レビ記 5

1 もし人が証人に立ち、誓いの声を聞きながら、その見たこと、知っていることを言わないで、罪を犯すならば、彼はそのとがを負わなければならない。

And if any one sin, and hear the voice of adjuration, and he is a witness whether he hath seen or known [it], if he do not give information, then he shall bear his iniquity.

2 また、もし人が汚れた野獣の死体、汚れた家畜の死体、汚れた這うものの死体など、すべて汚れたものに触れるならば、そのことに気づかなくても、彼は汚れたものとなって、とがを得る。

Or if any one touch any unclean thing, whether it be the carcase of an unclean beast, or the carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of an unclean crawling thing, and it be hid from him, — he also is unclean and guilty;

3 また、もし彼が人の汚れに触れるならば、その人の汚れが、どのような汚れであれ、それに気づかなくても、彼がこれを知るようになった時は、とがを得る。

or if he touch the uncleanness of man, any uncleanness of him by which he is defiled, and it be hid from him, when he knoweth [it], then he is guilty.

4 また、もし人がみだりにくちびるで誓い、悪をなそう、または善をなそうと言うならば、その人が誓ってみだりに言ったことは、それがどんなことであれ、それに気づかなくても、彼がこれを知るようになった時は、これらの一つについて、とがを得る。

Or if any one swear, talking rashly with the lips, to do evil or to do good, in everything that a man shall say rashly with an oath, and it be hid from him, when he knoweth [it], then is he guilty in one of these.

5 もしこれらの一つについて、とがを得たときは、その罪を犯したことを告白し、

And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these, that he shall confess wherein he hath sinned;

6 その犯した罪のために償いとして、雌の家畜、すなわち雌の小羊または雌やぎを主のもとに連れてきて、罪祭としなければならない。こうして祭司は彼のために罪のあがないをするであろう。

and he shall bring his trespass-offering to Jehovah for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the small cattle, a sheep or doe goat, for a sin-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him [to cleanse him] from his sin.

7 もし小羊に手のとどかない時は、山ばと二羽か、家ばとのひな二羽かを、彼が犯した罪のために償いとして主に携えてきて、一羽を罪祭に、一羽を燔祭にしなければならない。

And if his hand be not able to bring what is so much as a sheep, then he shall bring for his trespass which he hath sinned two turtle-doves or two young pigeons, to Jehovah; one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering.

8 すなわち、これらを祭司に携えてきて、祭司はその罪祭のものを先にささげなければならない。すなわち、その頭を首の根のところで、摘み破らなければならない。ただし、切り離してはならない。

And he shall bring them unto the priest, who shall present that which is for the sin-offering first, and pinch off his head at the neck, but shall not divide it;

9 そしてその罪祭の血を祭壇の側面に注ぎ、残りの血は祭壇のもとに絞り出さなければならない。これは罪祭である。

and he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin-offering on the wall of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar: it is a sin-offering.

10 また第二のものは、定めにしたがって燔祭としなければならない。こうして、祭司が彼のためにその犯した罪のあがないをするならば、彼はゆるされるであろう。

And he shall offer the other for a burnt-offering, according to the ordinance. And the priest shall make atonement for him [to cleanse him] from his sin which he hath sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.

11 もし二羽の山ばとにも、二羽の家ばとのひなにも、手の届かないときは、彼の犯した罪のために、供え物として麦粉十分の一エパを携えてきて、これを罪祭としなければならない。ただし、その上に油をかけてはならない。またその上に乳香を添えてはならない。これは罪祭だからである。

But if his hand cannot attain to two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, then he that sinned shall bring for his offering the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin-offering: he shall put no oil on it, neither shall he put frankincense thereon; for it is a sin-offering.

12 彼はこれを祭司のもとに携えて行き、祭司は一握りを取って、記念の分とし、これを主にささげる火祭のように、祭壇の上で焼かなければならない。これは罪祭である。

And he shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, the memorial thereof, and burn it on the altar, with Jehovah's offerings by fire: it is a sin-offering.

13 こうして、祭司が彼のため、すなわち、彼がこれらの一つを犯した罪のために、あがないをするならば、彼はゆるされるであろう。そしてその残りは素祭と同じく、祭司に帰するであろう』」。

And the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he hath sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven him; and it shall be the priest's, as the oblation.

14 主はまたモーセに言われた、

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

15 「もし人が不正をなし、あやまって主の聖なる物について罪を犯したときは、その償いとして、あなたの値積りにしたがい、聖所のシケルで、銀数シケルに当る雄羊の全きものを、群れのうちから取り、それを主に携えてきて、愆祭としなければならない。

If any one act unfaithfully and sin through inadvertence in the holy things of Jehovah, then he shall bring his trespass-offering to Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the small cattle, according to thy valuation by shekels of silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass-offering.

16 そしてその聖なる物について犯した罪のために償いをし、またその五分の一をこれに加えて、祭司に渡さなければならない。こうして祭司がその愆祭の雄羊をもって、彼のためにあがないをするならば、彼はゆるされるであろう。

And he shall make restitution for the wrong that he hath done in the holy things, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and shall give it unto the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering, and it shall be forgiven him.

17 また人がもし罪を犯し、主のいましめにそむいて、してはならないことの一つをしたときは、たといそれを知らなくても、彼は罪を得、そのとがを負わなければならない。

And if any one sin and do against any of all the commandments of Jehovah what should not be done, and hath not known [it], yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

18 彼はあなたの値積りにしたがって、雄羊の全きものを群れのうちから取り、愆祭としてこれを祭司のもとに携えてこなければならない。こうして、祭司が彼のために、すなわち彼が知らないで、しかもあやまって犯した過失のために、あがないをするならば、彼はゆるされるであろう。

And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the small cattle, according to thy valuation, as trespass-offering, unto the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his inadvertence wherein he sinned inadvertently, and knew [it] not, and it shall be forgiven him.

19 これは愆祭である。彼は確かに主の前にとがを得たからである」。

It is a trespass-offering: he hath certainly trespassed against Jehovah.
