民数記 3
1 主がシナイ山で、モーセと語られた時の、アロンとモーセの一族は、次のとおりであった。
And these are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Jehovah spoke with Moses on mount Sinai.
2 アロンの子たちの名は、次のとおりである。長子はナダブ、次はアビウ、エレアザル、イタマル。
And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
3 これがアロンの子たちの名であって、彼らはみな油を注がれ、祭司の職に任じられて祭司となった。
These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, who were consecrated to exercise the priesthood.
4 ナダブとアビウとは、シナイの荒野において、異火を主の前にささげたので、主の前で死んだ。彼らには子供がなかった。そしてエレアザルとイタマルとが、父アロンの前で祭司の務をした。
And Nadab and Abihu died before Jehovah when they offered strange fire before Jehovah in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no sons; and Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood in the presence of Aaron their father.
5 主はまたモーセに言われた、
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
6 「レビの部族を召し寄せ、祭司アロンの前に立って仕えさせなさい。
Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him;
7 彼らは会見の幕屋の前にあって、アロンと全会衆のために、その務をし、幕屋の働きをしなければならない。
and they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole assembly, before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.
8 すなわち、彼らは会見の幕屋の、すべての器をまもり、イスラエルの人々のために務をし、幕屋の働きをしなければならない。
And they shall keep all the utensils of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
9 あなたはレビびとを、アロンとその子たちとに、与えなければならない。彼らはイスラエルの人々のうちから、全くアロンに与えられたものである。
And thou shalt give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given to him out of the children of Israel.
10 あなたはアロンとその子たちとを立てて、祭司の職を守らせなければならない。ほかの人で近づくものは殺されるであろう」。
And Aaron and his sons shalt thou appoint that they may attend to their priest's office; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.
11 主はまたモーセに言われた、
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
12 「わたしは、イスラエルの人々のうちの初めに生れたすべてのういごの代りに、レビびとをイスラエルの人々のうちから取るであろう。レビびとは、わたしのものとなるであろう。
And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every firstborn that breaketh open the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine;
13 ういごはすべてわたしのものだからである。わたしは、エジプトの国において、すべてのういごを撃ち殺した日に、イスラエルのういごを、人も獣も、ことごとく聖別して、わたしに帰せしめた。彼らはわたしのものとなるであろう。わたしは主である」。
for every firstborn is mine. On the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both of man and beast; mine shall they be: I am Jehovah.
14 主はまたシナイの荒野でモーセに言われた、
And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
15 「あなたはレビの子たちを、その父祖の家により、その氏族によって数えなさい。すなわち、一か月以上の男子を数えなければならない」。
Number the sons of Levi according to their fathers' houses, after their families; every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.
16 それでモーセは主の言葉にしたがって、命じられたとおりに、それを数えた。
And Moses numbered them, according to the commandment of Jehovah, — as he had been commanded.
17 レビの子たちの名は次のとおりである。すなわち、ゲルション、コハテ、メラリ。
And these are the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.
18 ゲルションの子たちの名は、その氏族によれば次のとおりである。すなわち、リブニ、シメイ。
And these are the names of the sons of Gershon according to their families: Libni and Shimei.
19 コハテの子たちは、その氏族によれば、アムラム、イヅハル、ヘブロン、ウジエル。
And the sons of Kohath according to their families: Amram and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.
20 メラリの子たちは、その氏族によれば、マヘリ、ムシ。これらはその父祖の家によるレビの氏族である。
And the sons of Merari according to their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.
21 ゲルションからリブニびとの氏族と、シメイびとの氏族とが出た。これらはゲルションびとの氏族である。
Of Gershon, the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimites: these are the families of the Gershonites.
22 その数えられた者、すなわち、一か月以上の男子の数は合わせて七千五百人であった。
Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, those that were numbered of them were seven thousand five hundred.
23 ゲルションびとの氏族は幕屋の後方、すなわち、西の方に宿営し、
The families of the Gershonites encamped behind the tabernacle westward.
24 ラエルの子エリアサフが、ゲルションびとの父祖の家のつかさとなるであろう。
And the prince of the father's house of the Gershonites was Eliasaph the son of Lael.
25 会見の幕屋の、ゲルションの子たちの務は、幕屋、天幕とそのおおい、会見の幕屋の入口のとばり、
And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting was: the tabernacle and the tent, its covering, and the curtain of the entrance to the tent of meeting.
26 庭のあげばり、幕屋と祭壇のまわりの庭の入口のとばり、そのひも、およびすべてそれに用いる物を守ることである。
And the hangings of the court, and the curtain of the entrance to the court, which surrounds the tabernacle and the altar, and the cords thereof for all its service.
27 また、コハテからアムラムびとの氏族、イヅハルびとの氏族、ヘブロンびとの氏族、ウジエルびとの氏族が出た。これらはコハテびとの氏族である。
And of Kohath, the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.
