詩篇 64

1 聖歌隊の指揮者によってうたわせたダビデの歌 神よ、わたしが嘆き訴えるとき、わたしの声をお聞きください。敵の恐れからわたしの命をお守りください。

To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Hear, O God, my voice in my plaint; preserve my life from fear of the enemy:

2 わたしを隠して、悪を行う者のひそかなはかりごとから免れさせ、不義を行う者のはかりごとから免れさせてください。

Hide me from the secret counsel of evil-doers, from the tumultuous crowd of the workers of iniquity,

3 彼らはその舌をつるぎのようにとぎ、苦い言葉を矢のように放ち、

Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword, [and] have aimed their arrow, a bitter word;

4 隠れた所から罪なき者を射ようとする。にわかに彼を射て恐れることがない。

That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

5 彼らは悪い企てを固くたもち、共にはかり、ひそかにわなをかけて言う、「だれがわれらを見破ることができるか。

They encourage themselves in an evil matter, they concert to hide snares; they say, Who will see them?

6 だれがわれらの罪をたずね出すことができるか。われらは巧みに、はかりごとを考えめぐらしたのだ」と。人の内なる思いと心とは深い。

They devise iniquities: We have it ready, the plan is diligently sought out. And each one's inward [thought] and heart is deep.

7 しかし神は矢をもって彼らを射られる。彼らはにわかに傷をうけるであろう。

But God will shoot an arrow at them: suddenly are they wounded;

8 神は彼らの舌のゆえに彼らを滅ぼされる。彼らを見る者は皆そのこうべを振るであろう。

By their own tongue they are made to fall over one another: all that see them shall flee away.

9 その時すべての人は恐れ、神のみわざを宣べ伝え、そのなされた事を考えるであろう。

And all men shall fear, and shall declare God's doing; and they shall wisely consider his work.

10 正しい人は主にあって喜び、かつ主に寄り頼む。すべて心の直き者は誇ることができる。

The righteous shall rejoice in Jehovah, and trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
