士師記 5
1 その日デボラとアビノアムの子バラクは歌って言った。
Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying,
2 「イスラエルの指導者たちは先に立ち、民は喜び勇んで進み出た。主をさんびせよ。
"Because the leaders took the lead in Israel, because the people offered themselves willingly, be blessed, LORD.
3 もろもろの王よ聞け、もろもろの君よ、耳を傾けよ。わたしは主に向かって歌おう、わたしはイスラエルの神、主をほめたたえよう。
"Hear, you kings. Give ear, you princes. I, even I, will sing to the LORD. I will sing praise to the LORD, the God of Israel.
4 主よ、あなたがセイルを出、エドムの地から進まれたとき、地は震い、天はしたたり、雲は水をしたたらせた。
"LORD, when you went forth out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, the sky also dropped. Yes, the clouds dropped water.
5 もろもろの山は主の前に揺り動き、シナイの主、すなわちイスラエルの神、主の前に揺り動いた。
The mountains quaked at the presence of the LORD, even Sinai, at the presence of the LORD, the God of Israel.
6 アナテの子シャムガルのとき、ヤエルの時には隊商は絶え、旅人はわき道をとおった。

7 イスラエルには農民が絶え、かれらは絶え果てたが、デボラよ、ついにあなたは立ちあがり、立ってイスラエルの母となった。

10 茶色のろばに乗るもの、毛氈の上にすわるもの、および道を歩むものよ、共に歌え。
"Speak, you who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on saddle blankets, and you who walk by the way.
11 楽人の調べは水くむ所に聞える。かれらはそこで主の救を唱え、イスラエルの農民の救を唱えている。その時、主の民は門に下って行った。

12 起きよ、起きよ、デボラ。起きよ、起きよ、歌をうたえ。立てよ、バラク、とりこを捕えよ、アビノアムの子よ。

13 その時、残った者は尊い者のように下って行き、主の民は勇士のように下って行った。

14 彼らはエフライムから出て谷に進み、兄弟ベニヤミンはあなたの民のうちにある。マキルからはつかさたちが下って行き、ゼブルンからは指揮を執るものが下って行った。
From Ephraim those who uprooted Amalek came out, following you, Benjamin, among your peoples; out of Makir leaders came down, and out of Zebulun those that handle the staff of office.
15 イッサカルの君たちはデボラと共におり、イッサカルはバラクと同じく、直ちにそのあとについて谷に突進した。しかしルベンの氏族は大いに思案した。
And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah. As was Issachar, so was Barak. They rushed into the valley at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben, there were great resolves of heart.
16 なぜ、あなたは、おりの間にとどまって、羊の群れに笛吹くのを聞いているのか。ルベンの氏族は大いに思案した。

17 ギレアデはヨルダンの向こうにとどまっていた。なぜ、ダンは舟のかたわらにとどまったか。アセルは浜べに座し、その波止場のかたわらにとどまっていた。
Gilead lived beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, and lived by his harbors.
18 ゼブルンは命をすてて、死を恐れぬ民である。野の高い所におるナフタリもまたそうであった。
Zebulun was a people that risked their lives even to death; Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.
19 もろもろの王たちはきて戦った。その時カナンの王たちは、メギドの水のほとりのタアナクで戦った。彼らは一片の銀をも獲なかった。
The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.
20 もろもろの星は天より戦い、その軌道をはなれてシセラと戦った。
From the sky the stars fought. From their courses, they fought against Sisera.
21 キションの川は彼らを押し流した、激しく流れる川、キションの川。わが魂よ、勇ましく進め。

22 その時、軍馬ははせ駆けり、馬のひずめは地を踏みならした。

23 主の使は言った、『メロズをのろえ、激しくその民をのろえ、彼らはきて主を助けず、主を助けて勇士を攻めなかったからである』。

25 シセラが水を求めると、ヤエルは乳を与えた。すなわち貴重な鉢に凝乳を盛ってささげた。
He asked for water. She gave him milk. She brought him curds in a princely bowl.
26 ヤエルはくぎに手をかけ、右手に重い槌をとって、シセラを打ち、その頭を砕き、粉々にして、そのこめかみを打ち貫いた。
She put her hand to the tent peg, and her right hand to the workmen's hammer. She struck Sisera, she pierced his head; she shattered and struck through his temple.
27 シセラはヤエルの足もとにかがんで倒れ伏し、その足もとにかがんで倒れ、そのかがんだ所に倒れて死んだ。
At her feet he collapsed, he fell, he lay. At her feet he collapsed, he fell. Where he collapsed, there he fell down, destroyed.
28 シセラの母は窓からながめ、格子窓から叫んで言った、『どうして彼の車の来るのがおそいのか、どうして彼の車の歩みがはかどらないのか』。

29 その侍女たちの賢い者は答え、母またみずからおのれに答えて言った、
Her wise princesses answered her; indeed, she answers herself,
30 『彼らは獲物を得て、それを分けているのではないか、人ごとにひとり、ふたりのおなごを取り、シセラの獲物は色染めの衣、縫い取りした色染めの衣の獲物であろう。すなわち縫い取りした色染めの衣二つを、獲物としてそのくびにまとうであろう』。
'Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A womb or two for every man; to Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, for the neck of the plunderer?'
31 主よ、あなたの敵はみなこのように滅び、あなたを愛する者を太陽の勢いよく上るようにしてください」。こうして後、国は四十年のあいだ太平であった。
So let all your enemies perish, LORD, but let those who love you be as the sun when it rises forth in its strength." And the land had rest forty years.
