ヨハネの黙示録 20

1 またわたしが見ていると、ひとりの御使が、底知れぬ所のかぎと大きな鎖とを手に持って、天から降りてきた。 (Abyssos g12)

And I saw an Angel, descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the abyss and a great chain. (Abyssos g12)

2 彼は、悪魔でありサタンである龍、すなわち、かの年を経たへびを捕えて千年の間つなぎおき、

And he apprehended the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and he bound him for a thousand years.

3 そして、底知れぬ所に投げ込み、入口を閉じてその上に封印し、千年の期間が終るまで、諸国民を惑わすことがないようにしておいた。その後、しばらくの間だけ解放されることになっていた。 (Abyssos g12)

And he cast him into the abyss, and he closed and sealed it, so that he would no longer seduce the nations, until the thousand years are completed. And after these things, he must be released for a brief time. (Abyssos g12)

4 また見ていると、かず多くの座があり、その上に人々がすわっていた。そして、彼らにさばきの権が与えられていた。また、イエスのあかしをし神の言を伝えたために首を切られた人々の霊がそこにおり、また、獣をもその像をも拝まず、その刻印を額や手に受けることをしなかった人々がいた。彼らは生きかえって、キリストと共に千年の間、支配した。

And I saw thrones. And they sat upon them. And judgment was given to them. And the souls of those beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the Word of God, and who did not adore the beast, nor his image, nor accept his character on their foreheads or on their hands: they lived and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 （それ以外の死人は、千年の期間が終るまで生きかえらなかった。）これが第一の復活である。

The rest of the dead did not live, until the thousand years are completed. This is the First Resurrection.

6 この第一の復活にあずかる者は、さいわいな者であり、また聖なる者である。この人たちに対しては、第二の死はなんの力もない。彼らは神とキリストとの祭司となり、キリストと共に千年の間、支配する。

Blessed and holy is he who takes part in the First Resurrection. Over these the second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him for a thousand years.

7 千年の期間が終ると、サタンはその獄から解放される。

And when the thousand years will have been completed, Satan shall be released from his prison,

8 そして、出て行き、地の四方にいる諸国民、すなわちゴグ、マゴグを惑わし、彼らを戦いのために召集する。その数は、海の砂のように多い。

and he will go out and seduce the nations which are upon the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog. And he will gather them together for battle, those whose number is like the sand of the sea.

9 彼らは地上の広い所に上ってきて、聖徒たちの陣営と愛されていた都とを包囲した。すると、天から火が下ってきて、彼らを焼き尽した。

And they climbed across the breadth of the earth, and they encompassed the camp of the Saints and the Beloved City. And fire from God descended from heaven and devoured them.

10 そして、彼らを惑わした悪魔は、火と硫黄との池に投げ込まれた。そこには、獣もにせ預言者もいて、彼らは世々限りなく日夜、苦しめられるのである。 (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and sulphur, where both the beast and the false prophetess shall be tortured, day and night, forever and ever. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

11 また見ていると、大きな白い御座があり、そこにいますかたがあった。天も地も御顔の前から逃げ去って、あとかたもなくなった。

And I saw a great white throne, and One sitting upon it, from whose sight earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them.

12 また、死んでいた者が、大いなる者も小さき者も共に、御座の前に立っているのが見えた。かずかずの書物が開かれたが、もう一つの書物が開かれた。これはいのちの書であった。死人はそのしわざに応じ、この書物に書かれていることにしたがって、さばかれた。

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in view of the throne. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by those things that had been written in the books, according to their works.

13 海はその中にいる死人を出し、死も黄泉もその中にいる死人を出し、そして、おのおのそのしわざに応じて、さばきを受けた。 (Hadēs g86)

And the sea gave up the dead who were in it. And death and Hell gave up their dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. (Hadēs g86)

14 それから、死も黄泉も火の池に投げ込まれた。この火の池が第二の死である。 (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And Hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

15 このいのちの書に名がしるされていない者はみな、火の池に投げ込まれた。 (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the pool of fire. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