28 一か月以上の男子の数は、合わせて八千六百人であって、聖所の務を守る者たちである。
According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand six hundred, who kept the charge of the sanctuary.
29 コハテの子たちの氏族は、幕屋の南の方に宿営し、
The families of the sons of Kohath encamped on the side of the tabernacle southward.
30 ウジエルの子エリザパンが、コハテびとの氏族の父祖の家のつかさとなるであろう。
And the prince of the father's house of the families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
31 彼らの務は、契約の箱、机、燭台、二つの祭壇、聖所の務に用いる器、とばり、およびすべてそれに用いる物を守ることである。
And their charge was the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the utensils of the sanctuary with which they ministered, and the curtain, and all that belongs to its service.
32 祭司アロンの子エレアザルが、レビびとのつかさたちの長となり、聖所の務を守るものたちを監督するであろう。
And the prince of princes of the Levites was Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest: he had the oversight of them that kept the charge of the sanctuary.
33 メラリからマヘリびとの氏族と、ムシびとの氏族とが出た。これらはメラリの氏族である。
Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.
34 その数えられた者、すなわち、一か月以上の男子の数は、合わせて六千二百人であった。
And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand two hundred.
35 アビハイルの子ツリエルが、メラリの氏族の父祖の家のつかさとなるであろう。彼らは幕屋の北の方に宿営しなければならない。
And the prince of the father's house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They encamped on the side of the tabernacle northward.
36 メラリの子たちが、その務として管理すべきものは、幕屋の枠、その横木、その柱、その座、そのすべての器、およびそれに用いるすべての物、
And the charge of the sons of Merari consisted in the oversight of the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its bases, and all its furniture, and all that belongs to its service,
37 ならびに庭のまわりの柱とその座、その釘、およびそのひもである。
and the pillars of the court round about, and their bases, and their pegs, and their cords.
38 また幕屋の前、その東の方、すなわち、会見の幕屋の東の方に宿営する者は、モーセとアロン、およびアロンの子たちであって、イスラエルの人々の務に代って、聖所の務を守るものである。ほかの人で近づく者は殺されるであろう。
And those who encamped before the tabernacle eastward, before the tent of meeting toward the sunrising, were Moses, and Aaron and his sons, who kept the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.
39 モーセとアロンとが、主の言葉にしたがって数えたレビびとで、その氏族によって数えられた者、一か月以上の男子は、合わせて二万二千人であった。
All that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of Jehovah, according to their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty-two thousand.
40 主はまたモーセに言われた、「あなたは、イスラエルの人々のうち、すべてういごである男子の一か月以上のものを数えて、その名の数を調べなさい。
And Jehovah said to Moses, Number all the first-born males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
41 また主なるわたしのために、イスラエルの人々のうちの、すべてのういごの代りにレビびとを取り、またイスラエルの人々の家畜のうちの、すべてのういごの代りに、レビびとの家畜を取りなさい」。
And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am Jehovah) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites, instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.
42 そこでモーセは主の命じられたように、イスラエルの人々のうちの、すべてのういごを数えた。
And Moses numbered, as Jehovah had commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
43 その数えられたういごの男子、すべて一か月以上の者は、その名の数によると二万二千二百七十三人であった。
And all the firstborn males, by the number of the names, from a month old and upward, according to their numbering, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
44 主はモーセに言われた、
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
45 「あなたはイスラエルの人々のうちの、すべてのういごの代りに、レビびとを取り、また彼らの家畜の代りに、レビびとの家畜を取りなさい。レビびとはわたしのものとなる。わたしは主である。
Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am Jehovah.
46 またイスラエルの人々のういごは、レビびとの数を二百七十三人超過しているから、そのあがないのために、
And for those that are to be ransomed, the two hundred and seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are in excess over the Levites,
47 そのあたまかずによって、ひとりごとに銀五シケルを取らなければならない。すなわち、聖所のシケルにしたがって、それを取らなければならない。一シケルは二十ゲラである。
thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll, according to the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them, — twenty gerahs the shekel;
48 あなたは、その超過した者をあがなう金を、アロンと、その子たちに渡さなければならない」。
and thou shalt give the money unto Aaron and unto his sons for those in excess among them who are to be ransomed.
49 そこでモーセは、レビびとによってあがなわれた者を超過した人々から、あがないの金を取った。
And Moses took the ransom-money from them that were over and above those who were ransomed by the Levites;
50 すなわち、モーセは、イスラエルの人々のういごから、聖所のシケルにしたがって千三百六十五シケルの銀を取り、
of the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, a thousand three hundred and sixty-five [shekels], according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
51 そのあがないの金を、主の言葉にしたがって、アロンとその子たちに渡した。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。
And Moses gave the money of them that were ransomed to Aaron and to his sons, according to the commandment of Jehovah, — as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
