エゼキエル書 16
1 主の言葉が再びわたしに臨んだ、
Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 「人の子よ、エルサレムにその憎むべき事どもを示して、
Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
3 言え。主なる神はエルサレムにこう言われる、あなたの起り、あなたの生れはカナンびとの地である。あなたの父はアモリびと、あなたの母はヘテびとである。
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD to Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity [is] of the land of Canaan; thy father [was] an Amorite, and thy mother a Hittite.
4 あなたの生れについていえば、その生れた日に、へその緒は切られず、水で洗い清められず、塩でこすられず、また布で包まれなかった。
And [as for] thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple [thee]; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
5 ひとりもあなたをあわれみ見る者なく、情をもってこれらのことの一つをも、あなたにしてやる者もなく、あなたの生れた日に、あなたはきらわれて、野原に捨てられた。
No eye pitied thee, to do any of these to thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.
6 わたしはあなたのかたわらを通り、あなたが血の中にころがりまわっているのを見た時、わたしは血の中にいるあなたに言った、『生きよ、
And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thy own blood, I said to thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live; yes, I said to thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live.
7 野の木のように育て』と。すなわちあなたは成長して大きくなり、一人前の女になり、その乳ぶさは形が整い、髪は長くなったが、着物がなく、裸であった。
I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and become great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: [thy] breasts are fashioned, and thy hair is grown, whereas thou [wast] naked and bare.
8 わたしは再びあなたのかたわらをとおって、あなたを見たが、見よ、あなたは愛せられる年齢に達していたので、わたしは着物のすそであなたをおおい、あなたの裸をかくし、そしてあなたに誓い、あなたと契約を結んだ。そしてあなたはわたしのものとなったと、主なる神は言われる。
Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yes, I swore to thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
9 そこでわたしは水であなたを洗い、あなたの血を洗い落して油を塗り、
Then I washed thee with water; yes, I thoroughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
10 縫い取りした着物を着せ、皮のくつをはかせ、細布をかぶらせ、絹のきれであなたをおおった。
I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
11 また飾り物であなたを飾り、腕輪をあなたの手にはめ、鎖をあなたの首にかけ、
I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
12 鼻には鼻輪、耳には耳輪、頭には美しい冠を与えた。
And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and ear-rings in thy ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.
13 このようにあなたは金銀で飾られ、細布、絹、縫い取りの服をあなたの衣とし、麦粉と、蜜と、油とを食べた。あなたは非常に美しくなって王の地位に進み、
Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment [was of] fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
14 あなたの美しさのために、あなたの名声は国々に広まった。これはわたしが、あなたに施した飾りによって全うされたからであると、主なる神は言われる。
And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it [was] perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
15 ところが、あなたは自分の美しさをたのみ、自分の名声によって姦淫を行い、すべてかたわらを通る者と、ほしいままに姦淫を行った。
But thou didst trust in thy own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.
16 あなたは自分の衣をとって、自分のために、はなやかに色どった聖所を造り、その上で姦淫を行っている。こんなことはかつてなかったこと、またあってはならないことである。
And of thy garments thou didst take, and deck thy high places with divers colors, and play the harlot upon them: [the like things] shall not come, neither shall it be [so].
17 あなたはわたしが与えた金銀の美しい飾りの品をとり、自分のために男の像を造って、これと姦淫を行った。
Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and hast made to thyself images of men, and hast committed lewdness with them.
18 また縫い取りのある自分の衣をとって彼らに着せ、わたしの油と香とをその前に供え、
And hast taken thy broidered garments, and covered them: and thou hast set my oil and my incense before them.
19 またわたしがあなたに与えたパン、わたしがあなたを養うための麦粉、油および蜜を、こうばしきかおりとして彼らの前に供えたと、主なる神は言われる。
My provisions also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, [with which] I fed thee, thou hast even set before them for a sweet savor: and [thus] it was, saith the Lord GOD.
20 あなたはまた、あなたがわたしに産んだむすこ、娘たちをとって、その像に供え、彼らに食わせた。このようなあなたの姦淫は小さい事であろうか。
Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne to me, and these hast thou sacrificed to them to be devoured. [Is this] of thy lewdness a small matter,
21 あなたはわたしの子どもを殺し、火の中を通らせて彼らにささげた。
That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through [the fire] for them?
22 あなたがそのすべての憎むべきことや姦淫を行うに当って、あなたが衣もなく、裸で、血の中にころがりまわっていた自分の若き日のことを思わなかった。
And in all thy abominations and thy deeds of lewdness thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, [and] wast polluted in thy blood.
