詩篇 122

1 ダビデがよんだ都もうでの歌 人々がわたしにむかって「われらは主の家に行こう」と言ったとき、わたしは喜んだ。

A Song of Ascents; of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go unto the house of the LORD.

2 エルサレムよ、われらの足はあなたの門のうちに立っている。

Our feet are standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem;

3 しげくつらなった町のように建てられているエルサレムよ、

Jerusalem, that art builded as a city that is compact together:

4 もろもろの部族すなわち主の部族が、そこに上って来て主のみ名に感謝することは、イスラエルのおきてである。

Whither the tribes go up, even the tribes of the LORD [for] a testimony unto Israel, to give thanks into the name of the LORD.

5 そこにさばきの座、ダビデの家の王座が設けられてあった。

For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 エルサレムのために平安を祈れ、「エルサレムを愛する者は栄え、

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

7 その城壁のうちに平安があり、もろもろの殿のうちに安全があるように」と。

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

8 わが兄弟および友のために、わたしは「エルサレムのうちに平安があるように」と言い、

For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9 われらの神、主の家のために、わたしはエルサレムのさいわいを求めるであろう。

For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
