ヨシュア記 13

1 さてヨシュアは年が進んで老いたが、主は彼に言われた、「あなたは年が進んで老いたが、取るべき地は、なお多く残っている。

And Joshua is old, entering into days, and YHWH says to him, “You have become aged, you have entered into days; as for the land, very much has been left to possess.

2 その残っている地は、次のとおりである。ペリシテびとの全地域、ゲシュルびとの全土、

This [is] the land that is left: all the circuits of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

3 エジプトの東のシホルから北にのびて、カナンびとに属するといわれるエクロンの境までの地、ペリシテびとの五人の君たちの地、すなわち、ガザ、アシドド、アシケロン、ガテ、およびエクロン。

from Sihor which [is] on the front of Egypt, and to the border of Ekron northward (it is reckoned to the Canaanite), five princes of the Philistines, the Gazathite, and the Ashdothite, the Eshkalonite, the Gittite, and the Ekronite, also the Avim;

4 南のアビびとの地、カナンびとの全地、シドンびとに属するメアラからアモリびとの境にあるアペクまでの部分。

from the south, all the land of the Canaanite, and Mearah, which [is] to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the border of the Amorite;

5 またヘルモン山のふもとのバアルガデからハマテの入口に至るゲバルびとの地、およびレバノンの東の全土。

and the land of the Giblite, and all Lebanon, at the sun-rising, from Ba‘al-Gad under Mount Hermon, to the going in to Hamath:

6 レバノンからミスレポテ・マイムまでの山地のすべての民、すなわちシドンびとの全土。わたしはみずから彼らをイスラエルの人々の前から追い払うであろう。わたしが命じたように、あなたはその地をイスラエルに分け与えて、嗣業とさせなければならない。

all the inhabitants of the hill-country, from Lebanon to Misrephoth-Maim, all the Sidonians: I dispossess them before the sons of Israel; only, cause it to fall to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.

7 すなわち、その地を九つの部族と、マナセの半部族とに分け与えて、嗣業とさせなければならない」。

And now, apportion this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and half of the tribe of Manasseh.”

8 マナセの他の半部族と共に、ルベンびとと、ガドびととは、ヨルダンの向こう側、東の方で、その嗣業をモーセから受けた。主のしもべモーセが、彼らに与えたのは、

With [the other half], the Reubenite and the Gadite have received their inheritance, which Moses has given to them beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses servant of YHWH has given to them;

9 アルノンの谷のほとりにあるアロエル、および谷の中にある町から、デボンとメデバの間にある高原のすべての地。

from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the Brook of Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba to Dihon,

10 ヘシボンで世を治めた、アモリびとの王シホンのすべての町々を含めて、アンモンの人々の境までの地。

and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the sons of Ammon,

11 ギレアデと、ゲシュルびと、ならびにマアカびとの領地、ヘルモン山の全土、サルカまでのバシャン全体。

and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurite, and of the Maachathite, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salcah;

12 アシタロテとエデレイで世を治めたバシャンの王オグの全国。オグはレパイムの生き残りであった。モーセはこれらを撃って、追い払った。

all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he was left of the remnant of the Rephaim, and Moses strikes them, and dispossesses them;

13 ただし、イスラエルの人々は、ゲシュルびとと、マアカびとを追い払わなかった。ゲシュルびとと、マアカびとは、今日までイスラエルのうちに住んでいる。

and the sons of Israel did not dispossess the Geshurite, and the Maachathite; and Geshur and Maachath dwell in the midst of Israel to this day.

14 ただレビの部族には、ヨシュアはなんの嗣業をも与えなかった。イスラエルの神、主の火祭が彼らの嗣業であるからである。主がヨシュアに言われたとおりである。

Only, he has not given an inheritance to the tribe of Levi; fire-offerings of YHWH, God of Israel, [are] its inheritance, as He has spoken to it.