23 あなたがもろもろの悪を行った後、（あなたはわざわいだ、わざわいだと、主なる神は言われる）
And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe to thee! saith the Lord GOD; )
24 あなたは自分のために高楼を建て、広場、広場に台を造り、
[That] thou hast also built to thee an eminent place, and hast made thee a high place in every street.
25 ちまた、ちまたのつじに台を造って、あなたの美しさを汚し、すべてかたわらを通る者に身をまかせて、大いに姦淫を行っている。
Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast prostituted thyself to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy lewd deeds.
26 あなたはまた、かの肉欲的な隣りエジプトの人々と姦淫を行い、大いに姦淫を行って、わたしを怒らせた。
Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbors, great of flesh; and hast multiplied thy lewd deeds, to provoke me to anger.
27 それゆえ、わたしはわたしの手をあなたの上に伸べて、あなたの賜わる分を減らし、あなたの敵、すなわち、あなたのみだらな行為を恥じるペリシテびとの娘らの欲のままに、あなたを渡した。
Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thy ordinary [food], and delivered thee to the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of thy lewd way.
28 あなたは飽くことがないので、またアッスリヤの人々と姦淫を行ったが、彼らと姦淫を行っても、なお飽くことがなかった。
Thou hast played the harlot also with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable; yes, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldst not be satisfied.
29 あなたはまたカルデヤの商業地と大いに姦淫を行ったが、これと姦淫を行っても、なお飽くことがなかった。
Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan to Chaldea; and yet with this thou wast not satisfied.
30 主なる神は言われる、あなたの心はどんなに恋いわずらうのか。あなたは、これらすべての事を行った。これはあつかましい姦淫のわざである。
How weak is thy heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these [things], the work of an imperious lewd woman;
31 あなたは、ちまた、ちまたのつじに高楼を建て、広場、広場に台を設けたが、価をもらうことをあざけったので、遊女のようではなかった。
In that thou buildest thy eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thy high place in every street; and hast not been as a harlot, in that thou scornest hire;

[But as] a wife that committeth adultery, [who] taketh strangers instead of her husband!
33 人はすべての遊女に物を与える。しかしあなたはすべての恋人に物を与え、彼らにまいないして、あなたと姦淫するために、四方からあなたの所にこさせる。
They give gifts to all lewd women: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come to thee on every side for thy lewdness.
34 このようにあなたは姦淫を行うに当って、他の女と違っている。すなわち、だれもあなたに姦淫をさせたのではない。あなたはかえって価を払い、相手はあなたに払わない。これがあなたの違うところである。
And the contrary is in thee from [other] women in thy unlawful commerce, whereas none followeth thee to commit lewdness: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given to thee, therefore thou art contrary.
35 それで遊女よ、主の言葉を聞け。
Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:
36 主なる神はこう言われる、あなたがその恋人と姦淫して、あなたの恥じる所をあらわし、あなたの裸をあらわし、またすべての偶像と、あなたが彼らにささげたあなたの子どもらの血のゆえに、
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness exposed through thy carnal connection with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give to them;
37 見よ、わたしはあなたと遊んだあなたのすべての恋人、およびすべてあなたが恋した者と、すべてあなたが憎んだ者とを集め、四方から彼らをあなたの所に集めて、あなたの裸を彼らにあらわす。彼らはあなたの裸を、ことごとく見る。
Behold therefore, I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all [them] that thou hast loved, with all [them] that thou hast hated; I will even gather them on every side against thee, and will uncover thy nakedness to them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
38 わたしは姦淫を行った女と、血を流した女がさばかれるように、あなたをさばき、憤りと、ねたみの血とを、あなたに注ぐ。
And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.
39 わたしはあなたを恋人の手に渡す。彼らはあなたの高楼を倒し、台をこわし、あなたの衣をはぎ取り、あなたの美しい飾りの品を奪い、あなたを衣服のない裸者にする。
And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thy eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.
40 彼らは民衆をかり立ててあなたを攻め、石であなたを撃ち、つるぎであなたを切り、
They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.
41 火であなたの家を焼き、多くの女たちの前で、あなたにさばきを行う。こうしてわたしはあなたに淫行をやめさせ、重ねて価を払わせないようにする。
And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.
42 そしてあなたに対するわが憤りをしずめ、わがねたみをあなたから離し、わたしは心を安んじて、再び怒ることをしない。
So will I make my fury towards thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
43 またあなたはその若き日の事を覚えず、すべてこれらの事をもって、わたしを怒らせたから、見よ、わたしもあなたの行うところをあなたのこうべに報いると、主なる神は言われる。あなたはもろもろの憎むべき事に加えて、このみだらな事をおこなったではないか。
Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast provoked me in all these [things]; behold therefore, I also will recompense thy way upon [thy] head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thy abominations.
