ゼカリヤ書 4
1 わたしと語った天の使がまた来て、わたしを呼びさました。わたしは眠りから呼びさまされた人のようであった。
And once more the messenger who was speaking with me, roused me up, just as a man might be roused up out of his sleep.
2 彼がわたしに向かって「何を見るか」と言ったので、わたしは言った、「わたしが見ていると、すべて金で造られた燭台が一つあって、その上に油を入れる器があり、また燭台の上に七つのともしび皿があり、そのともしび皿は燭台の上にあって、これにおのおの七本ずつの管があります。
Then said he unto me, What canst thou see? And I said—I have looked, and lo! a Lampstand—all of gold, with the Bowl thereof upon the top thereof, and its Seven Lamps upon it, Seven Pipes each, to the lamps which are upon the top thereof;
3 また燭台のかたわらに、オリブの木が二本あって、一本は油をいれる器の右にあり、一本はその左にあります」。
and, Two Olive-trees, by it, —one upon the right hand of the bowl, and one upon the left hand thereof.
4 わたしはまたわたしと語る天の使に言った、「わが主よ、これらはなんですか」。
Then responded I, and said unto the messenger who was speaking with me, saying, —What are these, my lord?
5 わたしと語る天の使は答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、わたしは「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。
Then answered the messenger who was speaking with me, and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these, are? And I said, No my lord.
6 すると彼はわたしに言った、「ゼルバベルに、主がお告げになる言葉はこれです。万軍の主は仰せられる、これは権勢によらず、能力によらず、わたしの霊によるのである。
Then responded he, and spake unto me, saying, This, is the word of Yahweh, unto Zerubbabel, saying, —Not by wealth, nor by strength, but by my spirit, saith Yahweh of hosts.
7 大いなる山よ、おまえは何者か。おまえはゼルバベルの前に平地となる。彼は『恵みあれ、これに恵みあれ』と呼ばわりながら、かしら石を引き出すであろう」。
Who, art, thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel, [brought down] to a plain! So shall he bring forth the headstone, with thundering shouts Beautiful! Beautiful! thereunto.
8 主の言葉がわたしに臨んで言うには、
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
9 「ゼルバベルの手はこの宮の礎をすえた。彼の手はこれを完成する。その時あなたがたは万軍の主が、わたしをあなたがたにつかわされたことを知る。
The hands of Zerubbabel, have founded this house, and, his hands, shall finish it, —So shalt thou know that, Yahweh of hosts, hath sent me unto you.
10 だれでも小さい事の日をいやしめた者は、ゼルバベルの手に、下げ振りのあるのを見て、喜ぶ。これらの七つのものは、あまねく全地を行き来する主の目である」。
For who hath despised the day of small things? Yet shall they rejoice, when they see the plummet-stone in the hand of Zerubbabel, —these seven! The eyes of Yahweh, they are—running to and fro throughout all the earth.
11 わたしはまた彼に尋ねて、「燭台の左右にある、この二本のオリブの木はなんですか」と言い、
Then responded I, and said unto him, —What are these two olive-trees, upon the right of the lampstand, and upon the left thereof?
12 重ねてまた「この二本の金の管によって、油をそれから注ぎ出すオリブの二枝はなんですか」と言うと、
And I responded a second time, and said unto him, —What are the two branches of the olive- trees which join the two golden tubes, which empty out of them the golden oil?
13 彼はわたしに答えて、「あなたはそれがなんであるか知らないのですか」と言ったので、「わが主よ、知りません」と言った。
And he spake unto me, saying, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
14 すると彼は言った、「これらはふたりの油そそがれた者で、全地の主のかたわらに立つ者です」。
Then said he, These, are the two Anointed Ones, —who stand near the Lord of all the earth.
