ゼカリヤ書 6
1 わたしがまた目をあげて見ていると、四両の戦車が二つの山の間から出てきた。その山は青銅の山であった。
And I turned, and lifted up my eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
2 第一の戦車には赤馬を着け、第二の戦車には黒馬を着け、
In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
3 第三の戦車には白馬を着け、第四の戦車には、まだらのねずみ色の馬を着けていた。
And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot spotted and bay horses.
4 わたしは、わたしと語るみ使に尋ねた、「わが主よ、これらはなんですか」。
Then I answered and said to the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
5 天の使は答えて、わたしに言った、「これらは全地の主の前に現れて後、天の四方に出て行くものです。
And the angel answered and said to me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the LORD of all the earth.
6 黒馬を着けた戦車は、北の国をさして出て行き、白馬は西の国をさして出て行き、まだらの馬は南の国をさして出て行くのです」。
The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the spotted go forth toward the south country.
7 馬が出てくると、彼らは、地をあまねくめぐるために、しきりに出たがるのであった。それで彼が「行って、地をあまねくめぐれ」と言うと、彼らは地を行きめぐった。
And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
8 すると彼はわたしを呼んで、「北の国をさして行く者どもは、北の国でわたしの心を静まらせてくれた」と言った。
Then cried he on me, and spoke to me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
9 主の言葉がまたわたしに臨んだ、
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
10 「バビロンから帰ってきたかの捕囚の中から、ヘルダイ、トビヤおよびエダヤを連れて、その日にゼパニヤの子ヨシヤの家に行き、
Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come you the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
11 彼らから金銀を受け取って、一つの冠を造り、それをヨザダクの子である大祭司ヨシュアの頭にかぶらせて、
Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them on the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
12 彼に言いなさい、『万軍の主は、こう仰せられる、見よ、その名を枝という人がある。彼は自分の場所で成長して、主の宮を建てる。
And speak to him, saying, Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
13 すなわち彼は主の宮を建て、王としての光栄を帯び、その位に座して治める。その位のかたわらに、ひとりの祭司がいて、このふたりの間に平和の一致がある』。
Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
14 またその冠はヘルダイ、トビヤ、エダヤおよびゼパニヤの子ヨシヤの記念として、主の宮に納められる。
And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
15 また遠い所の者どもが来て、主の宮を建てることを助ける。そしてあなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをつかわされたことを知るようになる。あなたがたがもし励んで、あなたがたの神、主の声に聞き従うならば、このようになる」。
And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
