詩篇 38

1 記念のためにうたったダビデの歌 主よ、あなたの憤りをもってわたしを責めず、激しい怒りをもってわたしを懲らさないでください。

O YHWH, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

2 あなたの矢がわたしに突き刺さり、あなたの手がわたしの上にくだりました。

For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

3 あなたの怒りによって、わたしの肉には全きところなく、わたしの罪によって、わたしの骨には健やかなところはありません。

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

4 わたしの不義はわたしの頭を越え、重荷のように重くて負うことができません。

For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

5 わたしの愚かによって、わたしの傷は悪臭を放ち、腐れただれました。

My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

6 わたしは折れかがんで、いたくうなだれ、ひねもす悲しんで歩くのです。

I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

7 わたしの腰はことごとく焼け、わたしの肉には全きところがありません。

For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 わたしは衰えはて、いたく打ちひしがれ、わたしの心の激しい騒ぎによってうめき叫びます。

I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

9 主よ、わたしのすべての願いはあなたに知られ、わたしの嘆きはあなたに隠れることはありません。

YHWH, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

10 わたしの胸は激しく打ち、わたしの力は衰え、わたしの目の光もまた、わたしを離れ去りました。

My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

11 わが友、わがともがらはわたしの災を見て離れて立ち、わが親族もまた遠く離れて立っています。

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

12 わたしのいのちを求める者はわなを設け、わたしをそこなおうとする者は滅ぼすことを語り、ひねもす欺くことをはかるのです。

They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

13 しかしわたしは耳しいのように聞かず、おしのように口を開きません。

But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

14 まことに、わたしは聞かない人のごとく、議論を口にしない人のようです。

Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

15 しかし、主よ、わたしはあなたを待ち望みます。わが神、主よ、あなたこそわたしに答えられるのです。

For in thee, O YHWH, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O YHWH my Elohim.

16 わたしは祈ります、「わが足のすべるとき、わたしにむかって高ぶる彼らにわたしのことによって喜ぶことをゆるさないでください」と。

For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

17 わたしは倒れるばかりになり、わたしの苦しみは常にわたしと共にあります。

For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

18 わたしは、みずから不義を言いあらわし、わが罪のために悲しみます。

For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

19 ゆえなく、わたしに敵する者は強く、偽ってわたしを憎む者は多いのです。

But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

20 悪をもって善に報いる者は、わたしがよい事に従うがゆえに、わがあだとなります。

They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

21 主よ、わたしを捨てないでください。わが神よ、わたしに遠ざからないでください。

Forsake me not, O YHWH: O my Elohim, be not far from me.

22 主、わが救よ、すみやかにわたしをお助けください。

Make haste to help me, O YHWH my salvation.