15 モーセはルベンびとの部族に、その家族にしたがって嗣業を与えたが、

And Moses gives to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, for their families;

16 その領域はアルノンの谷のほとりにあるアロエル、および谷の中にある町からメデバのほとりのすべての高原、

and the border is to them from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the Brook of Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba,

17 ヘシボンおよびその高原のすべての町々、デボン、バモテ・バアル、ベテ・バアル・メオン、

Heshbon, and all its cities which [are] in the plain, Dibon, and Bamoth-Ba‘al, and Beth-Ba‘al-Meon,

18 ヤハヅ、ケデモテ、メパアテ、

and Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

19 キリアタイム、シブマ、谷の中の山にあるゼレテ・シャハル、

and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-Shahar, on the mountain of the valley,

20 ベテペオル、ピスガの山腹、ベテエシモテ、

and Beth-Peor, and the Springs of Pisgah, and Beth-Jeshimoth,

21 すなわち高原のすべての町々と、ヘシボンで世を治めたアモリびとの王シホンの全国に及んだ。モーセはシホンを、ミデアンのつかさたちエビ、レケム、ツル、ホルおよびレバと共に撃ち殺した。これらはみなシホンの諸侯であって、その地に住んでいた者である。

and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck, with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, princes of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.

22 イスラエルの人々はまたベオルの子、占い師バラムをもつるぎにかけて、そのほかに殺した者どもと共に殺した。

And the sons of Israel have slain Balaam, son of Beor, the diviner, with the sword, among their wounded ones.

23 ルベンびとの領域はヨルダンを境とした。これはルベンびとが、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と村々とを含む。

And the border of the sons of Reuben is the Jordan, and [its] border; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Reuben, for their families, the cities and their villages.

24 モーセはまたガドの部族、ガドの子孫にも、その家族にしたがって、嗣業を与えたが、

And Moses gives to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad, for their families;

25 その領域はヤゼル、ギレアデのすべての町々、アンモンびとの地の半ばで、ラバの東のアロエルまでの地。

and the border to them is Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half of the land of the sons of Ammon, to Aroer which [is] on the front of Rabbah,

26 ヘシボンからラマテ・ミゾパまでの地、およびベトニム、マハナイムからデビルの境までの地。

and from Heshbon to Ramath-Mispeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir,

27 谷の中ではベテハラム、ベテニムラ、スコテ、およびザポンなど、ヘシボンの王シホンの国の残りの部分。ヨルダンを境として、ヨルダンの東側、キンネレテの湖の南の端までの地。

and in the valley, Beth-Aram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and [its] border, to the extremity of the Sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan eastward.

28 これはガドびとが、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と村々とを含む。

This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Gad, for their families, the cities and their villages.

29 モーセはまたマナセの半部族にも、嗣業を与えたが、それはマナセの半部族が、その家族にしたがって与えられたものである。

And Moses gives to the half-tribe of Manasseh; and it is to the half-tribe of the sons of Manasseh, for their families.

30 その領域はマハナイムからバシャンの全土に及び、バシャンの王オグの全国、バシャンにあるヤイルのすべての町々、すなわちその六十の町。

And their border is from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the small towns of Jair, which [are] in Bashan—sixty cities;

31 またギレアデの半ば、バシャンのオグの国の町であるアシタロテとエデレイ。これらはマナセの子マキルの子孫に与えられた。すなわちマキルの子孫の半ばが、その家族にしたがって、それを獲た。

and half of Gilead, and Ashteroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [are] to the sons of Machir, son of Manasseh, to the half of the sons of Machir, for their families.

32 これらはヨルダンの向こう側、エリコの東のモアブの平野で、モーセが分け与えた嗣業である。

These [are] they whom Moses caused to inherit in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan, [by] Jericho, eastward;

33 ただし、レビの部族には、モーセはなんの嗣業をも与えなかった。イスラエルの神、主がその嗣業だからである。主がモーセに言われたとおりである。

and Moses did not give an inheritance to the tribe of Levi; YHWH, God of Israel, Himself, [is] their inheritance, as He has spoken to them.
