ヨブ 記 27

1 ヨブはまた言葉をついで言った、

Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

2 「神は生きておられる。彼はわたしの義を奪い去られた。全能者はわたしの魂を悩まされた。

As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath afflicted my soul;

3 わたしの息がわたしのうちにあり、神の息がわたしの鼻にある間、

All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

4 わたしのくちびるは不義を言わない、わたしの舌は偽りを語らない。

My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

5 わたしは断じて、あなたがたを正しいとは認めない。わたしは死ぬまで、潔白を主張してやめない。

Far be it from me that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove my integrity from me.

6 わたしは堅くわが義を保って捨てない。わたしは今まで一日も心に責められた事がない。

My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

7 どうか、わたしの敵は悪人のようになり、わたしに逆らう者は不義なる者のようになるように。

Let my enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

8 神が彼を断ち、その魂を抜きとられるとき、神を信じない者になんの望みがあろう。

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

9 災が彼に臨むとき、神はその叫びを聞かれるであろうか。

Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

10 彼は全能者を喜ぶであろうか、常に神を呼ぶであろうか。

Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

11 わたしは神のみ手についてあなたがたに教え、全能者と共にあるものを隠すことをしない。

I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

12 見よ、あなたがたは皆みずからこれを見た、それなのに、どうしてむなしい者となったのか。

Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?

13 これは悪人の神から受ける分、圧制者の全能者から受ける嗣業である。

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

14 その子らがふえればつるぎに渡され、その子孫は食物に飽きることがない。

If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

15 その生き残った者は疫病で死んで埋められ、そのやもめらは泣き悲しむことをしない。

Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.

16 たとい彼は銀をちりのように積み、衣服を土のように備えても、

Though he should heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

17 その備えるものは正しい人がこれを着、その銀は罪なき者が分かち取るであろう。

He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

18 彼の建てる家は、くもの巣のようであり、番人の造る小屋のようである。

He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.

19 彼は富める身で寝ても、再び富むことがなく、目を開けばその富はない。

The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.

20 恐ろしい事が大水のように彼を襲い、夜はつむじ風が彼を奪い去る。

Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.

21 東風が彼を揚げると、彼は去り、彼をその所から吹き払う。

The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

22 それは彼を投げつけて、あわれむことなく、彼はその力からのがれようと、もがく。

For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would long to flee out of his hand.

23 それは彼に向かって手を鳴らし、あざけり笑って、その所から出て行かせる。

Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
