ルカの福音書 20
1 ある日のこと，彼が神殿で民を教え，福音を宣教していると，祭司たちと律法学者たちが長老たちと共に彼のもとにやって来た。
On one of those days, as he was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the Good News, the priests and Torah-Teachers came to him with the elders.
2 彼らは彼に尋ねた，「わたしたちに告げなさい。あなたは何の権威によってこうした事をするのか。また，だれがその権威をあなたに与えたのか」。
They asked him, “Tell us: by what authority do you do these things? Or who is giving you this authority?”
3 彼は彼らに答えた，「わたしもあなた方に一つのことを尋ねよう。わたしに告げなさい。
He answered them, “I also will ask you one question. Tell me:
4 ヨハネのバプテスマは天からのものだったか，それとも人からのものだったか」 。
the baptism of John [Yah is gracious], was it from heaven, or from men?”
5 彼らは互いに論じ合って言った，「我々が『天から』と言えば，彼は『あなた方が彼を信じなかったのはなぜか』と言うだろう。
They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’
6 だが，我々が『人から』と言えば，民はみな我々を石打ちにするだろう。彼らがヨハネは預言者だと信じ込んでいるからだ」。
But if we say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John [Yah is gracious] was a prophet.”
7 彼らは，自分たちはそれがどこからのものか知らないと答えた。
They answered that they didn’t know where it was from.
8 イエスは彼らに言った，「わたしも，何の権威によってこうした事をするのかをあなた方に告げない」 。
Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
9 彼は民に次のたとえを告げ始めた。「ある人がブドウ園を造り，それを何人かの耕作人たちに貸して，長い間外国に出かけた。
He began to tell the people this parable. “A man planted a vineyard, and rented it out to some farmers, and went into another country for a long time.
10 しかるべき季節に，彼は召使いを耕作人たちのところに送って，ブドウ園の産物の分け前を集めようとした。しかし彼らはその召使いを打ちたたき，何も持たせずに送り返した。
At the proper season, he sent a servant to the farmers to collect his share of the fruit of the vineyard. But the farmers beat him, and sent him away empty.
11 彼はさらに別の召使いを送ったが，彼らはその召使いをも打ちたたき，ひどい扱いをし，何も持たせずに送り返した。
He sent yet another servant, and they also beat him, and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
12 彼はさらに三人目の者を送ったが，彼らはその召使いにも傷を負わせ，外に投げ出した。
He sent yet a third, and they also wounded him, and threw him out.
13 ブドウ園の主人は言った，『どうしようか。わたしの愛する息子を送ろう。彼を見れば，彼らも彼を敬うだろう』。
The lord of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my agapetos ·beloved, esteemed· son. It may be that seeing him, they will respect him.’
14 「ところが耕作人たちは，彼を見て，互いに論じ合って言った，『これは相続人だ。さあ，こいつを殺そう。そうすれば，相続財産は我々の物になるのだ』。
“But when the farmers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.’
15 彼らは彼を，そのブドウ園の外に投げ出して殺した。それで，ブドウ園の主人は彼らをどうするだろうか。
They threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them?
16 やって来てそれらの耕作人たちを滅ぼし，そのブドウ園をほかの者たちに与えるだろう」。 それを聞くと彼らは言った，「そんなことがあってはならない！」
He will come and destroy these farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.” When they heard it, they said, “May it never be!”
17 しかし彼は彼らを見つめて言った，「では，こう書かれているのはどういうことか。 『建てる者たちが退けた石，それが主要な隅石となった』。
But he looked at them, and said, “Then what is this that is written, ‘The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the chief cornerstone'?
18 「この石の上に落ちる者は皆，粉々に砕かれ，その石がだれかの上に落ちれば，それはその者をみじんにするだろう」。
Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but it will crush whomever it falls on to dust.”
19 祭司長たちとファリサイ人たちは，まさにその時，彼に手をかけようとしたが，民を恐れた。彼がこのたとえを自分たちに当てつけて話したことを知っていたからである。
The chief priests and the Torah-Teachers sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people— for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.
20 彼らは彼の様子をうかがって，義人のふりをしたスパイたちを遣わした。彼の言葉じりを捕らえて，総督の支配力と権威のもとに彼を引き渡すためであった。
They watched him, and sent out spies, who pretended to be upright, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
21 彼らは彼に言った，「先生，わたしたちはあなたが正しいことを話したり教えたりされること，また，だれをもえこひいきすることなく，神の道を正しく教えられることを知っています。
They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you say and teach what is right, and are not partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God.
