詩篇 147
1 主をほめたたえよ。われらの神をほめうたうことはよいことである。主は恵みふかい。さんびはふさわしいことである。
Praise ye Jah! for it is good. Sing psalms of our God; for it is pleasant: praise is comely.
2 主はエルサレムを築き、イスラエルの追いやられた者を集められる。
Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth the outcasts of Israel.
3 主は心の打ち砕かれた者をいやし、その傷を包まれる。
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4 主はもろもろの星の数を定め、すべてそれに名を与えられる。
He counteth the number of the stars; he giveth names to them all.
5 われらの主は大いなる神、力も豊かであって、その知恵ははかりがたい。
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6 主はしえたげられた者をささえ、悪しき者を地に投げ捨てられる。
Jehovah lifteth up the meek; he abaseth the wicked to the earth.
7 主に感謝して歌え、琴にあわせてわれらの神をほめうたえ。
Sing unto Jehovah with thanksgiving; sing psalms upon the harp unto our God:
8 主は雲をもって天をおおい、地のために雨を備え、もろもろの山に草をはえさせ、
Who covereth the heavens with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains;
9 食物を獣に与え、また鳴く小がらすに与えられる。
Who giveth to the cattle their food, to the young ravens which cry.
10 主は馬の力を喜ばれず、人の足をよみせられない。
He delighteth not in the strength of the horse, he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man;
11 主はおのれを恐れる者とそのいつくしみを望む者とをよみせられる。
Jehovah taketh pleasure in those that fear him, in those that hope in his loving-kindness.
12 エルサレムよ、主をほめたたえよ。シオンよ、あなたの神をほめたたえよ。
Laud Jehovah, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13 主はあなたの門の貫の木を堅くし、あなたのうちにいる子らを祝福されるからである。
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee;
14 主はあなたの国境を安らかにし、最も良い麦をもってあなたを飽かせられる。
He maketh peace in thy borders; he satisfieth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15 主はその戒めを地に下される。そのみ言葉はすみやかに走る。
He sendeth forth his oracles to the earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16 主は雪を羊の毛のように降らせ、霜を灰のようにまかれる。
He giveth snow like wool, scattereth the hoar frost like ashes;
17 主は氷をパンくずのように投げうたれる。だれがその寒さに耐えることができましょうか。
He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18 主はみ言葉を下してこれを溶かし、その風を吹かせられると、もろもろの水は流れる。
He sendeth his word, and melteth them; he causeth his wind to blow — the waters flow.
19 主はそのみ言葉をヤコブに示し、そのもろもろの定めと、おきてとをイスラエルに示される。
He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
20 主はいずれの国民をも、このようにはあしらわれなかった。彼らは主のもろもろのおきてを知らない。主をほめたたえよ。
He hath not dealt thus with any nation; and as for [his] judgments, they have not known them. Hallelujah!