44 見よ、すべてことわざを用いる者は、あなたについて、『この母にしてこの娘あり』という、ことわざを用いる。
Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use [this] proverb against thee, saying, As [is] the mother, [so is] her daughter.
45 あなたは、その夫と子どもとを捨てたあなたの母の娘、またその夫と子どもとを捨てた姉妹を持っている。あなたの母はヘテびと、あなたの父はアモリびと、
Thou [art] thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou [art] the sister of thy sisters, who lothed their husbands and their children: your mother [was] a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.
46 あなたの姉はサマリヤ、サマリヤはその娘たちと共に、あなたの北に住み、あなたの妹はソドムで、その娘たちと共に、あなたの南に住んでいる。
And thy elder sister [is] Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, [is] Sodom and her daughters.
47 あなたは彼らの道を歩まず、彼らの憎むべき事に従っていないが、しばらくすると、あなたのおこないは、彼らよりもさらに悪くなる。
Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but as [if that were] a very little [thing], thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.
48 主なる神は言われる、わたしは生きている。あなたの妹ソドムとその娘たちは、あなたとあなたの娘たちがしたほどのことはしなかった。
[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
49 見よ、あなたの妹ソドムの罪はこれである。すなわち彼女と、その娘たちは高ぶり、食物に飽き、安泰に暮していたが、彼らは、乏しい者と貧しい者を助けなかった。
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50 彼らは高ぶり、わたしの前に憎むべき事をおこなったので、わたしはそれを見た時、彼らを除いた。
And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw [good].
51 サマリヤはあなたの半分も罪を犯さなかった。あなたは彼らよりも多く憎むべき事をおこない、あなたのおこなったもろもろの憎むべき事によって、あなたの姉妹を義と見せかけた。
Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thy abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thy abominations which thou hast done.
52 あなたはその姉妹を有利にさばいたことによって、あなたもまた自分のはずかしめを負わなければならない。それはあなたが彼らよりも、さらに憎むべきことをした罪によって、彼らはあなたよりも義とされるからである。それであなたも恥を受け、はずかしめを負わなければならない。それはあなたがその姉妹を義と見せかけたからである。
Thou also, who hast judged thy sisters, bear thy own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yes, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
53 わたしは彼らの幸福をもとに返す。すなわちソドムとその娘たちの幸福、サマリヤとその娘たちの幸福、また彼らの中にいるあなたの幸福をもとに返す。
When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then [will I bring again] the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:
54 これはあなたに自分のはずかしめを負わせるため、またすべてあなたのなした事を恥じさせるためである。こうしてあなたは彼らの慰めとなる。
That thou mayest bear thy own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort to them.
55 あなたの姉妹ソドムと、その娘たちとは、そのもとの所に帰り、サマリヤと、その娘たちとは、そのもとの所に帰り、あなたと、あなたの娘たちとは、そのもとの所に帰る。
When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former state, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former state, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former state.
56 あなたの高ぶりの日に、あなたの姉妹ソドムは、あなたの口に、ことわざとなったではなかったか。
For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,
57 すなわちあなたの悪があらわされた時まで、そうではなかったか。しかし今はあなたも彼女と同様に、エドムの娘たちと、すべてその周囲の者、および四方からあなたをあざけるペリシテの娘たちのそしりとなった。
Before thy wickedness was disclosed, as at the time of [thy] reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all [that are] around her, the daughters of the Philistines, who despise thee on every side.
58 あなたはあなたのみだらな行為と、あなたの憎むべき事のとがとを、身に負っていると主は言われる。
Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thy abominations, saith the LORD.
59 主なる神はこう言われる、誓いを軽んじ、契約を破ったあなたには、あなたがしたように、わたしもあなたにする。
For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.
60 しかしわたしはあなたの若き日に、あなたと結んだ契約を覚え、永遠の契約をあなたと立てる。
Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish to thee an everlasting covenant.
61 わたしがあなたの姉および妹を受け、またあなたとの契約によらずに、娘として彼らをあなたに与える時、あなたは自分のおこないを思い出して恥じる。
Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thy elder and thy younger: and I will give them to thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
62 わたしはあなたと契約を立て、あなたはわたしが主であることを知るようになる。
And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD:
63 こうしてすべてあなたの行ったことにつき、わたしがあなたをゆるす時、あなたはそれを思い出して恥じ、その恥のゆえに重ねて口を開くことがないと、主なる神は言われる」。
That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified towards thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.
