1 聖歌隊の指揮者によってマハラテ・レアノテのしらべにあわせてうたわせたコラの子の歌、さんび。エズラびとヘマンのマスキールの歌 わが神、主よ、わたしは昼、助けを呼び求め、夜、み前に叫び求めます。
A song of a Psalm for the sons of Core for the end, upon Maeleth for responsive [strains], of instruction for Aeman the Israelite. O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried by day and in the night before you.
2 わたしの祈をみ前にいたらせ、わたしの叫びに耳を傾けてください。
Let my prayer come in before you; incline your ear to my supplication, O Lord.
For my soul is filled with troubles, and my life has drawn near to Hades. (Sheol h7585)
4 わたしは穴に下る者のうちに数えられ、力のない人のようになりました。
I have been reckoned with them that go down to the pit; I became as a man without help;
5 すなわち死人のうちに捨てられた者のように、墓に横たわる殺された者のように、あなたが再び心にとめられない者のようになりました。彼らはあなたのみ手から断ち滅ぼされた者です。
free amongst the dead, as the slain ones cast out, who sleep in the tomb; whom you remember no more; and they are rejected from your hand.
6 あなたはわたしを深い穴、暗い所、深い淵に置かれました。
They laid me in the lowest pit, in dark [places], and in the shadow of death.
7 あなたの怒りはわたしの上に重く、あなたはもろもろの波をもってわたしを苦しめられました。 (セラ)
Your wrath has pressed heavily upon me, and you have brought upon me all your billows. (Pause)
8 あなたはわが知り人をわたしから遠ざけ、わたしを彼らの忌みきらう者とされました。わたしは閉じこめられて、のがれることはできません。
You have removed my acquaintance far from me; they have made me an abomination to themselves; I have been delivered up, and have not gone forth.
9 わたしの目は悲しみによって衰えました。主よ、わたしは日ごとにあなたを呼び、あなたにむかってわが両手を伸べました。
Mine eyes are dimmed from poverty; but I cried to you, O Lord, all the day; I spread forth my hands to you.
10 あなたは死んだ者のために奇跡を行われるでしょうか。なき人のたましいは起きあがってあなたをほめたたえるでしょうか。 (セラ)
Will you work wonders for the dead? or shall physicians raise [them] up, that they shall praise you?
11 あなたのいつくしみは墓のなかに、あなたのまことは滅びのなかに、宣べ伝えられるでしょうか。
Shall any one declare your mercy in the tomb? and your truth in destruction?
12 あなたの奇跡は暗やみに、あなたの義は忘れの国に知られるでしょうか。
Shall your wonders be known in darkness? and your righteousness in a forgotten land?
13 しかし主よ、わたしはあなたに呼ばわります。あしたに、わが祈をあなたのみ前にささげます。
But I cried to you, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent you.
14 主よ、なぜ、あなたはわたしを捨てられるのですか。なぜ、わたしにみ顔を隠されるのですか。
Therefore, O Lord, do you reject my prayer, [and] turn your face away from me?
15 わたしは若い時から苦しんで死ぬばかりです。あなたの脅しにあって衰えはてました。
I am poor and in troubles from my youth; and having been exalted, I was brought low and into despair.
16 あなたの激しい怒りがわたしを襲い、あなたの恐ろしい脅しがわたしを滅ぼしました。
Your wrath has passed over me; and your terrors have greatly disquieted me.
17 これらの事がひねもす大水のようにわたしをめぐり、わたしを全く取り巻きました。
They compassed me like water; all the day they beset me together.
18 あなたは愛する者と友とをわたしから遠ざけ、わたしの知り人を暗やみにおかれました。
You have put far from me [every] friend, and mine acquaintances because of [my] wretchedness.
