出エジプト記 40

1 主はモーセに言われた。

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

2 「正月の元日にあなたは会見の天幕なる幕屋を建てなければならない。

On the day of the first month, on the first of the month, shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.

3 そして、その中にあかしの箱を置き、垂幕で、箱を隔て隠し、

And thou shalt put in it the ark of the testimony, and shalt cover the ark with the veil.

4 また、机を携え入れ、それに並べるものを並べ、燭台を携え入れて、そのともしびをともさなければならない。

And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it. And thou shalt bring in the candlestick and light its lamps.

5 あなたはまた金の香の祭壇を、あかしの箱の前にすえ、とばりを幕屋の入口にかけなければならない。

And thou shalt set the golden altar for the incense before the ark of the testimony; and hang up the curtain of the entrance to the tabernacle.

6 また燔祭の祭壇を会見の天幕なる幕屋の入口の前にすえ、

And thou shalt set the altar of burnt-offering before the entrance of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.

7 洗盤を会見の天幕と祭壇との間にすえて、これに水を入れなければならない。

And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shalt put water in it.

8 また周囲に庭を設け、庭の門にとばりをかけなければならない。

And thou shalt fix the court round about, and hang up the curtain at the gate of the court.

9 そして注ぎ油をとって、幕屋とその中のすべてのものに注ぎ、それとそのもろもろの器とを聖別しなければならない、こうして、それは聖となるであろう。

And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shalt hallow it, and all its utensils; and it shall be holy.

10 あなたはまた燔祭の祭壇と、そのすべての器に油を注いで、その祭壇を聖別しなければならない。こうして祭壇は、いと聖なるものとなるであろう。

And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offering, and all its utensils; and thou shalt hallow the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.

11 また洗盤と、その台とに油を注いで、これを聖別し、

And thou shalt anoint the laver and its stand, and hallow it.

12 アロンとその子たちを会見の幕屋の入口に連れてきて、水で彼らを洗い、

And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons near, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and bathe them with water.

13 アロンに聖なる服を着せ、これに油を注いで聖別し、祭司の務をさせなければならない。

And thou shalt clothe Aaron with the holy garments, and anoint him, and hallow him, that he may serve me as priest.

14 また彼の子たちを連れてきて、これに服を着せ、

And thou shalt bring his sons near, and clothe them with vests.

15 その父に油を注いだように、彼らにも油を注いで、祭司の務をさせなければならない。彼らが油そそがれることは、代々ながく祭司職のためになすべきことである」。

And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may serve me as priests. And their anointing shall be to them an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

16 モーセはそのように行った。すなわち主が彼に命じられたように行った。

And Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.

17 第二年の正月になって、その月の元日に幕屋は建った。

And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, that the tabernacle was set up.

18 すなわちモーセは幕屋を建て、その座をすえ、その枠を立て、その横木をさし込み、その柱を立て、

And Moses set up the tabernacle, and put in its bases, and fixed its boards, and put in its bars, and set up its pillars.

19 幕屋の上に天幕をひろげ、その上に天幕のおおいをかけた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above over it; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

20 彼はまたあかしの板をとって箱に納め、さおを箱につけ、贖罪所を箱の上に置き、

And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and put the staves in the ark, and put the mercy-seat above on the ark.

21 箱を幕屋に携え入れ、隔ての垂幕をかけて、あかしの箱を隠した。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and hung up the veil of separation, and covered the ark of the testimony; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

22 彼はまた会見の天幕なる幕屋の内部の北側、垂幕の外に机をすえ、

And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside the veil,

23 その上にパンを列に並べて、主の前に供えた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

and arranged the bread in order upon it before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

24 彼はまた会見の天幕なる幕屋の内部の南側に、机にむかい合わせて燭台をすえ、

And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, opposite to the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

25 主の前にともしびをともした。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

And he lighted the lamps before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

26 彼は会見の幕屋の中、垂幕の前に金の祭壇をすえ、

And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil.

27 その上に香ばしい薫香をたいた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

And he burnt on it fragrant incense; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

28 彼はまた幕屋の入口にとばりをかけ、

And he hung up the curtain of the entrance to the tabernacle.

29 燔祭の祭壇を会見の天幕なる幕屋の入口にすえ、その上に燔祭と素祭をささげた。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

And he put the altar of burnt-offering at the entrance to the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt-offering and the oblation; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

30 彼はまた会見の天幕と祭壇との間に洗盤を置き、洗うためにそれに水を入れた。

And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing.

31 モーセとアロンおよびその子たちは、それで手と足を洗った。

And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet out of it:

32 すなわち会見の天幕にはいるとき、また祭壇に近づくとき、そこで洗った。主がモーセに命じられたとおりである。

when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they drew near to the altar, they washed; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

33 また幕屋と祭壇の周囲に庭を設け、庭の門にとばりをかけた。このようにしてモーセはその工事を終えた。

And he set up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the curtain of the gate of the court. And so Moses finished the work.

34 そのとき、雲は会見の天幕をおおい、主の栄光が幕屋に満ちた。

And the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

35 モーセは会見の幕屋に、はいることができなかった。雲がその上にとどまり、主の栄光が幕屋に満ちていたからである。

And Moses could not enter into the tent of meeting, for the cloud abode on it, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.

36 雲が幕屋の上からのぼる時、イスラエルの人々は道に進んだ。彼らはその旅路において常にそうした。

And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel journeyed in all their journeys.

37 しかし、雲がのぼらない時は、そののぼる日まで道に進まなかった。

And if the cloud were not taken up, then they did not journey until the day that it was taken up.

38 すなわちイスラエルの家のすべての者の前に、昼は幕屋の上に主の雲があり、夜は雲の中に火があった。彼らの旅路において常にそうであった。

For the cloud of Jehovah was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
