ゼカリヤ書 11
1 レバノンよ、おまえの門を開き、おまえの香柏を火に焼き滅ぼさせよ。
Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
2 いとすぎよ、泣き叫べ。香柏は倒れ、みごとな木は、そこなわれたからである。バシャンのかしよ、泣き叫べ。茂った林は倒れたからである。
Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.
3 聞け、牧者の泣き叫ぶ声を。彼らの栄えが消え去ったからである。聞け、ししのほえる声を。ヨルダンの草むらが荒れ果てたからである。
There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.
4 わが神、主はこう仰せられた、「ほふらるべき羊の群れの牧者となれ。
Thus saith YHWH my Elohim; Feed the flock of the slaughter;
5 これを買う者は、これをほふっても罰せられない。これを売る者は言う、『主はほむべきかな、わたしは富んだ』と。そしてその牧者は、これをあわれまない。
Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be YHWH; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.
6 わたしは、もはやこの地の住民をあわれまないと、主は言われる。見よ、わたしは人をおのおのその牧者の手に渡し、おのおのその王の手に渡す。彼らは地を荒す。わたしは彼らの手からこれを救い出さない」。
For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith YHWH: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them
7 わたしは羊の商人のために、ほふらるべき羊の群れの牧者となった。わたしは二本のつえを取り、その一本を恵みと名づけ、一本を結びと名づけて、その羊を牧した。
And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
8 わたしは一か月に牧者三人を滅ぼした。わたしは彼らに、がまんしきれなくなったが、彼らもまた、わたしを忌みきらった。
Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.
9 それでわたしは言った、「わたしはあなたがたの牧者とならない。死ぬ者は死に、滅びる者は滅び、残った者はたがいにその肉を食いあうがよい」。
Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
10 わたしは恵みというつえを取って、これを折った。これはわたしがもろもろの民と結んだ契約を、廃するためであった。
And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it assunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.
11 そしてこれは、その日に廃された。そこで、わたしに目を注いでいた羊の商人らは、これが主の言葉であったことを知った。
And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of YHWH.
12 わたしは彼らに向かって、「あなたがたがもし、よいと思うならば、わたしに賃銀を払いなさい。もし、いけなければやめなさい」と言ったので、彼らはわたしの賃銀として、銀三十シケルを量った。
And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
13 主はわたしに言われた、「彼らによって、わたしが値積られたその尊い価を、宮のさいせん箱に投げ入れよ」。わたしは銀三十シケルを取って、これを主の宮のさいせん箱に投げ入れた。
And YHWH said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of YHWH.
14 そしてわたしは結びという第二のつえを折った。これはユダとイスラエルの間の、兄弟関係を廃するためであった。
Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 主はわたしに言われた、「おまえはまた愚かな牧者の器を取れ。
And YHWH said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
16 見よ、わたしは地にひとりの牧者を起す。彼は滅ぼされる者を顧みず、迷える者を尋ねず、傷ついた者をいやさず、健やかな者を養わず、肥えた者の肉を食らい、そのひずめをさえ裂く者である。
For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
17 その羊の群れを捨てる愚かな牧者はわざわいだ。どうか、つるぎがその腕を撃ち、その右の目を撃つように。その腕は全く衰え、その右の目は全く見えなくなるように」。
Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
