レビ記 18
1 主はまたモーセに言われた、
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 「イスラエルの人々に言いなさい、『わたしはあなたがたの神、主である。
Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, I [am] the LORD your God.
3 あなたがたの住んでいたエジプトの国の習慣を見習ってはならない。またわたしがあなたがたを導き入れるカナンの国の習慣を見習ってはならない。また彼らの定めに歩んではならない。
After the doings of the land of Egypt in which ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
4 わたしのおきてを行い、わたしの定めを守り、それに歩まなければならない。わたしはあなたがたの神、主である。
Ye shall perform my judgments, and keep my ordinances, to walk in them; I [am] the LORD your God.
5 あなたがたはわたしの定めとわたしのおきてを守らなければならない。もし人が、これを行うならば、これによって生きるであろう。わたしは主である。
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments: which if a man doeth, he shall live in them: I [am] the LORD.
6 あなたがたは、だれも、その肉親の者に近づいて、これを犯してはならない。わたしは主である。
None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover [their] nakedness: I am the LORD.
7 あなたの母を犯してはならない。それはあなたの父をはずかしめることだからである。彼女はあなたの母であるから、これを犯してはならない。
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she [is] thy mother, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8 あなたの父の妻を犯してはならない。それはあなたの父をはずかしめることだからである。
The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it [is] thy father's nakedness.
9 あなたの姉妹、すなわちあなたの父の娘にせよ、母の娘にせよ、家に生れたのと、よそに生れたのとを問わず、これを犯してはならない。
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, [whether] born at home, or born abroad, [even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
10 あなたのむすこの娘、あるいは、あなたの娘の娘を犯してはならない。それはあなた自身をはずかしめることだからである。
The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, [even] their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs [is] thy own nakedness.
11 あなたの父の妻があなたの父によって産んだ娘は、あなたの姉妹であるから、これを犯してはならない。
The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten by thy father, (she [is] thy sister) thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
12 あなたの父の姉妹を犯してはならない。彼女はあなたの父の肉親だからである。
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she [is] thy father's near kinswoman.
13 またあなたの母の姉妹を犯してはならない。彼女はあなたの母の肉親だからである。
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she [is] thy mother's near kinswoman.
14 あなたの父の兄弟の妻を犯し、父の兄弟をはずかしめてはならない。彼女はあなたのおばだからである。
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she [is] thy aunt.
15 あなたの嫁を犯してはならない。彼女はあなたのむすこの妻であるから、これを犯してはならない。
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law: she [is] thy son's wife, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
16 あなたの兄弟の妻を犯してはならない。それはあなたの兄弟をはずかしめることだからである。
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it [is] thy brother's nakedness.
17 あなたは女とその娘とを一緒に犯してはならない。またその女のむすこの娘、またはその娘の娘を取って、これを犯してはならない。彼らはあなたの肉親であるから、これは悪事である。
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; [for] they [are] her near kinswomen: it [is] wickedness.
18 あなたは妻のなお生きているうちにその姉妹を取って、同じく妻となし、これを犯してはならない。
Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex [her], to uncover her nakedness besides the other in her life -[time].
19 あなたは月のさわりの不浄にある女に近づいて、これを犯してはならない。
Also thou shalt not approach to a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
20 隣の妻と交わり、彼女によって身を汚してはならない。
Moreover, thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.
21 あなたの子どもをモレクにささげてはならない。またあなたの神の名を汚してはならない。わたしは主である。
And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I [am] the LORD.
22 あなたは女と寝るように男と寝てはならない。これは憎むべきことである。
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.
23 あなたは獣と交わり、これによって身を汚してはならない。また女も獣の前に立って、これと交わってはならない。これは道にはずれたことである。
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it [is] confusion.
24 あなたがたはこれらのもろもろの事によって身を汚してはならない。わたしがあなたがたの前から追い払う国々の人は、これらのもろもろの事によって汚れ、
Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25 その地もまた汚れている。ゆえに、わたしはその悪のためにこれを罰し、その地もまたその住民を吐き出すのである。
And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit its iniquity upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
26 ゆえに、あなたがたはわたしの定めとわたしのおきてを守り、これらのもろもろの憎むべき事の一つでも行ってはならない。国に生れた者も、あなたがたのうちに宿っている寄留者もそうである。
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit [any] of these abominations; [neither] any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you.
27 あなたがたの先にいたこの地の人々は、これらのもろもろの憎むべき事を行ったので、その地も汚れたからである。
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, who [were] before you, and the land is defiled; )
28 これは、あなたがたがこの地を汚して、この地があなたがたの先にいた民を吐き出したように、あなたがたをも吐き出すことのないためである。
That the land may not vomit you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nations that [were] before you.
29 これらのもろもろの憎むべき事の一つでも行う者があれば、これを行う人は、だれでもその民のうちから断たれるであろう。
For whoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit [them] shall be cut off from among their people.
30 それゆえに、あなたがたはわたしの言いつけを守り、先に行われたこれらの憎むべき風習の一つをも行ってはならない。またこれによって身を汚してはならない。わたしはあなたがたの神、主である』」。
Therefore shall ye keep my ordinance, that [ye] commit not [any one] of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves in them; I [am] the LORD your God.
