praying. The sky was opened,
22 聖霊形に顕れて、鴿の如くイエズスの上に降り給ひ、又天より聲して、汝は我愛子なり、我汝によりて心を安んぜり、と曰へり。
and the Rukha d'Qudsha descended in a bodily form as a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying "You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased."
23 イエズス齢凡三十にして[聖役を]始め給ひ、人にはヨセフの子と思はれ居給ひしが、ヨセフの父はヘリ、其父はマタト、
When he began, Yeshua was about thirty years old, being the son, as was supposed, of Yauseph, of Heli,
24 其父はレヴィ、其父はメルキ、其父はヤンネ、其父はヨゼフ、
of Matathath, of Lewi, of Malki, of Yanai, of Yauseph,
25 其父はマタチヤ、其父はアモス、其父はナホム、其父はヘスリ、其父はナッゲ、
of Matta, of Amus, of Nakhum, of Khesli, of Nagi,
26 其父はマハト、其父はマタチヤ、其父はセメイ、其父はヨゼフ、其父はユダ、
of Math, of Matath, of Shamey, of Yauseph, of Yehudah,
27 其父はヨハンナ、其父はレサ、其父はゾロバベル、其父はサラチエル、其父はネリ、
of Yoanan, of Rhesa, of Zurbabel, of Shelatheil, of Niri,
28 其父はメルキ、其父はアッヂ、其父はコサン、其父はエルマダン、其父はヘル、
of Malki, of Adi, of Cosam, of Elmodam, of Ear,
29 其父はイエズ、其父はエリエゼル、其父はヨリム、其父はマタト、其父はレヴィ、
of Yausi, of Eliazar, of Yuram, of Mathitha, of Lewi,
30 其父はシメオン、其父はユダ、其父はヨセフ、其父はヨナ、其父はエリヤキム、
of Shimon, of Yehudah, of Yauseph, of Yunan, of Eliyaqim,
31 其父はメレヤ、其父はメンナ、其父はマタタ、其父はナタン、其父はダヴィド、
of Melea, of Mani, of Mattha, of Nathan, of Dawid,
32 其父はイエッセ、其父はオベド、其父はボオズ、其父はサルモン、其父はナアッソン、
of Ishai, of Euvid, of Baaz, of Salmun, of Nakhshun,
33 其父はアミナダブ、其父はアラム、其父はエスロン、其父はファレス、其父はユダ、
of Aminadav, of Aram, of Khesrun, of Partz, of Yehudah,
34 其父はヤコブ、其父はイザアク、其父はアブラハム、其父はタレ、其父はナコル、
of Yaquv, of Iskhaq, of Avraham, of Tarakh, of Nakhur,
35 其父はサルグ、其父はラガウ、其父はファレグ、其父はヘベル、其父はサレ、
of Sarug, of Aruw, of Palag, of Auvar, of Shelakh,
36 其父はカイナン、其父はアルファクサド、其父はセム、其父はノエ、其父はラメク、
of Qeynan, of Arphakshad, of Shim, of Nukh, of Lamek,
37 其父はマチュサレ、其父はエノク、其父はヤレド、其父はマラレエル、其父はカイナン、
of Mathushelakh, of Khenuk, of Yared, of Mahlalayel, of Qeynan,
38 其父はヘノス、其父はセト、其父はアダム、其父は神なり。
of Anush, of Shaeth, of Adom, of God.
