1 門を守る者の組は次のとおりである。すなわちコラびとのうちでは、アサフの子孫のうちのコレの子メシレミヤ。

For the divisions of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Abiasaph.

2 メシレミヤの子たちは、長子はゼカリヤ、次はエデアエル、第三はゼバデヤ、第四はヤテニエル、

Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

3 第五はエラム、第六はヨハナン、第七はエリヨエナイである。

Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.

4 オベデ・エドムの子たちは、長子はシマヤ、次はヨザバデ、第三はヨア、第四はサカル、第五はネタネル、

Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sakar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,

5 第六はアンミエル、第七はイッサカル、第八はピウレタイである。神が彼を祝福されたからである。

Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

6 彼の子シマヤにも数人の子が生れ、有能な人々であったので、その父の家を治める者となった。

Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

7 すなわちシマヤの子たちはオテニ、レパエル、オベデ、エルザバデで、エルザバデの兄弟エリウとセマキヤは力ある人々であった。

The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, and Elzabad, and his brothers were valiant men, Elihu, and Semakiah.

8 これらは皆オベデ・エドムの子孫である。彼らはその子たちおよびその兄弟たちと共にその勤めに適した力ある人々で、合わせて六十二人、みなオベデ・エドムに属する者である。

All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom: they and their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service; sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

9 メシレミヤにも子たちと兄弟たち合わせて十八人あって、皆力ある人々であった。

Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, valiant men, eighteen.

10 メラリの子孫ホサにも子たちがあった。そのかしらはシムリ、これは長子ではなかったが、父はこれをかしらにしたのであった。

Also Hosah, of the descendants of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),

11 次はヒルキヤ、第三はテバリヤ、第四はゼカリヤである。ホサの子たちと兄弟たちは合わせて十三人である。

Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.

12 これらは門を守る者の組の長たる人々であって、その兄弟たちと同様に務をなして、主の宮に仕えた。

Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the house of the LORD.

13 彼らはそれぞれ門のために小なる者も、大なる者も等しく、その氏族にしたがってくじを引いた。

They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers' houses, for every gate.

14 東の門のくじはシレミヤに当った。また彼の子で思慮深い議士ゼカリヤのためにくじを引いたが、北の門のくじがこれに当った。

The lot east fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out north.

15 オベデ・エドムには南の門のくじ、その子たちには倉のくじ、

To Obed-Edom the south; and to his sons, the vestibules.

16 シュパムとホサには西の門のくじが当った。これは坂の大路にあるシャレケテの門のかたわらにあった。守る者と守る者とが相対していた。

To Hosah fell the west, namely, the chamber gate on the upper road. Watchman opposite watchman.

17 東の方には毎日六人、北の方には毎日四人、南の方には毎日四人、倉には二人と二人、

On the east there were six a day, on the north four a day, on the south four a day, and for the vestibules two and two.

18 西の方パルバルには大路に四人、パルバルに二人。

For the colonnade on the west, four at the gateway, and two at the colonnade.

19 門を守る者の組は以上のとおりで、コラの子孫とメラリの子孫であった。

These were the divisions of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.

20 レビびとのうちアヒヤは神の宮の倉および聖なる物の倉をつかさどった。

And the Levites, their brothers, were over the treasures of God's house, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

21 ラダンの子孫すなわちラダンから出たゲルションびとの子孫で、ゲルションびとの氏族の長はエヒエリである。

The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the ancestral houses belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.

22 エヒエリ、ゼタムおよびその兄弟ヨエルの子たちは主の宮の倉をつかさどった。

The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the house of the LORD.

23 アムラムびと、イヅハルびと、ヘブロンびと、ウジエルびとのうちでは次のとおりであった。

Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:

24 すなわちモーセの子ゲルショムの子シブエルは倉のつかさであった。

and Shubael the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.

25 その兄弟でエリエゼルから出た者は、その子はレハビヤ、その子はエサヤ、その子はヨラム、その子はジクリ、その子はシロミテである。

His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zikri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

26 このシロミテとその兄弟たちはすべての聖なる物の倉をつかさどった。これはダビデ王と、氏族の長と、千人の長と、百人の長と、軍の長たちのささげたものである。

This Shelomith and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the ancestral houses, and the commanders over thousands and hundreds, and the commanders of the army, had dedicated.

27 すなわち彼らが戦いで獲たぶんどり物のうちから主の宮の修繕のためにささげたものである。

They dedicated some of the spoil won in battles to repair the house of the LORD.

28 またすべて先見者サムエル、キシの子サウル、ネルの子アブネル、ゼルヤの子ヨアブなどがささげた物。すべてこれらのささげ物はシロミテとその兄弟たちが管理した。

And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, all who dedicated anything, were in the care of Shelomith and his brothers.

29 イヅハルびとのうちでは、ケナニヤとその子たちが、つかさおよびさばきびととしてイスラエルの外事のために選ばれた。

Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

30 ヘブロンびとのうちでは、ハシャビヤおよびその兄弟など勇士千七百人があって、ヨルダンのこなた、すなわち西の方でイスラエルの監督となり、主のすべての事を行い、王に奉仕した。

Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, men of valor, one thousand seven hundred, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of the LORD, and for the service of the king.

31 ヘブロンびとのうちでは、系図と氏族によってエリヤがヘブロンびとの長であったが、ダビデの治世の第四十年に彼らを尋ね求め、ギレアデのヤゼルで彼らのうちから大勇士を得た。

Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by ancestral houses. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

32 ダビデ王は彼とその兄弟など氏族の長たち二千七百人の勇士をルベンびと、ガドびと、マナセびとの半部族の監督となし、すべて神につける事と王の事とをつかさどらせた。

His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of ancestral houses, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
