民数記 1
1 エジプトの國を出たる次の年の二月の一日にヱホバ、シナイの野に於て集會の幕屋の中にてモーセに告て言たまはく
The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 汝等イスラエルの子孫の全會衆の惣數をその宗族に依り其父祖の家に循ひて核べその諸の男丁の名の數と頭數とを得よ
“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one,
3 すなはちイスラエルの中凡て二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る者を汝とアロンその軍旅にしたがひて數ふべし
from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall count them by their divisions.
4 また諸の支派おのおのその父祖の家の長たる者一人を出して汝等とともならしむべし
With you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of his fathers’ house.
5 汝らとともに立べき人々の名は是なり即ちルベンよりはシデウルの子エリヅル
These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.
6 シメオンよりはツリシヤダイの子シルミエル
Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
7 ユダよりはアミナダブの子ナシヨン
Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
8 イツサカルよりはツアルの子ネタニエル
Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.
9 ゼブルンよりはヘロンの子エリアブ
Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.
10 ヨセフの子等の中にてはエフライムよりはアミホデの子エリシヤマ、マナセよりはバダヅルの子ガマリエル
Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
11 ベニヤミンよりはギデオニの子アビダン
Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.
12 ダンよりはアミシヤダイの子アヒエゼル
Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
13 アセルよりはオクランの子バギエル
Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.
14 ガドよりはデウエルの子エリアサフ
Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
15 ナフタリよりはエナンの子アヒラ
Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.”
16 是等は會衆の中より選み出されし者にてその父祖の支派の牧伯またイスラエルの千人の長なり
These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.
17 かくてモーセとアロンここに名を擧たる人々を率領て
Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.
18 二月の一日に會衆をことごとく集めければ彼等その宗族に循ひその父祖の家にしたがひその名の數にしたがひて自分の出生を述たりかく二十歳以上の者ことごとく核へらる
They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.
19 ヱホバの命じたまひしごとくモーセ、シナイの野にて彼等を核數たり
As the LORD commanded Moses, so he counted them in the wilderness of Sinai.
20 すなはちイスラエルの長子ルベンの子等より生れたる者をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるに其名の數に依りその頭數によれば
The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
21 ルベンの支派の中にその核數られし者四萬六千五百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand and five hundred.
22 またシメオンの子等より生れたる者等をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數に依りその頭數に依ば
Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were counted of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
23 シメオンの支派の中にその核數られし者五萬九千三百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
24 またガドの子等より生れたる者をその宗族に依りその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭に出るに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數に依れば
Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
25 ガドの支派の中にその核數られし者四萬五千六百五十人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
26 ユダの子等より生れたる者をその宗族に依りその父祖の家に循ひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數に依れば
Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
27 ユダの支派の中にその核數られし者七萬四千六百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
28 イツサカルの子等より生れたる者をその宗族に依りその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭に出るに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數に依ば
Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
29 イツサカルの支派の中にその核數られし者五萬四千四百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
30 ゼブルンの子等より生れたる者をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數によれば
Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
31 ゼブルンの支派の中に其核數られし者五萬七千四百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.
32 ヨセフの子等の中エフライムの子等より生れたる者をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數に依ば
Of the children of Joseph: of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
33 エフライムの支派の中にその核數られし者四萬五百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.
34 又マナセの子等より生れたる者をその宗族に依りその父祖の家に循ひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數に依ば
Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
35 マナセの支派の中にその核數られし者三萬二千二百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand and two hundred.
36 ベニヤミンの子等より生れたる者をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數によれば
Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
37 ベニヤミンの支派の中にその數へられし者三萬五千四百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand and four hundred.
38 ダンの子等より生れたる者をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數によれば
Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
39 ダンの支派の中にその核數られし者六萬二千七百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.
40 アセルの子等より生れたる者をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數によれば
Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
41 アセルの支派の中にその核數られし者四萬一千五百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.
42 ナフタリの子等より生れたる者をその宗族によりその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁を數へたるにその名の數によれば
Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war:
43 ナフタリの支派の中にその數へられし者五萬三千四百人ありき
those who were counted of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
44 是すなはちその核數られし者にしてモーセとアロンとイスラエルの牧伯等の數ふる所是のごとしその牧伯等は十二人にして各々その父祖の家のために出たるなり
These are those who were counted, whom Moses and Aaron counted, and the twelve men who were princes of Israel, each one for his fathers’ house.
45 斯イスラエルの子孫をその父祖の家にしたがひて核べ二十歳以上にして戰爭にいづるに勝る男丁をイスラルの中に數へたるに
So all those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel—
46 其核數られし者都合六十萬三千五百五十人ありき
all those who were counted were six hundred and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
47 但しレビの支派の人はその父祖にしたがひて核數らるること無りき
But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted amongst them.
48 即ちヱホバ、モーセに告て言たまひけらく
For the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
49 惟レビの支派のみは汝これを核數べからずまたその總數をイスラエルの子孫とともに計ふべからざるなり
“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them amongst the children of Israel;
50 なんぢレビ人をして律法の幕屋とその諸の器具と其に屬する諸の物を管理らしむべし彼等はその幕屋とその諸の器具を運搬ぶことを爲しまたこれが役事を爲し幕屋の四圍にその營を張べし
but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.
51 幕屋を移す時はレビ人これを折卸し幕屋を立る時はレビ人これを組たつべし外人のこれに近く者は殺さるべし
When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
52 イスラエルの子孫はその軍旅に循ひて各々自己の營にその天幕を張り各人その隊の纛の下に天幕を張べし
The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.
53 然どレビ人は律法の幕屋の四圍に營を張べし是イスラエルの子孫の全會衆の上に震怒のおよぶことなからん爲なりレビ人は律法の幕屋をあづかり守るべし
But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”
54 是においてイスラエルの子孫ヱホバのモーセに命じたまひしごとくに凡て爲し斯おこなへり
Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so they did.