22 カエサルに税金を払うことは許されているでしょうか，許されていないでしょうか」。
Does Torah ·Teaching· permit us to pay taxes to Caesar [Ruler], or not?”
23 しかし彼は，彼らのずる賢さに気づいて，彼らに言った，「なぜあなた方はわたしを試すのか。
But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test me?
24 一デナリオスをわたしに見せなさい。そこにあるのはだれの像と銘なのか」 。 彼らは答えた，「カエサルのです」。
Show me a denarius [one day’s wage]. Whose image and inscription are on it?” They answered, “Caesar’s [Ruler]’s.”
25 彼は彼らに答えた，「それなら，カエサルのものはカエサルに，神のものは神に返しなさい」 。
He said to them, “Then give to Caesar [Ruler] the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
26 彼らは民の前で彼の言葉じりを捕らえることができなかった。彼の答えに驚嘆し，黙ってしまった。
They were not able to trap him in his words before the people. They marveled at his answer, and were silent.
27 サドカイ人たちのある者たちが彼のもとにやって来た。復活があることを否定する者たちである。
Some of the Sadducees [Morally-upright] came to him, those who deny that there is a resurrection.
28 彼に尋ねて言った，「先生，モーセはわたしたちに，『もしある人の兄に妻がいて，子供を残さずに死んだ場合，彼の弟がその妻をめとり，自分の兄のために子孫を起こさなければならない』と書きました。
They asked him, “Teacher, Moses [Drawn out] wrote to us that if a man’s brother dies having a wife, and he is childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up children for his brother.
29 ところで，七人の兄弟がいました。最初の者が妻をめとりましたが，子供を残さずに死にました。
There were therefore seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died childless.
30 二番目の者が彼女をめとりましたが，子供を残さずに死にました。
The second took her as wife, and he died childless.
31 三番目の者が彼女をめとりました。そして同じように七人全員が子供を残さずに死にました。
The third took her, and likewise the seven all left no children, and died.
32 その後，その女も死にました。
Afterward the woman also died.
33 それで，復活において，彼女は彼らのうちだれの妻になるのですか。七人全員が彼女を妻にしたのですから」。
Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them will she be? For the seven had her as a wife.”
Yeshua [Salvation] said to them, “The children of this age marry, and are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
But those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
36 彼らはもはや死ぬことはあり得ないからだ。み使いのようだからであり，また復活の子らとして神の子らであるからだ。
For they can’t die any more, for they are like the angels, and are children of God, being children of the resurrection.
37 だが，死んだ者たちが起こされることについては，モーセも『茂み』のくだりで，主を『アブラハムの神，イサクの神，ヤコブの神』と呼んで，そのことを示している。
But that the dead are raised, even Moses [Drawn out] showed at the bush, when Yahweh said ‘The God of Abraham [Father of a multitude], the God of Isaac [Laughter], and the God of Jacob [Supplanter].’
38 この方は死んだ者たちの神ではなく，生きている者たちの神なのだ。その方にとってはすべての人が生きているのだ」 。
Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him.”
39 律法学者たちのある者たちが答えた，「先生，立派なお答えです」。
Some of the Torah-Teachers answered, “Teacher, you speak well.”
40 彼らは彼にこれ以上あえて何かを尋ねることはなかった。
They didn’t dare to ask him any more questions.
41 彼は彼らに言った，「どうして彼らはキリストがダビデの子だと言うのか。
He said to them, “Why do they say that the Messiah [Anointed one] is David [Beloved]’s son?
42 ダビデ自身，詩編の書の中でこう言っている。 『主はわたしの主に言われた，「わたしの右に座っていなさい，
For David [Beloved] himself says in the book of Psalms,
43 わたしがあなたの敵たちをあなたの足台とするまで」』。
‘Yahweh said to adoni [my Lord], “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’
44 「それで，ダビデが彼を主と呼んでいるのなら，どうして彼はダビデの子なのか」 。
“David [Beloved] therefore calls him Lord, so how is he his son?”
45 すべての民が聞いているところで，彼は弟子たちに言った，
In the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples,
46 「律法学者たちに用心しなさい。彼らが好むのは，長い衣をまとって歩き回ることであり，彼らが愛しているのは，市場であいさつされること，そして会堂での上席や祝宴での上座だ。
“Beware of the Torah-Teachers, who like to walk in long robes, and phileo ·affectionately love, have high regard for· greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts;
47 彼らは，やもめたちの家々を食い物にし，見せかけのために長い祈りをする者たちだ。こうした者たちは最も厳しい裁きを受けるだろう」 。
who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers: these will receive greater condemnation.”
